It's one thing to hate Baiken's GCs, which can be hidden anywhere and you can't see until you're hit or dealing with it.

Hakumen's D gets more hate than renka because the drive is like blocking from the other side (seriosusly the thing I hate the most about it. If I cross you up FU you don't get autoblock gems.) and is only baitable but not beatable.

Baiken's GCs are all baitable and beatable.

Big difference between Baiken, who's called cheap and easy, and Hakumen who gets Jam-level damage from

something you simply can't beat on use.

Renka is crazy damage, but usually that happens after you've already opened someone up.

TK Tsubaki is just TK Youzansen. You just have to expect it if Hakumen has 3 stars. Not a big deal. people need ot lose.

Anyways I'm online, I'm willing to have games tonight, I think.

People just hate having to play different against Hakumen. They think they have a god given right to play the exact way they play in other matchups even though every matchup is different and think its unfair if they have to adjust to his counters. I mean, it's come to the point where they do barely any damage, 2k, and you leave yourself wide open for anything when you fuck up.

And it gets beat by throws. And attacks of the wrong type. 6D > loses to lows, 2D > loses to overheads, etc.

fun part, most people i play are getting hit with 3c or kishuu 3C.

they blame his D.

i cannot wait till CP. this will be fun.

its just like in cs1 tsubaki players minus those small few lost alll the time, blamed it on her being bad. cs2 comes around shes dumb and they still lose.

i fight hakumen all the time with ragna, jin, and relius.

im not having these problems.

whenever i get hit with D i always, ALWAYS blame myself. even when they mash it. "Shoulda saw it comin' fang get a grip"

Yeah me neither. I can smell other Haku's counters coming a mile away. :P I just stand there and 5C.

I had something like that happen with Skeletal. He hit me with 6C fatal and stopped, waiting for a burst. But I figured he would know that so I just didn't do anything and ran off.

The Hakumen matchup is just more heavily throw-based for a lot of the more rushdown chars. You just need to throw the Ds and make him try and break throws but instead do other things and punish his whiffed throws with moves like Jin's 6B that are not throwable. If they mash D it's the easiest thing in the game to beat, just throw over and over till they stop or die lol.

On paper that's how it should work, but there is much more to it when you're fighting a good hakumen.

Well most beginner Hakumen will spam the drive....ya know like me.

That's a given. Not including you (I don't actually know how you play), a linear style of anti airs and throws will take down any beginner haku, and probably a lot of intermediate ones too sadly. But when you fight a high level Haku, one that knows both his character and the system, your creativity and yomi will really be put to the test.

It's miles different than fighting an intermediate one.

That's true for any character though.
