zer0kage Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 I'm curious how does Meifang fare in AHF? I don't see kubo vids in that and alot of AHF Meifangs love to TK 1236 alot.
CrimsonDisaster Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 Mei-Feng is still pretty good. Still does ungodly amounts of damage off various setups, super-robot-super still gives you a good setup... in fact she's pretty much the same but better than she was in original AH (AH DEMO? D: )
zer0kage Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 Super robot super is like the most awesome super to take on Saki's flashkick super D:. I assume she can still do 5050 mixups off 214C w/massive clash frames, 6B airunblockable and jcable for an aerial combo on hit making it a deadly aa while having longer ranged normals? Hopefully her bnb is still the same. Anybody got a notation for it? I cant find where the IAD jC should kick in. Otherwise Ill have to use 2 HCs to get the same damage 2A 2B 2C 236B 236B 6D 5B 5C 6D 5B 5C 236B 236B 632146D <aerial> it's a watered down variation lol . Not too sure whether fireball super to setup a charged normal is specific to her or its a general trick.
CrimsonDisaster Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 2A > 2B > 2C XX 236B 6D 5A > 5C IAD iadC, land, dash 6B JC jC 5D jC, land... etc. etc. You pretty much have to eyeball where you are on the screen and how much bar you have to figure out how to finish her combos beyond the first HC.
zer0kage Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 Last session was fun. Combos were flowing nicely, the IAD cancel timing is so lax compared to stuff in GG eg OS 5H CH iad followups. Stuff like if you start the bnb from 2B's max range at best you have to fireball super after the 236B so to ensure you can get a decent aerial followup to knockdown as iad jC 5A 5C will whiff sort of thing. Sucks that 5B 5C doesnt allow that iad JC in at all. D: Now I need more experience against various Arcanas esp stuff like lightning pressure or water armor. Besides is Meifang a real rushdown character like Heart? She has a sick 2A despite the lack of range and it leads to her already powerful bnb. It seems vids of her show some footsieing and alot of whiff baiting. This game is fun though.
CrimsonDisaster Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 Mei-feng is more of a patient, pick your spot to attack kind of character. Lacks the ridiculous clash frames and movement speed to be a full-out rushdown character. You get your chances to rush down but it's more footsie-esque stuff till you get your opening. Thanks to homing and stuff, she can win off a lot of silly random hits (like anything to jC 5D miscellaneous air normal, IAD combo) Though in AH:Demo you could pretty much win by doing 6B a lot. Heart is an entirely different beast with ridiculous clash frames on already ridiculous normals, and some of the best post-clash moves in the game (DP/DP super) and huge damage off whatever. I need to get around to "updating" my PS2 to get this game again.
Ceirnian Posted October 9, 2007 Posted October 9, 2007 So, the game is out folks =] I thought the game comes out in a few days?

Tr@pzt@r Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 Hey every body i just got my copy of AH today and since im a such a lazy bastard and i dont feel like thumbing through 52 pages i would like to know the Arcade button set up :o
Necrosis Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 I second this request and state that my copy reached the USA today. Did anyone ever post strats or combos or anything for Konoha and Kira?
fragile Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 Everything is on GuardCrush forum-http://www.guardcrush.net/forums/index.php? and the wiki-http://guardcrush.net/wiki/index.php/Main_Page (though it's really incomplete but there's some good info of some characters)
Abominable K Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 The options menu put everything in kanji, so I have no clue how to change the controls for my stick.
Zinac Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 The options menu put everything in kanji, so I have no clue how to change the controls for my stick. Thats what you get for trying to play games in moonspeak.
CrimsonDisaster Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 Buttons: ABC D A - light B - medium C - heavy D - homing go nuts (if your stick is a normal PS2 stick then it's probably the default setting lol)
Killey Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 Got the game and having never played it before I must say that this game is extremely easy to get into. It doesn't take long to pull off those flashy long combos you see in most match vids. I feel bad for using Kamui but she's the one character that has a familiar feel to most guilty gear characters.
CrimsonDisaster Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 Why would you feel bad about using Kamui when she's not nearly as broken as she was in vanilla AH/AH:DEMO?
Godofhardcore Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 1. anybody else get the Pink CD with their copy? 2. It's rare for me to say this about a fighter but........I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I'M DOING
testament101 Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 is there any site for strats/comboes yet? I wanna play the goth puppet suitcase chick but I can't find anything for her yet...still deciphering the move list...
