I had several of these happening to me, I play agains't someone online, and when I burst, sometimes they can tech almost instantly leving me barely no time to escape and wasting one precious burst but whenever I get bursted, I try and tech as fast as I can, it still only when I hit the ground while they are able to tech when they are still in mid-air and pretty close to me, and sometimes they can hit me after my burst before i'm even able to block how is that?

If the burst hits them and it says "Counter" they can't tech until they hit the ground (unless they were in the air when they were attacking you then it still makes take longer to tech). Some moves don't have counter hit state a bit towards the end of the animation, even though you can still hit them with a burst during the recovery of their move. Can't give you an example off the top of my head, but it happens.

If they don't get counter hit by the burst then most people if they are mashing tech will tech in the air and be able to pretty much move immediately. You should pay attention to how they got hit so you can decide to setup your offense or have a defense ready.

counter hit bursts add significantly more untechable time than non-counter hit. The same principle applies for counter assaults, if they do not land as counter hits then they are a lot worse.

Just to give you an idea of how it would look, go to training and set the opponent to Ragna. Using the recording function and make him do 5B>5C>2D

Let him hit you and burst a bit before he hits you with 2D. Ragna should get counter hit by the burst.

Do it again except burst right after 2D hits. Ragna is still recovering from the move, but isn't in Counter Hit state, so the burst pushes him back but he can tech in the air.

Gold Bursts should give untechable launch no matter if it's a CH or not.

I was wondering about Green Bursts though; helpful thread. Hated bursting and then the opponent just herpaderps back to me right after, now I know to burst in better places.
