Alpha152 Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 I'm pretty sure before BB starts, so about 1-3 but I'm not sure if we have enough monitors to run P4 casuals during the BB tourney and I'm not sure if we're actually holding a P4 tourney or just practicing.

I ended up losing both of my matches, getting absorbed despite being the worst player, and then being on the winning team. Shoutouts to our leader who IIRC only played a single match. "You have to have a cool name to get picked" The matches were really hype though and it was awesome all around. Great job though, the turnout was really well. That was some of the most fun i've had at this venue yet. Shoutouts to everyone for showing up and keeping the scene strong, it's always a pleasure. GGs, looking forward to next time.

Actually for real, we could use someone to help babysit the stream and/or brackets. I'll probably bring a tablet next time so one or the other can happen. In unrelated news, the one on 8/11/12 is probably NOT happening. There are a number of conflicting events, so I don't think it's a physical possibility. Still, keep an eye on the thread to see what we'll be doing in the near future. Also, word on the grapevine is, a certain mainstream fighting game stream/tournament is going to have a WNF exhibition and a tournament on 8/12/12. Can't say until it's confirmed, but it's out there. It was great being at a WC event. :D Oh and sorry about the pad mishaps, the second USB port of the station-2 ps3 and the multi-tap USB connected to it both were not functioning properly, the pads were actually turned off but when inserted into that port they wouldn't connect for whatever reason and when trying to assign controllers they'd end up being still linked to the stream ps3, causing problems. We had to actually remove the multi-tap USB and use the PS3s first port to get the controllers to connect to the system. >_<

I go by Requiem (my username is my PSN ID) and I am definitely going to start coming to these events to get some P4UMA practice in! I'm absolutely out of practice (and was never good) at BlazBlue so I don't know if I'll play that, but I am psyched to attend on the 25th. If I don't enter the BlazBlue side, I can definitely babysit the brackets / stream for that time - I stream all sorts of games via Twitch / XSplit as a hobby for a website / community I frequent, so I know mostly how it works. Give me a 5 minute overview of the equipment and I should be able to keep it from exploding.
