How bad is aigis vs. Titsuru? I was under the impression it was even

I'm just saying Aigis will have a tougher time than most of her match-ups against Mitsuru. Even for Aigis is basically saying it's just a worst match-up than she should expect.

edit: I will have the match-up threads up with the info I collected soon. Some match-ups don't have info which is to be expected. I don't have match-up favors.

Does anyone know any pretty good, practical combos that can be used while NOT in orgia mode? I mean she's wonderful for pressure and mix-up in orgia mode (I love how j.C combos into megido off pretty much anything) but in normal mode, the most damaging combos I can come up with require 7th gen radical cannon which is too slow to be truly reliable.

The "good" combos you do in normal mode aren't really for damage but mostly for setting up spacing/positioning or buying time to recover orgy meter. But if you really need that damage you can do simple BnBs and change the enders to like j.c xx Hard Drive super (no clue what the actual name is, great goddess shield?) which doesn't even do that much.

Is anyone working on updating the wiki / MM data thread with more specific info? I wouldn't mind hitting the lab and helping out

I just made a thread for this. Go ahead and post anything useful you find.

Ohhh, I see. Thank you! And yes, Goddess Shield seems awful. Even in the tourneys, the only time I ever saw it used was to clear a bunch of space and then One More Cancel out of it to prevent punishment.

The salt will roll in, but Aigis is a legit character that takes a lot of skill to use. Some of her combos I've seen on the jp wiki are insane. She gets good damage off mix-up, which will make a lot of people mad. Still, she ain't no CT Nu, so the salt won't be as bad. I still get salt from Lambda wins from time to time, I expect the same for Aigis.

Do you have the link for the jp wiki or does anyone else have?

A lot of Lambda players are playing Aigis. It's almost like I'm supposed to play Aigis.

If you do go through with that, I could give you a lesson ;3

Wow the JP Wiki is a really nice primer, I think I might work on translating chunks of it(or the parts that I'm actually able to read) and put it in the wiki.

Hey now OH, don't make Aigis the new Lambda of WC Canada. =(

I'm a Rachel player and I want to play Aigis. The main reason is that I really liked her character is P3.

That aside, anyone have frame data information on Aigis? Some guy I played was really impressed with my Aigis and he wants me to teach him how to play her.

Guys, who are some good Aigis players to watch?

Yume, Ishie, and HexaNoid Eight are really good. You can find a few of their matches in the video thread, but unfortunately a lot were lost when PK lost her account.

Too bad she plays nothing like Lambda. Of all the matches I've had, it's safe to say Aigis' most important combos are mode change ones, otherwise you'll waste orgia meter simply getting to the person. Getting used to it is really tough. Gonna have to grind through it for another day or two, only way I'll ever remember to use it.

Yea Nu/Lambda are really unique characters; Yukikos probably the closest to them and that's still a longshot.

Doesn't Kaqn also play Aigis? I don't know if he's any good though.

I'm actually thinking about playing Yukiko. Sorry guys lol. But really - who knows? I can't say anything for sure until I get the game and thoroughly check it out.

Agreed. After years of Nu/Lambda, this is taking some getting used to. I enjoy it though and look forward to learning the new style. I thought about Yukiko, but Aigis just has too much firepower stuffed in that little metal body for me to pass it up. And I'll have to focus more on this game anyway until they bring Nu back in BB (which shouldn't be long.)

Yukiko isn't really as... fluid as Lambda. I'm actually having a hard time trying to adjust, but it's not like I mained Lambda or anything XD

Yukiko's damage isn't as great as Lambda's was, but she does have something that Lambda doesn't, which is the deadzone in her projectiles and a DP. Though DPs half the time are asking to be punished. Though Yukiko does have that guessing game, probably a harder one since her persona can be broken quite easily if you don't do it right.

Aigis on the other hand, is more like a rushdown Lambda. The tools are there, even the quick overhead and damage potential, so they're not that far off. But returning to your zoning game won't really happen with Aigis, since her zoning tools are meant to stall instead of doing actual damage.

Congratulations to Xie for his play on LevelUp. There were moments where I think he could have done more, but he ended up winning anyway so I guess we can't complain too much. The Biter might have his number next time, Kanji can be scary.
