I'm in Pool 2, 10:00am to Noon

Miller's in Pool 5, 2:00pm to 4:00pm

LET'S GO LET'S GO LET'S GO

I'll be posting some content soon. Withholding juicy stuff until after the tournament.

Honestly, i've been really skimpy with new stuff recently. That's my fault and I acknowledge it, but shame no one else is talking about anything!

I would have gone to FR but I didn't know what my exams were going to be like, and I've been studying for the past month anyway so I'd have just done moonsault shenanigans and went 0-2(or get to top 8). I've been seriously considering heading out to UFGT9. It'll be after school has ended and I figure at the very least I have a chance at divekick and the mystery tournament. I'll be stream monstering for sure though.

Did a Yosuke win FR?

I didn't get out of pools cause legitimate reasons.

Tried some of the things Torowa does, notably these 3:

Feel free to test and call out some mistakes to my tests

236 a/b > OMC

Either:

> j.a

Or:

> land > microdash 2a 5b

This mixup can't be dp'd even with an IB, unless you're too far for a tackle, and opponent must respect it. So it'll be one of Yosuke's safe mixups to do.

5d > 5a/2a 2b > ~d > lowest glide > ja

Torowa's left/right mixup. I don't know how safe is this one. I've tried but I'm not sure how to make out of it. According to my tests, mashing dp will sometimes win, or at least ones which has an air unblockable/ has guard point on frame 1. I haven't tested it with just

/snip > ~d > lowest glide > hold crouch block

But I think it can be dp'd if you'll be opting for lows on either side.

Another way of disrespecting it is IB-ing your 5a/2a and DP so make sure to change your rhythms.

(Starter or from ch tackle) Moonsault A~dl.A > Moonsault A ~ A > dl.j2c > Land > forward jump > Airturn > j.b okizeme > hold crouch block

Be sure to j.b first before holding crouch block. You don't want a j.2b

This is safe and will whiff most stuff, or land and block incoming attacks after the dp (like Chie's) if they try to dp your j.b except:

Aegis awakening super - will hit Yosuke before he lands

Kanji DP - Guard point on frame 1

Chie Godhand - hold standing block instead

Teddie DP - Guard Point on frame 1

I forgot the others. A compilation of things that don't work with this setup would be nice

Way to get around this is by IBing your j.b and DP if they expect you to continue pressure after it. I'm not so sure if j.b(whiff) > 2a will counter that

Yup. This is what I was trying to get people to do effing forever ago with my big ass Dash Spring post.

Adding to this, since j.A is hard sometimes depending on what button company you prefer, do 6OMC6, j.BB. from the Dash Spring. This cannot be DP'd either and not only gives you more time to hit confirm, but also gives you a more damaging combo. The only benefit to j.A is, it's faster. This doesn't make too terrible much difference because you should be able to see which way your opponent is thinking of blocking when you do Dash Spring.

Dash Spring is actually a 5 way mixup with 50 meter, but does have a tell on which, uh, 'branch' you're going to do.

OMC off of the first hit and hold 6 on the ground and you'll continue running. You can wait for the blockstun to wear off and throw, immediately Tentarafoo with the OMC red circle as an almost camouflage, or 2A twice. OMC off of the second hit you can 2A, airdash with j.BB > land, or airdash j.BB, Moonsault~Crescent Slash. If you do it too early, you can get some funky things like a rising airdash over your opponent.

Tenta loses to any button.

Throw loses to DP/backdash.

Moonsault loses to anti-Moonsault course of action varying between characters.

j.BB and 2A are true blockstring and must be blocked and BEAT DP if they block wrong and try it.

The strength of this mixup is that your opponent doesn't know what's next unless they have a good eye. It's on par with Chie's OMC high/low from Rampage. For real. Learn this.

Just to make this publicly known. The mook site made some corrections. The only one for Yosuke is the following which I already corrected on the wiki:

Sweep (Sukukaja) is Active 3, Recovery 27. These were missing prior.

I never noticed those were missing. So is this a good thing?

It's nothing ground breaking. It just recovers 1 frame faster in Sukukaja.

This isn't particularly a yosuke question, but why hasn't japan invented HD streaming yet?

They have... there are some nice quality streams out there from Japan. The problem is just like NA, not everyone wants to invest in better equipment, and not everywhere has amazing Internet. Also have to understand that for arcades a lot of them don't allow record devices so if you see something from an arcade it's usually from the arcade owner. Shit costs money.

Now if you want to bring up the stuff that's uploaded to nico it's mostly the fault of nicos video restrictions and not the users themselves, which is why you see some arcades upload to YouTube instead like acho and kouhatsu.
