So just to clarify, the Guilty Gear side tournament is happening on Friday, and the Blazblue side tournament is happening on Saturday, right? And do either have confirmed times?

To nitpick, I have a question about KOF's rules. This is how they are written on the website:

King of Fighters XIII (PS3):

2/3 matches for the entire tournament

60 second timer

Winner keeps same team between matches, loser can change characters

Random stage selection unless both players agree on a stage

I understand keeping the same characters, but what about the team order?

If you haven't online registered for the HYPEST event in the FGC (FINAL ROUND 16) then you only have until 12 midnight PST or 3am EST to do so. I'm extending it for the west coast people i've received emails from that they could register when they got off work but it wouldn't be before 12 midnight est. go to http://www.finalround.org/register.cfm and

PLEASE READ THE TEXT IN RED BEFORE YOU TRY TO REGISTER!!!!!!!! IT HAS VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR YOU TO READ TO COMPLETE YOUR ONLINE REGISTRATION JUST IN CASE YOU GET A 405 ERROR WHILE REGISTERING.

You also have only 2 hours 17 minutes to book your hotel room under the FINAL ROUND group rate. If you wait you will be paying $150 per night instead of 113 per night. Goto http://www.finalround.org/location.cfm and get your room before the rate is done!

There's been a flood of players registering today and we appreciate everyone that is coming to FR16

Online registration for FR16 is now closed as of 9:00 AM EST on 3/16/2013. If you registered between 3/13/2013 and this morning, your name should show up in the system under "Player Schedule" by 11:59 pm on Sunday 3/17/2013. There was an overwhelming number of registrations - thanks to all of you that chose to register online! It will save us all time and trouble at the event this year!

Emergency onsite registration will be held at the venue on Thursday, 3/28/2013 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm and on Friday, 3/29/2013 from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon. These are the ONLY times that onsite registration will be available, and we will only take registrations for a game while there is enough availability in the brackets, so the best bet to ensure your entry into an event is to get registered at the door as early as possible!!!

Yea, Gear should be Friday, Blazblue is definitely Saturday. I'm shooting for BB to start at 4pm with registration starting at noon. It's largely going to depend on if there's space to set up, but I should have 3-4 setups there.

I wanted to make sure, if a friend that's coming with me is just going to spectate, is he able to register any time at the venue?

btw the Player Schedule feature is awesome.

It was saying on the website before the registration period ended that spectators badges would be available all the time during the event.

Also, why no airplanes coming out of brazil in the picture? D:

I just found out I can make it to this but, I don't see anything on the website on how much Emergency Registrations is going to cost. Could I get that price so I know what to expect when I come down there?

iirc, there was only a difference in venue fee. it was $30 if you prereg before Dec something, $40 before last week. Its $50 venue fee for emergency registration. So expect to pay $50 for venue and its an additional $10 per game.

AT THE DOOR EMERGENCY REGISTRATION WILL BE AVAILABLE ONLY ON:

Thursday, March 28, 2013 - 5:00 PM EST to 9:00 PM EST** (Note time change)

Friday, March 29, 2013 - 8:00 AM EST to 12:00 NOON EST

Badge pickup for those that pre-registered online will be available during the above times, as well as Saturday, March 30, 2013 from 8:00 AM EST to 10:00 AM EST. There will be NO REGISTRATION ON SATURDAY MORNING, only badge pickup.

Correct sir!

Hello everyone,

I have some very important news to tell you guys before FINAL ROUND 16 is upon you. Thanks to everyone that registered online. As of 11:30 pm EST, all registrations have now been processed in the FR registration system. PLEASE go to the "Player Schedule" link and confirm your information - if your name does not appear, or if there is a mistake, please email BobSmack at webmaster@finalround.org AS SOON AS POSSIBLE as pool creation will be starting this week.

With that being said I have to do something that i've never done before and I will have to issue caps on games to properly plan a schedule for this event. We are going to start the process of making pools this week, so by 3 days before the event we will have preliminary pools posted. Those that haven't registered online will have to register at the door on Thursday March 28 between 5pm-9pm or Friday March 29 between 8am-12noon.

After that there will not be anymore registrations taken at the door, so I advise everyone that didn't register online to try their best to get to the venue on thursday to make sure you have a chance to enter the hypest tournament in the MILKWAY!

The cap means that we think these games are either close to reaching these caps or they will equal those bracket levels once we close emergency door registration:

Ultimate MVC3: 512

Super SF4: AE v2012: 512

Tekken Tag 2: 512

Street Fighter x Tekken: 256

King of Fighters 13: 128

Persona 4 Arena: 128

Mortal Kombat 9: 128

Soul Calibur 5: 128

Dead or Alive 5: 128

Melty Blood AA: 64

Also any player that DID NOT REGISTER ONLINE WILL NOT BE SEEDED IN ANY MANNER! These are the rules!

Sorry my friend. If I put an airplane from everywhere someone was traveling to FR16 I would have a picture full of airplanes with no map. hahahaha

Awesome, thanks for clarifying. I haven't played BB in a really long time, so I'm sure I'll get destroyed, but I'll be super hype to play it again. :D

So I received a message from CafeID that they are sending Kensouzzang, Poongko, and Knee to compete at #FR16! The GLOBAL SATURATION CONTINUES as FR16 just continues to get hyper every day that passes by! With 7 days and 18 hours left until the tournament starts who knows what will happen next. I advise anyone that can attend FR16 to attend because this is shaping up to be the most intense FR to date!

ShinBlanka, I sent you a PM of important matters, please get back to be asap.

Is someone going to post up here when signups for GG/BB start on Friday? I'm playing kof so I don't want to miss signups

Posted

The guys running Gear haven't said anything, but I'm running BB and I'll have signups from noon to about 3:30pm on Saturday with the tournament starting at 4pm.

Are we even sure people are running Gear at this point? The lack of info regarding that tournament is a little unsettling.

Jeffery Tessar (Heidern98) is supposed to be running Guilty Gear. I do no think he frequents DustLoop anymore, buy has ran most every past Final Round Gear event. It's my understanding that it will be Friday evening, and that he will be there running it.

Hello guys!

Even though we don't have an official tournament, there will be Skullgirls casuals in the vicinity! If we manage to get enough people, we can also run a side tournament.

This will all happen in one of the rooms, so in order to find out where it will be, go talk to DaRabidDuckie, the stick modder on site. He will know where the room is hopefully.

We will have a lagless setup for PS3, and we are also planning to do a little side stream for the SG fans who can't make it. Nothing special will be going on in it though other than casuals and said tournament, so you should probably still watch the FR stream and catch our archive lol

The casuals/possible tourney will happen on Saturday ONLY.
