Fluck Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 It loses to cross-ups, is slow and thus easily safe jumped and is heavily punishable by jump/super cancels even if you make the right read and the opponent attacks you. It's hands-down second-worst DP in the game, only Labrys' is worse and that's cause her DP is slower than Jin's Rehhyou (can't believe the day has come where I can say this).
Mr.Biscuits Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 Seems like people only play their circle of friends in private rooms. :/
kazukifafner Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 salt got me today scrub yosuke with the no tech and the no defense Finally beat him like 3 straight once I figured out his flowchart. Sorry for kicking you kazukifafner... I just needed to figure him out :< No biggie, I know the feeling. I was getting frustrated too. Chasing down a Yosuke is annoying enough, add to that the fact that we probably only have a 1-bar (maybe 2-bar) connection if the input delay is to be believed, and I was about ready to throw my controller at the tv, lol.
gli Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 Yeah it's just impossible to deal with that for a long period of time.
xntrikcat Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 Which Yosuke was this, because every Yosuke player seems to fit that description :V
gli Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 FALCON2100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001 numbers or something
xntrikcat Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 Oh, yeah, he never gets up and tries to BS your oki. He'll R-action and then bait your R-action by empty jumping. 2aa then AoA or the unblockable confuse move is his only mixup. Took me a while to figure out, too =/
kazukifafner Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 He stopped using BD against me after it cost him 6.2k (or, it would have, had he not died before it finished `3`). Also, I need to fight Aki-. Need Akihiko experience bad. People keep telling me there are a lot of Aki's out there, but I have no clue where they are, lol
susano Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 GGs to Koopa and DigitalOps today. Are there some people still trying to get used to this game?
toanenadiz Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 You're just the only one who really talks about it.
kazukifafner Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 Honestly, I get most of my ranked wins from my dog sitting on the controller.
susano Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 You're just the only one who really talks about it. Toan, blunt and straight to the point as always. I'm not complaining, as you can see. Honestly, I get most of my ranked wins from my dog sitting on the controller. Lol. I still feel like a turtle in this game.
Ownagepuffs Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 GGs to Koopa and DigitalOps today. Are there some people still trying to get used to this game? For the most part, no. Everyone more or less knows what they are doing. Granted, some do more thanothers. DigitalOps is a pretty good Aigis. Unfortunately for him I know that Black Spot blows up Orgia Mode dash pretty bad. :P

Not enough Naotos with thinking skills like you. I know you miss me :D Yeah I played Falcon too. He wasn't bad, just predicatable.
Ownagepuffs Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 I more or less know what I'm doing but learning matchups is a headache. I'm confident I can learn though. It's good to have extensive knowledge of what every character is capable of, even if you don't play them. Sounds like a chore but it really helps in the long run. I hope I'm not getting off topic. Please forgive me Based Moderators!
gli Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 Match-ups are simpler in this game for me. Sometimes you just guessed wrong which is really easy to do in a fast game like this.
xntrikcat Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 I think learning matchups comes with time. It's a matter of compiling a bunch of do's and don't's, and accumulating good habits as opposed to bad ones. I like to learn in the most painful way possible though, which is to just play a ton of matches and lose due to my disappointing and awful habits. One day I will wake up and play like a god, but till then I'm a mere mortal getting fatal'd by Mitsuru 5b all day

Don't play against Chie often, so should get some more games in sometime.

Woo, I'm trying to zone with her now haha. Well it's not that bad, just can't really get used to being aggressive enough yet, and there's gaps in my pressure which is something you don't want as Mitsuru. got a room up if anyone's interested: title = fun. toanenadiz Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 GGs Siefer and the other people I played today. Labrys's overhead gets me too much free netplay damage.
