It's definitely good news to see that she can get good damage finally. However meter management is gonna become really important if our strong combos end up costing 75 heat every time, PLUS the fact that her meter gain is now terrible... compared to EX at least. Because let's be honest, EX Rachel always has meter for BBL lol.

yes, but at the same time, BBL was absolutely mandatory for her basic BnB combos. Now it's just a combo ender.

I always thought BBL was an extremely disappointing DD. Basically just Storm Iris +1.

I'm eager to see what people will eventually find out to do with her weird turn-rods-into-bats move.

Is this because of CT, how does this work?
either 5c - 3c or 5c - ct, both are strong combo starters

l've heard that they are, but not from official websites. if they aren't then that'll suck... they are not overheads. my mistake. well this certainly throws a wrench in things

Yes, those combo into iris on crouching. 5C combos into iris on standing. It's true in CSEX and in CP.

has anyone seen any combos off midscreen j.a overhead? everyone just keeps doing 2d j.a j.b 5b 5cc summon, and it's grating my nerves. surely that can't be all she can do from it now?

at the very least, ...5b 3c 8d (dash 5b 6a 236a) dash 5b air combo should still work.

there's also the gripe of drastic reduction of lotus use. this one is sort of understandable, but wouldn't the horizontal lotus be very useful to have out for corner carry and wind tech? and it stays out for quite awhile. i'm wondering who's running the experiments over there in jp for rachel.

It might have to do with the short time allowed on A starter combo. But even then you could use j.B as IOH and it would work. Maybe something about wind recovery? As for lotus I'm pretty sure it's useful, don't know why they aren't using it. It might be that having a pole out for iris is more useful than activating lotus which seems riskier in a lot of situations. But then again sesu had a nice way to set up lotus mid-combo. So many possibilities with this character, honestly so far I feel the players haven't explored her fully, although N-O is still god.

I feel like I've seen longer combos from j.A IOH, but they didn't end with very strong oki, so perhaps players are just opting for that instead?

I'd need to look through the older videos to make sure, though. :/

I'm more than sure that, despite the a normal starters nerf, j.a should go into my suggested combo above. It's essentially the corner combo, substituting 5cc for 3c.

Air combo ender has been buffed significantly by sending the foe flying. It's a lot more viable as an ender than ever before. It also sets up lotus rather nicely, and allows time for two summons, just like 5cc ender.

FYI second use of crush trugger does 800 instead of 1000. I can't remember if there are any other probs with using it multiple times.
