[CP] Rachel Alucard Gameplay Discussion

Watching matches on nico, if you wind tech in the corner while lotus is active on the opponent, Rachel flies all the way to the center of the stage. So yeah free way out, might be a way to counter it.

Also,

2B > 5B > 5CD > 3C > 236A 8D > dash 5A > 5B > j.B > j.C > dj.C > Iris (BBL possible)

2437 (pumking was out and hit on both Ds, so I'm guessing 2.6k without) on Hakumen. This is pretty much a variation to CS2/E 3C 236B, except it uses one wind and appears to hit slightly more (although BBL is nerfed).

lv2 j.2C > 236B > j.C > j.C > Iris possible on Hazama.

Just saying... in many of these vids, I'm so disappointed when the Rachels are cornering someone and they have like 2-3 poles set and instead of comboing into BBL they just 3C and summon pumpkin, at which point the op bursts or techs or something. Such a boner kill >O>

with the bbl nerf it probably isn't worth the damage (without 3 poles and/or OD) or meter unless it's for the kill.

when rachel can combo from bbl once more you will see a spike in better play.

also, has any frame data been found for cp rachel? it'd be interesting to see the properties and proration values on her old and new attacks.

Since it's so easy to set up 3 poles I'd personally go for it. 3.8k off 2B is worth it I think.

New Rachel user here, decided to pick up a new char to keep things fresh while waiting for CP..

Quick Q's, how good is she lookin in CP? Is she better or worse than she is in Extend?

Im reading the CSE gameplay guide thread but im still feeling kinda lost, is there some sort of Rachel beginner guide? If so i'd like a link or something so I wont bother u guys anymore ^^;

In a vacuum she got worse, but everybody else got worse too so it seems to cancel itself out(except hakumen, wtf). The game also got faster, so that helps her mixup being even harder to see.

Hey man, welcome to the Rachel boards. The CSE gameplay guide is very complete so I don't think you'll find anything better than that. Also check out the combo thread and get some bnb's down... it'll help you get accustomed to how her wind works combined with different moves.

had chance to join rachel players skype conference(it was >9 hours lol, but i was afk sometimes and skipped first ~2 hours), though my japanese skills have to be improved and i barely participated in it:<

short summary: still trying to find how to combo 6B CH, agito is fucking bullshit, azraoh framedata, some combos and tomorrow comiket lol

there have been instances where the rachel player did try to combo after bbl and the foe teching after a few hits. it kind of sucks because bbl, like frog combos have been in since day 1 (of ct, of course). and it's weird to see rach without a comboable bbl now.

i'm totally not complaining btw, the new hime looks more fun because all her changes. it gets a little boring doing the same combo/variation for 4 years.

It was pretty scary in CSX, 100 heat basically meant auto guard break for U. Rachel if she had 2 wind, Adonis > TD > GGs.

Though if she got it in CP it'd obviously be different since there aren't primers to break and guard crush normal Rachel doesn't do 7k+... right...?

Most damaging combo a Rachel player has landed in CP is 7.2k by Momoiro. 100% sure it uses OD and a lot of meter/wind but we haven't seen anything close to that yet
