I only have one question regarding Bang changes.

If FRKZ is now his overdrive, does this mean Bang no longer has his theme song when he overdrives? Is there another way of getting it? Because I'm not hearing it in any of these new videos. And that is a crime against humanity.

I don't play Bang, but I am heavily offended everytime he OD's and I don't get !!!!!BANG BANG BANG BANG!!!!!

Hahahahaha Jin slapped him down for trying it.

Also, in one of the other videos, a Valkenhayn player appears to have 5B'd Bang on reaction to the command grab super on the ground which makes me believe that it is atleast +9 after superflash :(

In another video a Rachel player just 2A'd him out of the ground version, and in another attempt just straight up threw him, so that sounds about right.

I want to see an attack that's not a DP or an OD activation hit Bang when he tries to catch an airborne foe.

this is clearly just speculation but i'm sure if someone's jA is good enough they could just spam it and maybe hit bang...

Don't forget, he teleports behind the opponent. So if the opponent has a weird jA hitbox that actually hits from behind (and also can be empty gatling to itself like Bang's jA), then it gets beaten.

Also, pretty interesting to see the air overdrive activation having some invincibility frames.

On a side note, would Bang's j4B beat it if you predict and time it?

I'm pretty sure I've seen Azrael's j.B hit him out of it, of course it partially hits behind him so it makes sense.

Was it executed on reaction, or was the move already active before flash?

I'm pretty sure it was already active. You could interpret it as the move probably has no invincibility after the superflash, but due to the nature of it going behind opponents it would be hard to hit him out of it unless you have a move with that kind of hitbox. Unless it is possible to hit him out of it on reaction after superflash if you weren't already pressing a button, much like the ground version, even without a move that hits behind you.

I don't know how likely that is though for the opponent to autocorrect which direction they are facing + press j.A for example before he catches you. On the ground the opponent changes directions pretty quick but I don't know how it would work in mid-air. Sounds like something that would come down to frame data, and we'd have to see a clear example of it happening.

Because I really really think that air catch is waaay faster than ground catch. Mu's animation barely progresses after flash. So it's not frame 1, but I'm thinking along the lines of like frame 3 or so. Enough time for a DP or OD activation, but not mashing.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if it's DP only or already-active. It'd be a fucking worthless move if it wasn't lol.

IIRC the range of throws in the entire game has been nerfed.

But you can literally see the animation as if it got "blocked", which doesn't make any sense at all. At first I thought it whiffed because she was still in the air as she was landing, but actually seeing that block animation made it pretty strange. Not to mention the fact that he was REALLY close to her, so it whiffing is a real wtf moment to me at least. I would've been angry if it happened to me.

I can't disagree. But keep in mind that the majority of that normal's startup is the hang time before the attack comes out, so that period of the animation spans at least 10f.

that reminds me of that ragna vs azrael(iirc) footage kayeff linked where there was some weird jump startup autoguard shit going on

maybe the two are related?
