Hecatom Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 It's only some projectiles. Rensen now raises guard bar, but Stun Edge doesn't, for example. :/ Hopefully Venom's balls wouldnt rise the guard bar

Reflex Roar hitting full screen is news to me too, but I'm more accepting of that. What is this world coming to? Personally, the only thing I see as being unbalanced about Kliff is that 2H pickup. Didn't Arcsys learn their lesson from Forward EXE beast and Slidehead in AC? Leave that shit for EX characters, this isn't MAHVEL BAYBEE. I sincerely hope they patch that before this comes out on console...

Yup, they nerfed little ed in Slash to not build guard, along with other things, which is why he wasn't as good then. In reload it was little ed pressure -> jack up guard gauge -> 60% health along with other shenanigans. Seems like the 'weiss' summon will be for more offensive purposes/ rushdown, whereas normal summon will be for more defensive and meter gaining. Reasons i say this is because in 'weiss' summon buzzsaw brings you to corner, builds guard, harder to see mixups, does a good amount of damage using his reload style combos, and can probably end with a unblockable lil ed drill. Normal summon from what i've seen and heard got shadow gallery combos nerfed, unblockable puddle nerfed to combo instead. Additionally, since 6p got nerfed, the combos using normal summon won't be useful for dizzy anymore. On the brightside, comboing into the puddle will gain lil ed meter while it's in puddle and the preferred combo in puddle is to use drunkard shade now. If 'weiss' summon is like reload, which is what i've been seeing, we should be seeing a lot more damage from eddie in the future. Sorry for my little spiel on eddie. I like it. 6HS: Slowed a bit, but gained jump cancel and special cancel. Also, groundbounce? cool. High BBU launch->6HS->sj.H->j.D->j.2K->j.K->5H->reset, pile. COOL WITH ME! 5K: Special cancel. Cool. Corner 5K FB pile loop should be possible, not too much damage but at least it is an option. 6K->5K->6P FRC->K mappa->5K->K mappa->5K->j.S->j.K->5H->pile should be fine for a midscreen 6K combo that takes them to the corner. Bite: More healing, more damage. FRC needed to combo but I'm ok with that. j.H: Kinda nerfed.. but oh well. 2S: Much needed nerf. Still a great move, though. He still has 6P and 5P for great anti airs. Dandy H and FB dandy: COOL! More movement options, which is what he lacked. 5H groundslide: just another way to get them in the corner. Opens up much more interesting combo potential. Overall impression: Changed from a high-abare to a medium abare character and added a lot to his footsie game. Testament can still move in and go for a low attack, creating an unblockable situation.

axel Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 It seems like Potemkin is in rough shape with the loss of Slide Head and the change in FRC timing of Hammerfall. Even FAB can't get much going against Nage's Faust whenever he gets an opening.
