Welcome to the second entry of the PSN Persona 4 Arena ranbat series! All rules and information about it are found below.

If you also play on XBL, check out iora's ranbats.

This will be open to all CST/EST and PST/MST players, I will organize the CST/EST half, while the organizer of the PST/MST half of it has yet to be determined.

Information:

- Date: November 11, 2012

- Time: 8:30 PM EST/7:30 PM CST (6:30 PM MST/5:30 PM PST)

- Player Limit: 32 (16 for each)

- Character Lock: Yes, but you can change your character between tournaments.

- Format: Singles, Double Elimination, 2 of 3 Matches, 2 of 3 rounds up until grand finals, which will be 3 of 5 matches, 2 of 3 rounds.

Point Structure:

NOTE: We will use the Gamechariot ranking system as the base for these ranbats.

1st - 10 points

2nd - 7 points

3rd - 5 points

4th - 2 points

Participation - 1 point

Rules:

1). Please do not skip the intro, this will contribute greatly to lag.

2). Character switching in between matches will not be tolerated.

3). Instant Kills and EX moves are allowed.

4). Dropping out midway through this tournament will not be tolerated at all. This will result in you being banned from the next ranbat.

5). Check in starts at 8:00 PM EST/7:00 PM CST and ends at the time the tournament starts. If you don't check in before then, you will be disqualified from this ranbat.

6). If you are eliminated, you can watch the later matches of the tournament that are being streamed.

Communication:

1). Mics are not allowed.

2). I will provide a PSN Chat Room for the tournament, but be sure to leave when you are having your match.

3). Please do not talk too much on PSN chat, only results and hosting can be discussed.

Disconnection policy:

- Due to how wonky PSN can be at times, disconnections will result in an honorary rematch.

- If the disconnected player does not sign in again within a 10 minute time limit, they will be disqualified from the current ranbat.

- If one of the players continue to disconnect, they will be disqualified until the next ranbat unless they fix their connection issues.

- Do not complain to me about the lag, but you can report connection issues.

Tips on Avoiding Lag:

- Do not skip the intro.

- Do not use a mic.

- Leave the Text Chat BEFORE starting your match, leaving the Text Chat during the match (Character Select, Vs. Screen or during the intro) will mess up the synchronization and cause lag.

- Do not stream videos during the match (YouTube, Twitch.tv, etc.)

- Do not send messages (or go to the XMB) during the match (Character Select, Vs. Screen or during the intro) this will also mess up the synchronization.

Hey Mike, just a quick notice my PSN on the main thread is wrong. You have "Antiquarian" which is my DL username but my PSN is actually "Antlquarian" (first i is an L). Sorry about that. :sweatdrop:

My gaming headphones have a mic attached that always show the icon in the lobby, however it can be muted by the press of a button. Of course it will e muted during the tourney. This won't be a problem will it?

Of course it won't be a problem. :)

As long as your mic is muted, that'll be fine. I just want there to be no lag spikes or anything during matches.

Sorry, I completely forgot that I had other engagements (going to watch Skyfall, durrrrr) today, so assume that I won't be able to attend.

A few things: I've never used the PSN chat before so I'm not really sure how that works and is there anyone we're supposed to add to our friends list or something before this starts?

Yes, you have to be in a participant's friends list to be invited to the chatroom.
