After watching these last vids I think I see new combo potential and yes Overheat for the time being 22A may be safer than feint for the time being. Anyways this is what I'm thinking.

Requires full meter:

dia mode 5DD>RC>5DD>RC>5DD>236D

Relius backdashes and gets caught in 236D:

I'm not exactly sure why he was trying to do this combo. Goro was trying to incorporate X > 4B > Dashing 2DD > 623C into some of his combo's as well.

The untech time on 6A may have increased, and/or the start-up of 5C may have gotten faster.

Four (Ragna) vs Naga

X > Parser Forward (cross-through) > 2B/3C is used pretty often. I wonder how well a 4B would work in that situation, or a 2B > 4B, etc.

Tenkawa (Noel) vs Naga

(near corner) (Dia) Throw > Dashing 2DD > 22A > 6A > 6C > 236C (he dropped the 5C follow-up)

Naga was getting pressured by the Noel, so he activated Overdrive and did 632146D. Maybe if the Noel was closer, it could have been punished by using Fenrir... But since it was blocked, it was safe.

Naga vs Kikuchi Megane (Carl)

2C seems to still work well in shutting down a lot of Carl's approaches.

I'm liking how Tsukasa is using gravity wells. Great zoning. At 1:23.30 was pretty cool first I've seen of that. How is her unlimited mode triggered?

That's actually Protos/Purotosu/Gentarou. Gold Bursts have been replaced with OD (Overdrive), which is a unique temporary power-up for all characters.

Minato got kind of impatient in the first round. Having the whole screen to run back on makes a huge difference.

Overall, I think Minato plays fairly well, but too aggressively. He likes Luna mode in neutral more than other Nu players. For the most part, his opponents are letting him getting away with his riskier playstyle.

Minato is pretty good I like how he's not afraid to use Luna which I personally think is completely untapped atm. He uses 22A a lot which seems to throw opponents off, possibly better than tks atm (maybe). OH I agree it's killing me seeing these players not use DDs for guaranteed KOs. This is like the 4th vid I've seen where they screw that up.

That combo at 20:53 vs. Hage's Tager was hella stylish. And it doesn't even look that hard to do.

I feel like with the new mode changes, we're really starting to see a difference in playstyles between top-level players. Love Minato's 22A > 214C > 22A from Luna.

Really wish I knew what the intent of giving Nu 623C was.

On another note, I like Jieru's Arakune for some reason, though he keeps getting blown up.

If you want to talk about the things you see in the videos here that's fine, but can you take all the unrelated stuff elsewhere please? I feel like there's a more appropriate place to talk about Arakune than the Nu video thread.

IMO, Gentarou/Purotosu/Protos was clearly the best Lambda in Extend, and it seems he's the best for Nu as well. Yeah, he won the tournament.

Interestingly, he's (by far) the top ranked Nu at the moment.

That air grab in the 3rd round of Protos vs. Uma no Hone was AMAZING. Would have liked to see S-Sama use Luna Mode more against Kaqn Hazama, especially considering that he rarely uses TK cancels.
