shtkn Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 that problem (and solution) exists in extend: delay the 623C to combo on certain characters. iirc in extend you need to delay on: tager, valk, makoto, relius, rachel (sometimes). i imagine you'll have to do the same in cp.

Yes I know, it's just... awkward and adds to useless character specific bullshit. DP loops already required different timings for DP B on many characters anyway.

Ronitta <3 3C > Sekka, IAD j.2C seem like it will catch forward rolls at least and it launches the opponent all the way across the screen. Corner Sekka, j.2C catches rolls as confirmed on that Ronitta vs Az match. I'm guessing that the reason why people don't use DP C in combos as much is because of the time restricted combo system. Then again, if 5B > 5C > 22C~D, 66 5C > 2C > DP C > 66 5B(1) > 5C > Air Combo works then it should work pretty much everywhere else as long as you don't start the combo with a crappy starter such as 5A/2A. I for one will be going for DP C and Sekka ender awl dei, errdei.

Putin Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 (edited) Hizansen looks pretty bad imo even in the corner, unless the opponent is super respectful and lets you IAD on them for free. Its only strong point from my point of view is the extra damage. Musou (no followup) is probably as strong as EX Musou A, but SMP won't let you use it twice, effectively removing it as a filler from your corner combos. Sekka on the other hand, looks just as strong minus the crossunders, and works just fine as an ender if you use it twice in the same combo. It's nice that we have options, especially if you add Rehhyou ender despite people rarely using it. Mixing up combos both for fun and for different oki is gonna be awesome And I just realized that you were talking about midscreen lol. I'm probably using both Musou (no followup probably) and Sekka there, mixing them up again to have people guessing. Hizansen only when I don't want/need to deal with them at close range, or for the kill. It also seems like I'll be the only one using Sekka followup strictly for corner side swaps, need that meter for easy confirm > Tousshougeki > 4k and HIZANGEKI Edited June 4, 2013 by Putin

Example: If I do a combo which does 2.9K, then I'll go for Musou follow-up to get that 3.1K. It's stupid but it just feels more complete to me lmao.

Hizangeki will be a situational thing to use as you can only get its full damage in the corner or mid-screen-ish with 50 Heat (Hizangeki > 214D~C wallstick). I'll really only be doing the 214D~C follow-ups if I'm somewhat close to the corner for the wallstick or if it's off a 5D FC. That little 66 5B > 5C > 2C > 3C > Musou/Sekka extender doesn't really seem worth it to me unless it's for the kill.
