Haven Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 My experience at TRB last night has convinced me that Jin has a much better spacing game this iteration. Complemented by his ability to easily confirm farther/higher hits and his better midscreen damage, he's just all around really good this iteration. I feel like I did in CSII now, damn. I'm having a ball with this game so far. I can finally stop people from blatantly pressing buttons. This Jin is incredibly fun, especially in comparison to EX haha. I am having a blast, I haven't even used another character yet, too busy maxing out damage in every hit. Jin can be played fairly aggressively, he still has a balanced jack of all trades style similar to how he always is, I just feel like he deals a lot more damage and with OD can put fear into opponents a lot easier. I really enjoy 3.3-3.7K off of B attacks haha. He still has his gimmicks (and I feel like they are harder to mash out of actually, I dunno if that's just me lol), and other things, so consistent offensive play is possible at certain points, depending on momentum and your reads. Overall, I love it so far.

drzero7 Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 BTW, new to BBCP Jin. Does 632146D (The arrow super) still does crap damage in combos like Extend? I remember in BBCSE, you either end your combo with Ice Fang or just don't use it at all except for his RC, EX moves in general.
Jourdal Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 (edited) Wow we got haven to post holy shit. I played a lot of games VS Omni's Kagura, and an Azrael. I'm not familiar with either character so i can't say much. I'm still making ex mistakes lol...like dashcanceling 6C...seeing it not come out..and then getting hella sad. If i confirm OD from a situation im not used to (air to air jC>JD>OD for example) i get nervous and fuck up but I just got my copy today so that should work it self out eventually. I love the new sekkajin, i don't miss the old one at all. I think I'm a bit too liberal with my meter but i always had the 25 or 50 when i needed it :V. I miss ice swords though lol Getsumei damage is good again, just can't do anything after it anymore. Edited October 26, 2013 by Jourdal
TsukasaxGemini Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 I just love everything about CP Jin, it's like we're being rewarded for what we had to endure in CSE.
drzero7 Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 Yeah, definately feel the buffs I've been seeing in vids when I'm playtesting this char.
Daedron Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 Yeah, cause Jin had it sooooo bad in EX and all.
BlackYakuzu94 Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 Not spamming with Sekkajin was so weird, I was like "Oh yea, that doesn't work anymore"
Moy_X7 Posted October 26, 2013 Author Posted October 26, 2013 I for one am glad they took that stupid mash crap out and reduced Sekkajin to 3 rapid blows. Old Sekkajin was tedious as hell after 4 games.

Moy_X7 Posted October 26, 2013 Author Posted October 26, 2013 Nope, Sekkajin doesn't launch anymore unless you use the follow-up. The follow-up uses up your freeze so 2D will not freeze.
Yuushiro Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 still wondering what is the universal combo route we can do in the corner? seems it's a combination of 6C> ice car (1) .... and then I do bla bla 6D > 6C > sekkajin , ending with air combo hizansen. Still trying to find out what's the most consistent one across all characters with the most damaging. probably depends on what we hit them first with the P1 of the move too.
Putin Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 The universal route for Hizansen ender seems to be 3C > Musou > 5B (1/2) > 5C > 6C > 6D > 6C > 22C > 5B (2) > 5C > aerial, that's when you can't go into 5B (1) > 5C > 2C > aerial. 5B (1) > 5C > j.C seems to work only on the larger guys, which threw me off because I did the first big chunk of training during challenge mode (dunno why), so I thought whatever worked on Az would work on anyone, which was not the case.
TITANIUM BEAST!!! Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 Not so much competition related, but I'm trying to clear Jin's 28th challenge and it just seems nigh impossible. I cannot for the life of me get a 5B to hit after Rehhyou, regardless of how high I hit them or how quickly I buffer a dash. I've tried over 100 times and maybe have gotten it to hit twice. Is there some trick to this combo? Please help.
Jourdal Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 (edited) That one was harder for me too lol. If you want to cheat, if you're in the corner and do the sekkajin you wont have to dash 5B. Also o:, i like this route. He's even kind enough to show who it doesnt work on and what you have to adjust. http://youtu.be/TtSPmFfZzAE Edited October 27, 2013 by Jourdal
TITANIUM BEAST!!! Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 I found another way to cheat it by doing it in the corner and using 6C after 2C, then using OD and THEN doing Rehhyou. Normally the extra hit would make the combo drop, but if you're fast enough, you will freeze the opponent with 5C after juggling with 5B from Rehhyou, making the rest of the combo work. Does more damage too.
EPIC_POTATOCHIP Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 That one was harder for me too lol. If you want to cheat, if you're in the corner and do the sekkajin you wont have to dash 5B. Also o:, i like this route. He's even kind enoug http://youtu.be/TtSPmFfZzAE Ohhh. Okay. No wonder I was always droping that combo. I would always mess up on the sekkajin part. lol
darkasjinksu§ Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 (edited) I've found a Sekkajin ender combo that does it bit more damage than the DP counterpart. (Normal starter)-5C-3C-214B(1)-5B(1)-5C-6C-6D-6C-6D-5B(1)-5C-22C-2B-22C. Looks like a new route was discovered right when I posted this, stylish as hell too, and extremely combo relevant. (Normal starter)-5C-3C-214B-(66)5B-5C-TKj214C-2B-5C-6C-6D-6C-22C-2B-22C It's pretty execution heavy, especially for pad, but if you can do it, it's near Hizansen ender level damage. You may want to opt for the double 6D combo if it's too difficult, though. You may also omit the microdash before the 5B and microdash after Hizansen, but the timing is a bit more strict. Here's another fun one: (-)6C-(214B or A+B)-665C-2C-(delayed)-TKj214C-662B-5C-6C-6D-6C-22C-2B-22C for 4.5K or 5.1K, juicy. So when is the combo thread going to open? eQualz Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 Woah Jin is so much fun, depsite him being easy mode now. Got the hang of him in like a couple of hours, lol. I really love how utilizing CT and Hizangeki boosts his damage to the sky from any starter. So what's the max damge you guys got so far? Was only able to to break 8.3k and I'm running out of ideas.
koun Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 When fighting Valk (Mid-screen)5B 5C 3C OD 5C 6C 2D will not connect due to his hitbox. Is it just me or his hitbox?
shtkn Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 side swap combo off CH 623C for 2.4k 623C, 5B (1) > 5C > 2C > 2D, run under 5B > 5C > 3C > 214B~C need to time the 5B(1) so that it hits the opponent when they are about at half of jin's height also, not sure if this is optimal or not, but 6C CH about half screen away + 25 meter leads to 4.4k: 6C CH > 214D(whiff)~C, 66C > 214B, 5C > 6C > 6D, 6C > 22C, 22C pretty easy to confirm off air CH
Ice Cube Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 When fighting Valk (Mid-screen)5B 5C 3C OD 5C 6C 2D will not connect due to his hitbox. Is it just me or his hitbox? Try dashing before 5C or delay your 6C. Necessary against most character. And yeah works on Valk too.
