Putin Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 side swap combo off CH 623C for 2.4k 623C, 5B (1) > 5C > 2C > 2D, run under 5B > 5C > 3C > 214B~C need to time the 5B(1) so that it hits the opponent when they are about at half of jin's height I'm pretty sure the japs did something like CH DP C > (66?) 5B > 5C > delay 6C (side swaps) > 2D > stuff Tried it only a couple of times but didn't get the sideswap, I'll head to the lab and check both combos out. Also 22C~D Rehhyou route seems impossible

Helel Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 Hello everyone. Been viewing the forum for years but decided to make an account finally. Anyway, I was just wondering, but does anyone have any tips on the side swap after Sekka D and the jA>jC>jD midscreen freeze? I can't really get them consistently. Don't know how off my timing is.
Jourdal Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 If you mean in corner sekka>D>6C, don't wait too long. I thought there would be massive delay but you pretty much do it almost as early as possible and 6C>214B will connect. JA>jC>jD is a bit weird, i just do it, so i don't have an tips to get it consistently. More Jin Stuff Shaky Cam CH 5B OD Combo by me ;; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=quKnav4f91A An Overdrive Heavy CMV...but he does some cool non OD shit before hand http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vY0x209cem4 Overdrive CMV dedicated To Resets http://youtu.be/41MXGvmaFnc The Amount of Jin stuff coming out is giving me CT flashbacks. He had sooo many CMVs back then.

Moy_X7 Posted October 29, 2013 Author Posted October 29, 2013 I finally took a break from Plat and the first thing I tried was this: 5B > 5C > 2C > 6C > 2D, j.2C > (Delayed) j.C > JC > j.2C > (Delayed) j.C > 66 5B > 2B > 5C > 3C > 214B~C and I did it on my first try against Rags. I don't get why this combo is so difficult, at least compared to some of Plat's new shit lol. Gonna mess around with more characters but this should be the standard combo against crouching opponents off an N Starter, might need to get rid of the 2C with other starters such as jump-ins. Anyways, I'm gonna go ahead and open the combo thread so go ahead and dump all of your best combos in there.
cadacus_ater Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 Finally got my copy. Really liking Jin...except 6C > 22C is kinda getting on my nerves for that 5B > 5C > 3C > 214B > 5B > 5C > j.214C > 2B > blah corner combo...maybe it's just Valk, lol. Learned pretty quick that j.214C > 2B is pretty tight so you don't have time to dash 2B...spacing is really important to get down before reaching that. Was really hoping it would be easier to reach 5k with 6C starter in the corner w/o burning meter but so far my efforts have proved fruitless. Hitstun decay is not my friend
Moy_X7 Posted October 29, 2013 Author Posted October 29, 2013 (edited) I just tried that 5B > 5C > 22C ~ D, 66 5C > 2C > DP C, 66 5B > 5C > Air Combo and I got it once out of like 100 tries lol. That shit is too hard, the timing on the initial 66 5C and then again on the 66 5B has to be flawless. Edit: Just watched that TK j.214C corner combo and I don't think anyone's going to be able to top that one off, specially since you can end it with Sekkajin for the reset. Gonna end that combo like this... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hsOyNdFPKzc&feature=youtu.be Alright, time to start working on the combo tutorial. Don't know why I didn't try Jin first instead of Plat lol. Edited October 29, 2013 by Moy_X7
cadacus_ater Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 (edited) Anyone come up with a better midscreen to corner FC 5D > 214D combo than this with sekka ender? [FC] 5D > 214D > 66 5C > j.2C > j.C > 66 5C > j.2C > j.C > 5C > 6C > 214B > 5B(2) > 5C > 22C > 5C > 22C (3970/15, Net heat is -10) Edit: Actually, I'm getting two different heat gain values, 15 and 16...probably from the speed at which I complete the 5C > j.2C > j.C loop. 22C seems really picky with the 22 input, controls feel tighter/stricter in general to me than EX.... Also, from what I can tell, it seems that 214D(whiff)~C combos need to start from around a player's start position, traveling to nearest corner...might be able to reach farther, but I'm inclined to say that would be impossible. Don't mash the C followup when doing whiff combo...you'll mess up more often than not. Learn to time it for best results. Midscreen to corner (around P2 start position to nearest corner ideally) CH 5B combo, needs 25 heat (Must execute as fast as possible or you'll run out of time on final sekkajin. Omit ending 5B > 22C for more solid oki, netting around 3.7k.) CH 5B(1) > 6C > 214D(whiff)~C > 66 6C > 214B > 5C > 6C > 6D > 6C > 22C > 5B > 22C (4050/19, net heat is -6) Edited October 29, 2013 by cadacus_ater More combos

The C hit comes out asap so the opponent would fly the furthest.

PozerWolf Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 Any translation notes on this video yet? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TtSPmFfZzAE Wondering why it doesn't work on Mu.
Moy_X7 Posted October 29, 2013 Author Posted October 29, 2013 Because her hurt-box is shitty like that lol Basically, all people need to know is that they have to do the micro-dash 2B to OTG after TK Hizansen so that they don't have to worry about who it works against. I'm just not gonna bother to do it against Mu, it's more of a hassle than it's worth.
shtkn Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 you also need to delay 5B against some characters
PozerWolf Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 (edited) I see. And what's the optimal ground fatal combo found mid-screen and corner so far? I ran into a combo video where the player did at least 5k... but I forget what exactly he did. He may have spent meter too, I dunno. Just seeing a lot of j.C, j.2C, land 5C, repeat. 8.4 from churararas video Link to video? Edited October 29, 2013 by PozerWolf
darkasjinksu§ Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 (edited) Found a way to optimize Sekkajin ender even more. Almost anytime you can do 22C-2B-22C you can do 22C-2B-5B(1)-22C. This adds thirty damage to 5B corner damage. Edited October 29, 2013 by darkasjinksu§

cadacus_ater Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 This guy uploaded a 16 minute jin video covering basics and other stuff, haven't watched it fully yet but it may be useful https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9IArJEeA0vk Wow, there is some super efficient use of OD in that video. 7.2k at full health with 100 heat off of crouching hit 5C in the corner...I like. Looks like you can maximize use of OD if you use it after drive moves like 2D and 6D, thus avoiding OD cancel. There's quite a bit of cool stuff there...some things more situational than others but I can get behind it overall. Found a stylish, sorta midscreen finisher for 5B starter with 50 heat at full health. Need to be a bit past a start position and go to nearest corner: 5B > 5C > 2C > 3C > ODC > 66 5C > 6C > 2D > 66 5C > 2C > sj.C > j.2C > dj.2C > dj.C > j.214D > j.632146D (4666/25, uses 75 heat) If you have a little more heat and are farther from the corner, omit the dj.2C > dj.C and use 632146C on landing. So far the highest I've gotten for CH 5B OD combo is as follows... With 90% remaining hp: CH 5B(1) > 6C > CT > 6C > 214B > 5C > 6C > 6D, OD > 6B > j.214D > 5C > sj.D > j.214C > 623B > 632146C (6637/23, uses 100 heat) With 80% remaining hp: CH 5B(1) > 6C > CT > 6C > 6B > j.214D > 6C > 214B > 5C > ODC > 5C > sj.D > j.214C > 623B > 632146C (6886/18, uses 100 heat) Looking at what Ice Cube has in the combo thread, I'm doubting I can find much more for 5B starter that hasn't already been found, lol.
xlolxlolx Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 highest ive gotten for ch 5b at 90% is 7006 ch 5b>6c>ct>tk hizangeki>6c>ice car>5c>6c>6d>od>6c>6d>6b>hizansen>fubuki>touga
Jinny Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 I haven't posted yet, but since I've been wondering about something, I figured that I might as well start now. So, I've heard that Jin can combo from more than just his throw and some ridiculously long combo into 6D. And it's specifically 5C > ODC > 5C > 6D > Astral. Can anyone confirm this?
Ice Cube Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 (edited) 5b(2)>5c>6c>6b>hizansen>3c>ice car>5b(2)>5c>6c>6d>6c>sekka>sekka does 4069 Wicked hard. Any tips on the timing? I probably won't ever pull this off during actual matches though... highest ive gotten for ch 5b at 90% is 7006 ch 5b>6c>ct>tk hizangeki>6c>ice car>5c>6c>6d>od>6c>6d>6b>hizansen>fubuki>touga The last 6B > Hizansen, Fubuki only works against Tager I think. Against the other I needed to dash Fubuki, which reduces number of ice wave hits. Here's my version, should be universal. Starts at 90% HP and 79 Heat: CH 5B(1) > 6C > CT, tk.Hizangeki, 6C > ice car, 5C > 6C > 6D, OD, 6B > Hizansen, 6C > Sekkajin, 3C > Fubuki, Ice Wave Super (6935) I haven't posted yet, but since I've been wondering about something, I figured that I might as well start now. So, I've heard that Jin can combo from more than just his throw and some ridiculously long combo into 6D. And it's specifically 5C > ODC > 5C > 6D > Astral. Can anyone confirm this? 6D (in overdrive) combo into astral yes. 5C > ODC > 5C also works. So we can have silly stuff like 2A > 5B(2) > 5C > ODC, 5C > 6D, Astral. Wicked trolling. I would do 3C > dash 5C > 6D > Astral though. Edited October 30, 2013 by Ice Cube
shtkn Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 i'd replace dash 5C with dash 5B > 5C > 6D > astral 5B pulls in the opponent so you can make sure the 6D doesn't whiff
