(for XBL) "What is a ranbat?" - Think of it like a tournament series where you keep standings, then after 'X' amount of tournaments, we run a final tourney where the points earned seed the tourney. "Can I enter if I don't plan to make every one?" - Yes you can! Treat it like a weekly thing, or like a one off. I would prefer you enter as many as you can, but enter at your leisure/convenience. BASIC INFORMATION AND POINT STRUCTURE! BASIC TOURNEY INFORMATION: Date: 3/3/2013 (SUNDAY) Time: 7:30 PM EST Check-in: Starts at 7:00 PM EST (On IRC. See below for details/instructions.) (IF YOU DO NOT CHECK IN, YOU WILL NOT BE ENTERED IN THE TOURNEY. CHECK IN ENDS AT 7:25PM) Player limit: None. Format: Single entry, Double elim, 2 out of 3 ROUNDS, 2 out of 3 MATCHES until Grand Finals (which are 3 out of 5 MATCHES instead). Character lock: YES (You can switch between tourneys, but each tourney is character locked) Point structure: 1st = 10 2nd = 7 3rd = 4 4th = 2 Participation = 1 Who can enter: Anyone in Eastern/Central USA or Canada. WHAT ABOUT WEST COAST PEOPLE? WHAT ABOUT PSN PEOPLE? West coast people? You may be able to enter! If you are not in Eastern/Central USA or Canada, you just need to verify your connection. Two ways to do this! 1- Get me to play test a match with you, and see if it is playable. If it is, it should be fine for everyone! 2- Get a east coast USA (touching the Atlantic ocean) to vouch your connection for you. If you want to enter, but still need to be verified, you will be in the 'pending approval' list of the pre-registered players. Communicate with me to set up a time to get verified! PSN people? I can not help you there, but someone else might have you covered! Check the netplay forums here and look for a PSN ranbat/tournament thread! BRACKETS AND STREAM INFO! RULES ABOUT DISCONNECTS: -The DC'ing player will forfeit 1 match. Period. -If the DC'ing player does not return in 10 minutes, the set is forfeited. -Contact me on IRC if you have any disputes. The sooner the better. -If you can not connect to each other, I will host for you. If you still cannot play each other, the player that has no issues connecting to me will be awarded the win. Sorry. -IF SOMEONE LAGS, DO NOT COMPLAIN, SUCK IT UP, PLAY YOUR MATCH, AND REPORT THE ISSUE AFTER THE MATCH. -If someone is reported to lag often, I will bar them from the ranbats until they resolve the issue. -IF YOU RAGE QUIT OBVIOUSLY, YOU WILL BE BANNED FROM AT LEAST 1 FUTURE RANBAT.
