Blade Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 Well, Chipp more or less was chasing after the Soshiki as it was pretty much falling apart, with Venom being one of the last members, but Volf was still active and given a mission to kill the president of A Country (why America now has a little girl for a president I'll never know...). Anyways, Chipp ends up breaking into the White House looking for the assassin he was chasing, ends up making friends with the president and decides to protect her. He manages to fend off Volf a few times, tangles with Pote once or twice, and I guess things turn out eventually, then I guess he gets the role of the "Gale Guardian" of the "Butterfly" in otherwords he's the President's personal guardian at this point. As for exactly how he becomes president...well, that we never actually see, but it's appeared in GG Bible Timelines a few times. Though he does begin to study politics at the end of XX and in AC+ he's trying to rally/lobby support as a hero/politician/ninja uh...yeah... Remind me again to go over Night of Knives, I'll get back to you on it, I swear!
Zazz Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 AC+ he's trying to rally/lobby support as a hero/politician/ninja uh...yeah... best campaign platform ever. "I'M A GOD DAMN NINJA." well as for the future, I think: (fun fan theories ensue) May: Would be all grown up by GG2. Maybe she'd grow out of her childish crush on Johnny? At least she knows she's Japanese now. Johnny: Still chasing the ladies and fighting the good fight. No changes. Potemkin: Still working for the good of Zepp. No changes. Axl: Living in a non-linear timeline, well he's still hopping around. No changes. Slayer: Staying with his hands off methods. No changes. Millia: Either dead from Angra taking over or living quietly in retirement. Anji: That Man's replacement for I-no since she was rather hard to control and . . . I-no: Stuck in an ice cube as punishment. Baiken: Still raging at That Man. No Changes. Bridget: Grew up? Obviously looks like a guy now . . . right? Venom: Presiding over the Guild. No Changes. Eddie: DEAD. Or in a petri dish on That Man's desk. Robo-Ky: Now outdated hardware, runs away from The Bureau to save his own metal hide. A.b.a: Still wandering. Maybe married to Man-Paracelsus? :3 Testament: Alone and bitter over Dizzy siding with humans. Jam: Employing Bridget as her best waiter . . . waitress?! Kliff: Still dead. Justice: Getting killed by Sol in GG1 helped her remember who she was as a human. Uses final boss Geese Howard hax to come back as Aria. Supremely unhappy and angry at That Man for throwing her under THE BUS OF HISTORY. Planning something by using incomplete copies of herself (Valentines) to do her dirty work and stay out of direct danger.
Kitana_Matsuri Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 I'm beginning to think the Sol/Ky fans need to make an art thread specifically for that pairing...; It just makes sense. XD Despite the absolute hate these poor guys feel for that pairing. But the pairing is too delicious with a huge foundation and dynamic. -Swoon.-
Lou_Cypher Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 Wasn't that addressed in the webcomic. One of Ky's worst fears of seeing doujin of Sol/Ky and he goes running off, scared. Anyways, here's what I think of what's happening to the others in Overture: May: Gets over Johnny and goes for...Testament? Or Bridget if they stop by Jam's restaurant. I'd prefer with Testament though. Johnny: I'm actually hoping he dies...(don't kill me!) Axl: An epic battle with Raven...and gets sent somewhere in time again. Slayer: Retired and bored. Jam: What Zazz said. Millia: Dead or replaces Ky as IPF captain. (Like that's even possible.) Eddie: Just die already! Venom: Same with him, along with the rest of the Assassin's guild. ABA and Robo-Ky: Brother and sister hang out together. Testament: Hiding in Illuria...and becomes the first GEAR sublimated by Valentine which alerts Ky... Bridget: With Jam Baiken: Kills I-No. I-No: Gets killed by Baiken Anji: Must...stop...Baiken! Chipp and Potemkin: President and bodyguard? Justice: Becomes an epic spirit since she is a legend among humans by the time she died....
Shadow Draygon Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 I say all the GG character stories should just be addressed by the biggest party ever, where they all got super drunk and wasted. Then they all wake up in lives and positions they never had before and must solve the mystery of who is playing this sick and twisted game on them. For more more info on this plot, please watch the Cube. Wasn't that addressed in the webcomic. One of Ky's worst fears of seeing doujin of Sol/Ky and he goes running off, scared. Kinda. http://www.leblackdragon.com/hz/comics/00000101.gif
Kitana_Matsuri Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 Ahhh~ Yes. I remember that. Entirely humorous while Sol battled a giant squirrel. But the shitfaced adventures of the Guilty Gear cast can only lead to ultimate hilarity.
Blade Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 Here's my *somewhat logical* take on what may/will happen to the GG Cast (in Alphabetical Order): ABA: She struggles to find out the reason for her existence while simultaneously finding out who/what made Juramento Nagel (Paracelsus) come to be. Anji: Chases after Baiken, tries to convince her that THAT MAN isn't so bad.. Axl: Tries to use the knowledge he gained from time travelling to solve the puzzle that is Raven instead of focusing on going back, now that he figured out the cause (Faust was the one who hinted to him to look for THAT MAN)...possibly with I-no's forced help. Seems to have some info on Sol's past when he was just a child (it's possible Axl knew Freddy when he was little). Baiken: Runs away from Anji, trying to kill THAT MAN in the process..though she seems to get involved with the Soshiki somewhere down the line and fight against PWAB. Bridget: Was told by his Uncle that his brother ran away, now he's trying to track him down (it would be the oddest twist if his brother happened to be Eddie, the kid who Venom as a drifter/hustler bumped into and decided to train Eddie as an assassin...Eddie vs Bridget twin brother battle would be epic IMO). Chipp: Becomes Prez and develops a diplomatic relationship with Illuria (aka King Kiske's country), talk about your political scandals... Dizzy: Goes on a personal journey to understand her powers fully and to understand humans more, Ky may be involved, but anywhere she goes, PWAB is sure to follow. Alternately, her link to OutRage is disovered and her real purpose for existing is revealed. Dr. Paradigm: Tries to unite the forces of Illuria and Ganymede along with remnants of the Backyard for any more "rogue gears" or humans that may pose a threat... Eddie: Obviously since Zato-1 is dead he can't live or isn't supposed to, but I imagine THAT MAN picked him back off the ground, studied him and might possibly give him a new real/aritifical body to play with. Faust: Discovers firstly how much of his life PWAB had a hand in, including his unnatural abilities, and decides to pursue his "creators" while saving lives along the way. Izuna: Decides he likes the Human world and goes touring alongside Anji and Baiken possibly. Jam: She decides she wants to scout for possible chain store opportunities and she's looking for handsome waiters to run them...result: fighting and more fighting ala HnK style... Johnny: Retires, but teaches May the vestiges of the Uncho Shihan Jigiden (Cloud Fencing Style). Ky: Manages to find a cure for his wife, gains the Thunderseal once again and goes in hot pursuit of the Gearmaker while trying to keep his son in check. May: Takes over Johnny's position as Captain of the Jellyfish Pirates, becomes a reknowned Anchor-sword Mistress, and discovers her origins as a super-human child (via the Soshiki). Also continues the Zorro-like theme, only with Dolphins! Millia: Fighting Angra she decides to track down various people (THAT MAN, Slayer, Venom, Faust) for a possible cure for the symbiosis. Though, it would be interesting to see her in her Angra form. Potemkin: After tag-teaming with Chipp for some time, he eventually takes over Gabriel's role as frontman for Zepp, which means he must seek out a successor to Zeppian combat...though he may get harassed by Slayer from time to time. Sin: Decides he's going to fight for his mother's sake and ease the chaos while tracking down Sol who seems to be in the thick of it (with Ky trailing behind). Sol: His limiter finally breaks and he goes into hiding but now he's in pursuit of THAT MAN and no prior obligations will stop him, not even Sin or Ky...though Aria might get in his way. Slayer: Gathers the elders one final time to destroy the PWAB, though Baiken is involved and Venom may get in his way and Millia may seek him out...it is also possible that Chipp may repay an old grudge debt to Slayer, who was the founder of Soshiki. Testament: Though a Gear, he seeks refuge with Ganymede and discovers a new group that accept him and that he can protect...decides to develop his own "vision" of the Holy Order in honor of his late father. Valentine: Though not the original Valentine, she is another clone of Aria and decides to stake her claim to the TRUE power in the Gear world...the Flame of Corruption's DNA...so in other words, she chases after SOL! Venom: Becomes a full-blown drifter, adopts the boy named Eddie and trains him as a new assassin, but the purpose being for his own vision of a higher good (moreso than Slayer), he and "Eddie" decide to start out as hustler/bounty hunters which in turn crosses paths with Bridget...
Zazz Posted August 31, 2008 Posted August 31, 2008 Kinda. http://www.leblackdragon.com/hz/comics/00000101.gif get back to making comics plz
Dizzy Kiske Posted August 31, 2008 Author Posted August 31, 2008 This is really awesome to the max~~ lolz. I think May will be SUPER HOT in the next guilty gear (if she's an adult already) and then Johnny will go after her instead and the world will go topsy-turvy where Sol and Ky were bunny ears and. . . whoa..... um... randomness blabber...
Shadow Draygon Posted August 31, 2008 Posted August 31, 2008 ...and then Johnny will go after her instead and the world will go topsy-turvy... get back to making comics plz Yeah, I kinda miss it too, but the fandom has kinda died out from doing it. That and my main computer is on the fritz with all my sprites/photoshop. Would like to do a quick, "Vote for Chipp or he'll kill you in your sleep" president campaign commercial.
Ecchi Posted August 31, 2008 Posted August 31, 2008 Venom: Becomes a full-blown drifter, adopts the boy named Eddie and trains him as a new assassin, but the purpose being for his own vision of a higher good (moreso than Slayer), he and "Eddie" decide to start out as hustler/bounty hunters which in turn crosses paths with Bridget... This is almost as awesome as Chipp's BAD END in the AC+ Story. In fact, why not combine the two: Chipp is out looking for strong people to help him in his bid to become President/defend the country, so he offers Baiken asylum once she gets in the shit against the PWAB and/or Ky. Venom and Eddie tag along because life's more exciting when you're with a weeaboo ninja and a wanted woman. Pencil in Bridget and a Jam's Chinese Violence Restaurant fightscene somewhere too.
YanisDLooper Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 Johnny: Retires, but teaches May the vestiges of the Uncho Shihan Jigiden (Cloud Fencing Style). May: Takes over Johnny's position as Captain of the Jellyfish Pirates, becomes a reknowned Anchor-sword Mistress, and discovers her origins as a super-human child (via the Soshiki). Also continues the Zorro-like theme, only with Dolphins! This is much better than all those depressing theories about Johnny dieing and May leaving. She has so many friends in the Jellyfish Pirates that it seems like she wouldn't leave with Anji, especially with him chasing after Baiken. Even if she did leave the pirates would probably track her down and she would join back up with them when she realized that they cared so much about her and that whether she is Japanese or not doesn't matter. Also Johnny is just too awesome to die, ever.
Shadow Draygon Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 I liked the ending better when Johnny died in the new Gear War and May leads the Jellyfish into battle. ....And then blew up to a single Gamma Ray from evil Dizzy, bwahaha.

Blade Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 Night of Knives Part 1: Tracks 2-3: The story begins with the Narrator stating the time and place being sometime shortly after Justice was sealed and how organizations are scrambling around trying to deal with the recent influx of incapacitated Gears. Millia appears to have a close relationship (probably cohabitation) with Zato from the start, as the two, despite being Assassins are quite intimate with eachother. She's surprised to find he's still awake in the dead of night (which appears to be a side effect of his Kinjuu, that he can't sleep). While the relationship is close, it is somewhat strange in that Zato idealizes Millia as not only the perfect assassin, but also the perfect woman in his eyes. Millia makes a comment about being treated like a beautiful doll by him, a doll perfected to kill. It's this comment that Zato uses to place a seed of doubt in Millia's loyalty towards him. He asks her if she is truly happy being with him, as an assassin. She wonders why he would even consider that she would think of betraying him/killing him, he makes an excuse about the nature of an assassin, which she says (privately) is a lie to keep them distant. They argue about what it means to be an assassin and how someone can still have feelings. Millia tells him to stop acting like he's a god (though he has enough power to act as such, being the leader of Soshiki). Though despite that, Zato comes on to her physically in an intimate kiss they share, albeit reluctantly for her. Zato tells her to forget his feelings for her, despite the kiss, which she tells him she can't. She asks him if he has a dream/goal...he says he doesn't care for dreams and that instead she is his dream...which she scoffs at. The intimate moment is interrupted by Venom knocking on the door with orders from the higher ups about a new hit to be made (much to Zato's casual annoyance, though he still acts like a playboy). Millia answers the door and plays mind games with Venom, pretending Zato wasn't there...mocking him and his dedication to missions and to Soshiki. She relents and says she's going to go take a shower (obviously taunting Venom by doing so). Zato apologizes privately about her to Venom (as though he were only loyal to Soshiki and not her, quite the two-face here), and Venom begins to relay the new mission given them. Venom reminds Zato of the current state of the guild as a 'punisher' of those outside the law, and those who appear 'untouchable' beyond the rules and regulations put in place by the world's governments after the Crusades. The current difficulty of the mission is ranked as B+, the goal being to assassinate a head general of a certain country who is rumored to be initiating illegal activities (human modification, gear weaponry, anti-gear weaponry, etc.) but despite this has not been penalized by any of the governments sponsoring him. Zato volunteers personally for this mission, to which Venom is surprised. Zato surprises him yet again by saying that Millia will be the actual "hitman" and that he will act as her "support". Venom questions whether or not this move is risky, but Zato explains that a male assassin would be far too dangerous, and be predictable. But they would never expect a woman to perform the hit. Venom still says it's dangerous to rely on a woman, and says he would much rather be there to protect Zato should anything happen. Zato explains further his reason for volunteering himself and Millia, the guild itself needs proof of his ability to conduct missions and act accordingly and professionally. Next, they discuss the location and "stage" of the "hit" and where the ideal hit would take place. Zato points out that they would less likely anticipate an attack from a woman during a ballroom dinner party which is what was scheduled for the general. They talk about the insertion method, hit, and extraction points. Zato states that even during this mission, he anticipates some fighting, as it won't take long for the soldiers to discover the hit, hence his level of caution. Zato gives Venom a personal warning not to treat Millia as an enemy in this scenario, even if his resentment of her is obvious. Zato asks Venom the same question he asked Millia about whether or not he is happy as an assassin...to which Venom replies that Zato's happiness is his happiness (code-talk in reference to obeying orders). Venom explains further that no actions given him on order he will not regret (his loyalty being very deep with the Guild). More in a later post....
Blade Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 Night of Knives Volume 1: Tracks 4: Millia and Zato are incognito at the party, and despite their mission, Millia appears to take the party in stride and makes a comment on how pretty her dress is (imagine Millia in a gown and Zato in a tuxedo with sunglasses). Millia makes a comment that he's taking this too seriously, which he ignores. The two manage to spot their target surrounded by a crowd of soldiers and higher-ups and decide to wait until he is alone before initiating contact. Zato mentions that the time limit in which she can act is limited, as the general will be moving away from the public eye soon and will be heavily guarded after that. Millia senses that Zato is beginning to doubt her ability to get to the target, so she reassures him that she will fulfill the mission with time to spare. She makes a comment on how cute the "old man" is (her target). Zato warns her not to take this too lightly. He reminds her that as her "support" he intends to eliminate any obstructions to her goal, but it is her job to escape. She reassures him again. A waitress comes by to check if the two are here together and desire a couple's table, but Zato declines, saying the party was getting boring and leaves for his own objectives. Feeling neglected, Millia decides to "wait by the punch bowl" so to speak until the crowd clears. An elderly gentleman walks up to Millia and addresses her politely for conversation, inviting her to some wine. The conversation is light and pithy about the state of the government's policies, and the gentleman invites her to the balcony to enjoy the night sky. Millia marvels at the night sky, and introduces herself as Millia “Carrie” (an alias). In turn, the gentleman introduces himself as “Slayer”. Millia is shocked at the unruly name, he informs her it is more a “position” rather than an actual name. In his field of work, he says, he cannot afford to give a name. Millia begins to become suspicious of his actions in inviting her to a drink. He begins to inquire more about Millia’s personal relationships with the people at the party, (she is alerted to the possibility he isolated her as a deterrent to delay the time window in which she could act), he quickly changes the subject and discusses more the reasons for the party being held (which aren’t many and isn’t interesting), but Millia plays a front like she’s having a grand time. Slayer offers a toast to “the full moon surrounded by stars”, to which she agrees and toasts him, carefully downing her drink so as not to arouse suspicions. He says that he is honored to have met such an elegant woman full of life (a hint that he’s a vampire, lol), she asks him why it is he would say that and he simply says that he sees what he sees. He shifts subjects on her yet again and confesses that the reason he is attending this party is not to honor the general, but in fact he has more important reasons. Millia begins to suspect that there are other hands at work here than the Soshiki. It is interesting to note here that Slayer refers to her as “Millia-kun” which is somewhat unfeminine, as though he were treating her less as a woman and more a woman of profession. He deliberately presents his suspicions of her presence at the party to her, seeing if the pressure would cause her to react. Millia replies nonchalantly and with grace and precision, saying that she is not suspect and is merely a guest. She verbally turns the tables on him and wonders why he would be aggressively asking her such questions. He replies evenly that he is merely interested in some capacity in what all “humanity” has to offer, and as such he investigated her purpose for being there, as though he were studying a subject like some kind of scientist. He says that “we are merely curious visitors seeking out what lies hidden”. Millia picks up on his usage of the word “we”, to which he apologizes. It appears that he is merely with his wife Sharon, which Millia writes off as harmless enough. Slayer comments that perhaps someday Millia will find someone important in her life “worth looking for”. He excuses himself, saying that he promised his wife a dance, to which Millia wishes he’ll have a good time. He wonders if they’ll meet again, and departs…leaving Millia bewildered as to whether or not he really was suspicious, but the time window in which she could strike was coming fast upon her. The scene shifts to outside the pavilion where Zato is having a conversation with Venom. He comments that the time window is coming up. Another assassin comes to report the ETA of several “supports” in the event that the general’s army is alerted to his assassination. Zato reminds them when and where to extract Millia once the mission is complete. More later...
Blade Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 Night of Knives Vol. 1: Track 5: Millia is walking up a flight of steps to the general’s bedroom, having successfully evaded the few guards in the area. She easily picks the locks to the general’s room and finds him fast asleep. She apologizes before ending his life with a “Lancer”. She turns to hear the sound of someone clapping…only to find that Slayer was there to observe the kill in its entirety! Slayer marvels at her ability to go undetected by the guards, and is happy with her performance, saying he “knew” she had a purpose for attending the party. He asks her to show him what it means to be an assassin. She replies with Lust Shaker, which he casually parries. Slayer taunts her and invites her to try her best to take him out, saying that “He’ll teach her what fighting is all about” (his intro). Just his mere aura projecting itself outward is enough to convince her to go all out on him with Iron Maiden. He dances around it cleanly, commenting on how nice the attack was, but weak. She’s too shocked to move, and so he counters with his own move “Exploding Mach Punch!!,” sending her careening into a wall. He asks if she’s all right, saying he used too much power, and she screams bloody murder…he says that normally he doesn’t like to fight, but really just wanted to get the truth out of her. He states that he’s not there to simply fight as he “was curious” about her as her “Elder sempai”, in other words, one of the founding members of Soshiki Assassin Guild. She says that assassins don’t just simply get “curious” and have a reason for interference on a hit. He admits this is true, which makes her ask what exactly is he? He replies as per usual that he’s an “exception”. She mocks him by asking “what does my sempai want?” He simply says he wanted to ask her a few things. The first question being, “Have you ever killed a gear before?” He asks if she has such experience in the field, to which she barely knows what he refers to. He replies that an assassin should be able to handle such a mission…she extrapolates this to mean that he expects her to be an anti-gear weapon (in reference to the forbidden kinjuu), to which she mockingly applauds his deduction skills. He quickly brushes off the accusation and asks what the Assassin Guild’s current “ultimate target” is. She says that only the “leader” knows that. He asks one final question: “Are you truly happy?” She hesitates, and he says that this isn’t the way a “true assassin” would behave. She says she “gets it!” He asks if she is satisfied with Zato being the current leader of the guild…but doesn’t allow her to answer and instead leaves the scene. She tries to get up, but finds she was injured slightly from the punch and can’t pursue. The scene shifts to a cadre of soldiers who burst in on the room which Millia and Slayer just fought in, to find their general was assassinated. The alert is sounded and soldiers are now in pursuit of the assassin. Millia is somewhat incapacitated, but still able to move around, but is discovered by the soldiers. They point their guns at her, telling her not to move, but discover they can no longer move themselves. Her hair has taken over the situation, and soon they are too scared to do anything, their guns sliced to pieces by hair strands. This offers Millia a chance to escape. Meanwhile, Zato and Venom observe the scene as the alert is sounded, and everything has turned to chaos. They begin to wonder if she failed her mission. Zato gives the order to spread out and eliminate obstructors. Venom moves in tandem with him by taking out guards with Carcass Ride, Venom confirms that the target was eliminated, but that Millia was nowhere to be found. A cannon is fired, and soon a cadre of soldiers and their captain burst on the scene with orders to kill any suspicious persons in connection with the assassi[finput][/finput]ssassin’s Guild. Zato suspects that his moves were anticipated and comments as such before the captain. Venom acts accordingly by throwing out a Double-head Morbid, which is blocked by the rather large man. He introduces himself as Head Captain Gottfried. Gottfried tells them to prepare themselves, saying they can throw anything at him and it won’t work. Zato leaves it to Venom and promptly leaves the scene, to which Venom asks where he’s headed. Zato says he will search for Millia, and recover her. Venom says to be careful. Venom turns to Gottfried, saying he isn’t even worthy to fight Zato. Gottfried calls him a fool, saying he just doomed himself. Venom throws out a series of Stinger Aims which appear to be nullified by a blasting punch by Gottfried. Another punch blasts through a wall which Venom barely dodges as he mocks Gottfried’s efforts. Venom summons his Dark Angel…Gottfried endures it and says it didn’t work. Venom admits this may be troublesome now. The two spit retorts about true strength back and forth a bit, and Venom eventually says Gottfried is boring. Gottfried responds with a “DOKKAN” (Kaboom), but is quickly countered by Venom’s Red Hail. Red Hail apparently disables Gottfried’s movements for the time being. Another assassin comes by to report to Venom that Zato is nowhere to be found. He tells the group of assassins to head out while he searches for Zato, as they head out, Gottfried is screaming that the fight isn’t over. More later...
Blade Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 Volume 1: Track 7: Millia is being pursued by soldiers, one of them chases her with the intent to kill, she dispatches him easily….only to find he wasn’t dead, even after the fatal blow. She’s bothered by this, but undeterred. More soldiers show up despite her giving them the slip for a moment, she jumps through a window into the night air and glides to the ground. The soldiers jump out the same window in pursuit of her, literally jumping to their supposed deaths to the hit the ground, but getting up despite this…one of them puts a choke hold on her and appears to have transformed into a monstrous giant humanoid creature. More of them transform and she appears unable to free herself from their grip. A mysterious being in the shadows appears and tells her that’s as far as she’ll get. She says he’ll kill him. But he says she is in no position to say such things. A dart is thrown into her and she is rendered unconscious…. The scene shifts back to Soshiki headquarters and a door opens. Zato asks why Slayer has come here of all places. Slayer replies that it’s been a while since he visited his junior. Zato replies that he doesn’t need to answer to him or show him anything. Slayer says that’s questionable in terms of loyalty. Zato scoffs at this and says he is merely doing what is good for the guild and then asks why his senior would want to know so much about what’s going on. Slayer asks if he is doing well (regarding the Kinjuu). Zato says not to bother, only that he does what is best for Soshiki. Slayer says that he’s beginning to think Zato has lost the true meaning behind the Soshiki. Zato praises him for observation, but only that. Slayer says he has been “summoned” to the elders. Zato says there’s no time for that. Slayer replies that this is a hindrance in “their” plans. Zato says that’s fine, as Slayer was the hindrance in the first place. End of Volume 1…. Slayer’s Side story: Robo-Ky Robo-Ky says he’s top-of-the-line black tech (and all other egotistical things), and frequently talks highly of himself. He finds himself having been mistaken for trash and thrown in a dump, he laughs it off as ignorance of humans, and says he wants to look for a new weapon in this place (assimilation of things around him) as he detects high-level weaponry among the heaps. Using his scanner he finds a signature similar to his, and discovers now that there is MORE than one Robo-Ky in the vicinity. A “series zero” prototype model (from GGX perhaps?). This particular model has a nasty stuttering problem (damaged I guess), but he manages to have a conversation with it. He’s very rude to the inferior model and asks if the thing can even communicate properly. It confirms that the serial number is similar to his, and that he is the copy. The two have an argument about who is the “copy” and who is the “original”. Even going so far as to compare their missions. Acquisition is relatively the same. The “older” model is insulting this Robo-Ky and this newer model begins to refer to him as “Dame-original” or “Useless Original” saying the original is always useless. The humor comes from the fact that although this RK calls him useless, neither have been successful in their missions. RK2 scraps him at first, but RK1 is still persistent. RK1 says he thinks that RK2 would be ideal to assimilate for an upgrade, and begins to scan him. RK2 acts all embarrassed like he’s dressing him down, saying what he’s doing is rude. RK2 says they should decide on a compromise since both want to be upgraded to an extent. They continue to argue about how to fight enemies and how to fulfill missions. This turns into a mallet-smacking contest, to hilarious effect, both of them struggling to use new insults for each other (imagine using letters of the alphabet to insult people). The two RKs are holed up in a cave, waiting out the rain, avoiding rust. They start comparing parts and argue again about who the original is. Data is transferred between them to exchange info, but all the info RK1 has is obsolete so RK2 says he’s once again useless, apparently the information transferred overloaded RK2. He wakes up to find he’s been moved to a section of the cave where old Robo-Ky parts have been stored for “possible use”. Just the scene of all the parts makes him nervous (like staring at a cave of skulls). RK1 says his mission is attack acquisition (remember RKmkII?) and the two discuss the various attacks they’ve experienced and how effective they may have been. They try to out-impress each other by the damage they’ve managed to take. RK2 makes a mistake in the data and gets made fun of for it… It’s still raining, and so they can’t travel far due to rust. The two decide that becoming allies is most effective. RK1 mentions having experienced the thing humans define as a “dream” (though it’s possible he was too damaged to know for certain). RK2 can’t believe he’s heard this. RK1 says RK2 is useless for not having experienced a “dream”. A fly comes by to bother them, and RK1 makes an attempt at swatting it, surprising RK2 further at his “grafted” abilities. The two compare philosophies on data and energy acquisition and how important it is and how important self-sacrifice is to protect data. RK2 is hesitant to talk of this…and RK1 reminds him that his mission is to acquire more energy, even at the cost of his own body in order to further “upgrade”. (basically in RK1’s mind since RK2 is the superior upgrade, in such situations it is more logical to upgrade that which is superior than that which is inferior, even at the loss of the inferior). Because it’s raining energy acquisition has become dangerous, especially considering the thunderstorm overhead. RK2 warns him of the danger, but he goes out anyway. RK2 chases after him, thinking he did something stupid. He finds him reclining on a hill nearby and calls him an idiot for making him worry. When “Ky Kiske” happens to hear that he’s being insulted, he says he’s glad he found Robo-Ky at long last, saying he’ll have to take him by force. RK2 is shocked that Ky would be here, and calls him the “Dame Original” and that he is the “True” Robo-Ky. Ky demands what his mission is and what he’s doing out here, to which RK2 is hesitant to answer as he was merely chasing after RK1. Ky takes advantage of his confusion and draws his sword. RK2 says to hold it and wait till he recharges his energy…but Ky does not hesitate attacks him with Ride the Lightning, blasting him into a hill nearby. RK2 is stunned, and surprised he’s still functioning after the attack…only to find that RK1 was the one who took the brunt of the hit, but the damage was too great for him to handle. The scene turns into a sad one in which RK2 grieves over the loss of RK1 (although it’s more about the loss of RK1’s data) while Ky looks on such a pitiful scene. RK2 calls him a murderer, Ky apologizes and tries to put his friend back together, but it appears sad (funny) and just plain pointless. RK1 says that “that’s enough idiot”…to RK2…making this even more pitiful. The last things on it’s “breath” are an insult before entering final sleep mode. Slayer closes out with a haiku about dolls (I forget if it had any humor in it or not). Volume 2 later...
Blade Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 Night of Knives Volume 2: The scene picks up where it last left off in a fight between Zato and Slayer. Slayer brings out his shadow Eddie, which Slayer abruptly dodges as it smashes into a wall. Zato acknowledges his skill, to which Slayer comments his follow through needs work. That he needs a more creative “ultimate attack”. Zato offers to show him his “creativity”. He pierces through, but Slayer dodges cleanly saying he’s too slow and counters with a punch. Slayer goes into a lecture about what an ultimate attack is supposed to do and the nature of its execution (like a professor). He also talks about how humans have the natural tendency to “limit” themselves in a fight, and that is why in his mind the Soshiki are currently in their weak state and that the “way they fight” and “who they fight” is mistaken. He says that its natural for someone who is strong to have enemies no matter who it is, and that the Soshiki have grown complacent and secretive in their endeavors, making them cowardly in his eyes. That’s why he launches further into an attack of “Danchizuma” (Unity Punch?) which blasts Zato into a wall. Zato apologizes, but stands…summoning Amorphous. Slayer calls him “Rookie-kun” as he expected him not to surrender so easily, and slams him with another punch, saying he’s too young to understand. Slayer asks if he has anyone for which he fights for, someone precious, such as Millia…Zato demands to know what he did…Slayer says he left an opening and punches the daylights out of him. Zato continues to ask what he did with Millia. Slayer says he merely let her get caught, so as to prove a point. Zato says that’s not the way to do things, instead that the leader should utilize anything and everything to achieve a goal, and not abandon their subordinates (suggesting Slayer has done so in the past). Zato says he’s willing to get her back no matter what…Slayer says he should be prepared for the consequences, but that he isn’t finished “disciplining” Zato. Zato manages to endure it, but he’s at his limits, as is the Kinjuu and he collapses. Slayer states that even though he was defeated, he was not weak in any way…just distracted by too much power and influence. Zato manages to come around, and Slayer takes his leave, saying he won’t interfere any further, since it seems Zato has gotten the hint, though he blacks out. In the depths of a chamber, Millia awakens to find herself bound in chains and suspended and feeling weakened but still grateful to be alive. Her hair appears to be unable to move, and so she is incapacitated. She wonders what will happen, since she is still alive. She wonders how much longer she’ll have to endure killing, and the answer comes from a phantom of Zato himself, he comes close, and she is hesitant and fearful of his advance to her. He reminds her of things that an assassin should always be prepared for, including betrayal. She says he’s wrong and that her feelings were for loyalty and love and nothing more. He reminds her about the time he asked if she was happy. She says she isn’t and won’t be for as long as she lives like this. The illusion is broken as Slayer enters the scene and acts as though he were merely entertaining a guest. He explains his purpose as a watcher over the Guild and the functionalities it serves and why he caused her trouble. He has hopes she won’t hold a grudge against him, merely saying he is concerned for all the Kinjuu-infused subjects that have served the guild thus far. He says that he would be forced to kill her, should the kinjuu get beyond her control…which appears to be expected. It doesn’t seem to bother her that he is concerned about her level of control, so long as she is in control that is. Slayer is still concerned about what it is she’s capable of with the Kinjuu she has, as she hasn’t fully used it compared to Zato. She wonders if she should be looking to him as a superior in the Guild, but he waives this aside. He says that the current concern is the abuse of anti-gear weaponry and heavy reliance of it in militaries around the world, and he is concerned that an anti-gear weapon (Millia and Zato’s kinjuu) may not be enough to deal with them. Millia says she will deal with any threats given her, in any case. She says her fight is not over, and that her hair is her pride, being a woman. Slayer warns her the dangers of her decision, but she reminds him that it’s more than what he thinks is the reason. She says that it’s her decision and the way she lives, and with this, cuts herself free of the chains. Slayer praises her and encourages her to stand alone, despite any issues that may result (this meaning that she no longer has to obey the Guild’s orders or act under Zato’s thumb). She heads out, and addresses Slayer as “Fuuga ri na Dandy”/“Dandy Elegance”. More later...
Blade Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 Venom bursts on the scene looking for Zato, wondering if he’s alright (having heard Slayer dealt with him severely). He appears and collapses into a chair nearby, having somehow survived the ordeal. Zato warns Venom to be careful of any intruders or people observing further missions from now on. Venom points out that Zato used up a lot of his power and isn’t prepared to do anything for some time. Zato waives this aside, asking for a drink. Venom obliges, while Zato fumes over what happened to Millia, wondering if she’s alive or dead. Venom has not confirmed if she survived the ordeal or not, though he cares little for that, but the result has increased security with the general’s army and production of anti-gear weaponry has stepped up. Zato suspects that Millia might have used the opportunity to escape her mission, Venom reminds him that such a thing would be unforgivable. Zato says he isn’t thinking about her as an assassin at the moment. He worries about her kinjuu as much as his own. Venom asks if that is all he needs, and Zato says that’s all, Venom leaves….leaving Zato to obsess about Millia in the dark. Venom speaks to a subordinate on the radio, who happens to be the one who incapacitated her earlier, though it seems that the whole “mission” was intended to test Millia’s loyalty, which appears to have failed in Venom’s eyes. Zato is aware of the plan, and says that from here on in, he will deal with Millia personally, as it’s obvious to them that she was freed... Millia returns home, though Zato and Venom act surprised, it might be that they are more surprised she escaped imprisonment and came back there. She says that Slayer was the one who assisted her, to which Zato says now he knows what’s been going on. Zato mentions the struggles and distrust within the Guild, and says that that “monster” may be involved. Millia says that Slayer treated her fairly despite her being in chains, and that her opinion differs from theirs. Venom doesn’t like it, saying that they never should’ve trusted her to other branches of the Guild. Venom asks Zato to forgive his act of impertinence now as he feels Millia deserves it. Zato holds him back…saying now isn’t the time for that…saying that he was prepared that she would handle things differently and that his responsibility is to treat all his subordinates equally, including Millia. Millia comments that he is ever rigid in his obedience and asks what he plans to do now that things have gotten worse. Zato says that’s not needed, and that a new mission will be given them soon. The new target(s) is located in a place called Catalonia, an orphanage. Millia is appalled at this, but Zato explains the reason: elimination of potential bio soldiers. Millia protests that killing children won’t solve anything, Zato replies that it’s his responsibility, not hers. Millia pleads with him to reconsider what would happen to those children, regardless of modification or not, that their lives are still precious. She even goes so far as to throw herself at his graces, begging him. Zato thanks her for her opinion. Millia begs him not to ignore it. She says she would be willing to kill and to die over anything else, except to kill innocent children who became victims. Zato mocks her by saying Slayer influenced her way of thinking. She reflects on the times in which she grew up with him, as an orphan as well. And how much they went through and fought for…but this wasn’t the reason. She refuses to do this. Venom sees this and slaps her away from Zato, saying that she has always interfered with the Guild’s existence and shouldn’t be allowed to be in Zato’s presence any longer. He demands to know where her loyalty truly lies…with Zato or with the Guild…Zato stops him further…realizing Millia has been through enough. Venom apologizes, but says he felt it necessary. Zato says that humans make irrational decisions and think irrationally as well, but that assassins are above rationality or thought, and do as told. Millia tries to say something but Zato says it’s an order. Zato tells her to think about what the Guild means to her and why she supports it, not once considering her emotions. He says the Guild has begun to change, and this is the first step. She asks once more if killing children is the means…he says it is, if only to prevent more potential “forced” members of the guild from being created. Millia asks if he thought about this from the start when becoming leader…he says being a leader means making regretful decisions and producing painful results, and asks if he’s wrong. She wonders if she should be more loyal like Venom is, but he says she can only live as she has so far. He orders Venom to make the preparations for the next mission, without interference from other members of the guild...even if they are the only three acting members on this mission. He asks Millia to protect her feelings and what she finds important, even if that means becoming cold and distant. She says she’ll think about it, and they’ll simply have to see the results. Venom grits his teeth in anger at her flippancy, Zato says that even if Slayer affected her thinking somehow, that will have to do, as ultimately it is her decision to live or die with the Guild. Millia begins to weigh her decision on whether or not it’s worthy to kill children for the Guild’s sake or not and whether her heart would be torn up either way. A memory of Slayer reminds her that she must do what she can do, otherwise he wouldn’t have given her the ability to act. She finally comes to grips with the idea that she neither wants to die, nor does she want to kill, for Zato’s sake…or anyone else’s. She begins to wonder what Zato “truly” means to her. More later...
Blade Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 The three stand on a beach, overlooking the complex, which appears to be heavily armed, despite being an orphanage. They suspect that they will ultimately be dealing with Gears in the complex, or at least Gear technology. Zato explains that Venom will use methods to disable security while Millia and Zato infiltrate the complex and execute the “targets”. Zato takes the time to notice this place is ideally quiet enough for him to get intimate and kiss Millia once more, which shocks her, after all she’s been through. Zato asks why she is so resistant this time around, and wonders if her feelings have changed for him, but this seems to have made her even more beautiful in his “eyes”. She asks him if he would be in despair over her death should this mission fail. An explosion off in the distance signals the beginning of the mission. Security officers begin to scramble as their system is compromised. Gottfried comes to report the possibility that the Soshiki are attempting infiltration of the complex. Though it’s not unexpected. Of course, the “current” captain has come prepared for their arrival. He says that humans will be the least of the Soshiki’s concerns when they arrive. He says that he has a new project he wants Gottfried to be involved in, and wants him to get ready. The “God-series”. He injects the chemical into Gottfried’s neck and says he should prepare himself to fight. Gottfried promises to leave with confidence. Zato-1 blasts through the first layer while Millia clears the way with a Tandem Top, Zato says he’s aware they were waiting for him but that they still have to fulfill the mission. He eliminates more enemies using Invite Hell. They discover a strange humanoid creature floating in a tank, given orders to kill any and all assassins. Millia deals with some of the faster enemies and wipes them out cleanly, but they’re harder to deal with than before. Zato mentions that it comes with the territory to face increasing difficulty. Another opponent charges him but gets blown back by Eddie. Zato says that they should get in and out as soon as possible, ignoring casualties or stealth in this situation, also stating that they would be more effective if they split up...trying to pinpoint the location of the “targets” quickly. He asks her again if she thought of her answer yet, and she says she will answer in her actions…the two team up with an Executor/Emerald Rain combo, eliminating more soldiers on both sides. Zato says it will take more than this to reach his limit, even though they get separated from the ensuing chaos. More inhuman soldiers appear and continue to attack, he summons his shadow once more…Millia begins to realize that pain is inflicted upon her body the more she uses her Kinjuu and this makes things even more risky, given the situation. Zato says that those who don’t like pain should leave, and they go together, further into the complex. Gottfried once again mocks Venom’s futile attempts to stall for time. The two show off more of their skills, particularly Gottfried’s skill with a halberd. Venom asks him what he plans to do now. Gottfried summons a Malbogia-eating Wind Twister to disrupt Venom’s formations. Venom manages to dodge it, and marvels at the power. Gottfried summons another one, thinking he’s cornered Venom. Venom warps behind him, and strikes him from above with Mad Struggle. The two decide this battle won’t end until they both unleash their strongest abilities. Red Hail strikes him down. But Gottfried stands once again, seemingly invigorated by the attack. He strikes with a winded fist which cuts into Venom solidly, this causes him to think that Gottfried could no longer be human…making Venom collapse. A door opens and Millia and Zato stand among cribs of several would-be super children sleeping. Zato comments on how cute they all are. She says they’re like angels. She asks when the place is supposed to be destroyed, and he says soon. Zato mentions that the time for the complex’s destruction should be on schedule. He says they should hurry and eliminate the targets as soon as possible. She says it’s a shame…that such children would become soldiers for such a corrupt leader. Zato agrees. He begins to think that she was referring to the Guild as well. He says that he will deal with the “old man” when he’s stronger. Millia then asks Zato how he feels towards his own targets before he kills them. He says he doesn’t feel anything…but before he fully responds, he is struck down by one of her Lancers. One of the babies starts to cry…he whispers Millia’s name as he falls into unconsciousness. Millia apologizes for hiding her feelings this time, and says this is for her own future. She’s shocked at the fact she killed him (supposedly), saying she’s now free of him. She says her final farewells to him and leaves… The last words on his lips are “There are no happy assassins…” She takes flight amidst crying children. ...End of Volume 2… Next: Slayer Side Story: A.B.A.
Lou_Cypher Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 Well, that is certainly interesting. Now we know almost everything about the triangle between Millia, Zato, and Venom. Funniest part would be the two Robo-Kys though. Now do one about the non-existent Kuro-Ky! (Kidding...I'm just busy working on a fic with him...though not what one would expect.)
