Yeah, you're right. I mean, this whole section is all about GG storyline.

Though that whole theory of all the characters in GG to GGXX never existing (other than Sol and Ky) is sorta retarded.

You haven't read the newest interview have you?

Anyways, I want more story on the relationship between Robo-Ky and ABA. Anywhoot, siblings? Wha?

well with the new art book out with its delightful works, more insight into the GG world is given. the most interesting bit, to me, is that picture of Sol, Justice, and That Man back during their gear project days. Justice looks like Valentine who we all know looks like Aria therefore . . . also she's blushing while looking at Fred. Eye color: Green. Sol, as Fred is chewing on his pen and looking pensive. Eye color: Blue And That Man looks like Near from Death Note and enjoying a drink. Eye color: [finput][/finput] time to await story translations!

People keep saying "Justice looks like Valentine" when all we have for evidence is red hair... If you're going to make that argument why not try and see the resemblance in Dizzy to Aria...make the jump people...

Aria is Dizzy's daughter!

Nah....that can't possibly be true can it?

But then (Overture story spoilers)

According to some story summaries, couldn't she just have used herself or another Valentine clone to get access to The Cube or whatever?

Unless.....you're suggesting that Justice is Dizzy's daughter though time paradox.

...Oh my god, I think my brain just fried a bit :psyduck:

there's a slight problem with that . . .

Sol destroys The Cube right after Valentine gains access to it.

anyway. here's the obvious line of thought:

Valentine looks like Aria. Justice (human) looks like Valentine (human). Valentine (robot) looks like Justice (robot). Therefore Justice looks like Aria, and thus Justice IS Aria.

or so the theory goes. :psyduck:

Oh, but I mean:

If the original Valentine was somehow Dizzy's baby, then that means she would have the genetic key stuff to open up the Backyard and thus get access to The Cube, right? If she was the daughter of Dizzy ('n Sin's Sis?), then one of them coulda just used another to get to The Cube. Or somethin'. Anyways, I kinda assumed that Lou meant that "Valentine is Dizzy's daughter!" rather than Aria.

Wait, there's robots now too in the mix? :psyduck: EDIT: Whoops, forgot that damn "/" mark for spoilers. Although I dunno why it's necessary, since the trailers pretty much summarized all the key plot points in the damn game.

Pfft, robots, time-travelling? Madness! (not.) All those things happen in the GG world. Paradox will always happen.

Ugh...:psyduck:

You've got it backwards from what I said.

If people are going to theorize the connection, start with this:

Aria/Frederick/That Man work on the Gear Project:

Frederick is designed as the Prototype (aka Sol)

Based on that prototype design the first model in a series, the "Command Gear Type" is made, namely Justice.

Things we know about Justice:

--Being designed as a weapon and at one point playfully mocking Sol prior to his obtaining the Fireseal Sword (i.e. she spared him).

--A re-encounter with Sol near the end of the Crusades with the Fireseal (a fragment of OutRage) results in weakening her severly, enough for the Seikishidan to seal her up in a Dimensional Prison that can only be activated via some form of blood pact.

--We are aware that her DNA is sealed by That Man in the Backyard in an object known as the Cube and can only be unlocked by a variant of said DNA.

--During the recruitment tournament some five years after the Crusades, Justice is unsealed by Testament via the blood pact, but this is short lived. As Sol proceeds to destroy her, with Ky at some point looking on (having witnessed Kliff Undersn's death as a result here.)

--She mentions having wished she could again talk "just the three of us" in reference to the Gear Project when speaking to The Flame of Corruption (we do not know if this was before, during, or after being created and/or converted...we just know this event occurs, we also only know this particular conversation involves That Man and Sol, Justice does NOT call him Frederick) shortly before her death at Sol's hands.

Things we know about Dizzy:

--She is confirmed to refer to Justice as "mother" meaning she is Justice's Daughter (this occurs on two occasions, in the Drama CD and GGXXAC+). We do NOT know the significance of the relationship, or whether it is on a genetic level or even if it refers to being a clone or backup...only that the relationship is maternal.

--Has some connection to the OutRage via the symbols in her ring, which were originally designed by Frederick AFTER his Gear conversion.

Things we know about the "Lady under the Shaded Tree":

--She is classified as Justice's Backup and so there is a link between her and Justice. To clarify, we do NOT know if that means she is related or is a clone or both or not...just that she is called a "backup" nothing more.

--Her body began to wither as the result of some unknown disease and through certain methods using the Thunderseal Sword (also a fragment of OutRage), Ky Kiske was able to seal her body to an extent to prevent her from being killed.

--Her son is Sin, and therefore he carries Justice's DNA, which is capable of unlocking the Cube in Backyard, which has a complete strand sample of Justice's DNA.

--Dr. Paradigm mentions in a side-comment manner (during the scene when Ky/Sol/Izuna/Dr.P are observing the sealed woman) about a story "he heard about" referring to a rogue Gear with a bounty on its head some years ago...while most of us consider this to be Dizzy, he does NOT specify nor does he say this gear is the same person as Sin's Mother. We don't even know if this is even related to the topic they mentioned beforehand.

Things we know about Valentine:

--She is mentioned as being a "clone" of Aria by That Man.

--Through forceful methods she is able to obtain Sin's DNA and as a result Justice's DNA and become the creature known as "Diva"...we do NOT know if Diva is the same as Justice or is a quasi-amalgamation of Justice/Aria's DNA or a "completed Justice" only that Valentine was able to obtain Justice's DNA, which could mean ANYTHING.

--She claims to be doing this for Aria's sake, or rather that she is working under an existence/organization/group that is related to Aria. We do not know anything further regarding this except that the possibility is that Aria may still be alive and exist. (Unlike the original Justice who was killed by Sol, who prayed for her soul soon afterwards).

Things we know about Aria:

--She looks exactly like Valentine, who is the only CONFIRMED character she resembles.

--Valentine is her ONLY CONFIRMED clone.

--She appears to have had a relationship with Frederick and That Man during the Gear Project...this is, to an extent, reflected in various bizarre quotes said by Valentine in various scenes prior to Diva's defeat.

Having said all that...if Aria truly WAS Justice, then Dizzy COULD look like Aria, and Sin's Mother COULD also look like Aria...if you were to base the theory on appearance, which, to me makes no sense at all.

Well, this puts a dent in my fanfic. Oh well, Tzeentch tells me to have backup plans anyway. If Dizzy is Ky's wife, my fic will continue normally with a few modifications. If Dizzy isn't, well I already have a plan to kill her off and incorporate her DNA into Ky's wife... Third option: Ky's wife is a mix of Dizzy and someone else. :)

c'mon lou, if you look at those sketches of ky's partially dissolved wife, you'll see she has a partially dissolved tail too so follow your DREAMZ, and if you're wrong, we still don't mind . . . as long as your fic isn't crummy. :v:

Tch, I'm incorporating Kuro-Ky later on...but he's really Ky in disguise.....tell me that's not crummy. And Robo-Ky will be helping Ky and Millia.....need I say more?

Kuro Ky = crummy = no thanks. Robo-Ky can be helpful but only if his primary motivation is self interest. Like, say, to prevent himself getting scrapped by the Bureau.

Or helping out Millia because she's hot seems viable in Robo's case. He's always proposing to ladies after all.

I'm taking that idea!

People keep saying "Justice looks like Valentine" when all we have for evidence is red hair... If you're going to make that argument why not try and see the resemblance in Dizzy to Aria...make the jump people...

Now here's a thought- KnK is partially disappeared, most notably her legs. In Lightning d'Argent, Marina, who took the Gear infused medicine for her legs (iirc) later had a reaction to it (in the art, it looks like her legs are getting ripped apart while some Gear creature emerges from them) and then there's Solaria, another command-type Gear....who also looks remarkable like Marina....

To argue Dizzy-Kiske's points here

KnK looks like Kyrie/Dizzy O...O She has a love for ribbons and she has a ponytail. ... who has a bounty, wings & tail, Gear DNA, large boobs, and a recent bond with Ky??

Firstly, who the hell is Kyrie?

Secondly-

---love of ribbons - that's a general girl thing, meaning, I think it's safe to assume that most girls would like ribbons and just because the KnK artwork features ribbons doesn't mean RIBBONS=DIZZY

---ponytail - people with long hair tend to wear it in ponytails. Examples inclued Sol, Baiken, Johnny, Jam (kind of) and I guess Dizzy, but her's are really more hair loops. From the art, Solaria has long hair, so why not wear it pulled into a ponytail? Just speculation...

---who has a bounty - most Gears have bounties on them, and iirc, so did Solaria because she was another Command-type

---wings & tail - KnK art only shows those features while she's frozen in the crystal. Plus, what's to say there can't be other female Gears that sprout such appendages?

---GEAR DNA - Solaria's got that too, all Gears do

---large boobs - most GG women sport this, so it's pretty irrelevant

---recent bond with Ky - while there's no direct bond between Ky and Solaria, he does seem to grow close to Marina. This one is still kind of up in the air since translations haven't really been down, but if someone wants to tackle it, I can scan that book once I'm done scanning the MC book.

Words of truth.

So, what do we know for sure, about Solaria, and in turn, Marina?

Kuro Ky = crummy = no thanks.

Don't ever say that about my Darkside-Ky, Zazz or he will retaliate.

@Raging Tofu+Lou_Cypher: Whoa whoa whoa slow down guys! :gonk: I'll answer your questions about Lightning the Argent soon enough, but you have to give me time! I'm still working on working out A.B.A.'s backstory as well as finishing up the Night of Knives summary I was working on. Patience is a virtue. :)

Edit: Since people are probably chomping at the bit to know who Solaria and Marina are, I'll give a quick "jist" of it.

Blackard Company basically created a Command Type Gear "Solaria" in secrecy and started harvesting her blood for medicinal purposes (illegal drugs/healing tonics/etc). One of their test subjects happened to be a paraplegic girl by the name of Marina. According to Faust, Marina began to exhibit gear-like behaviors for a time, but through some effort, the drug they used was taken out of her system. My memory on the details is fuzzy but basically Ky manages to recover Solaria and take her into custody, and he goes to visit Marina and check up on her.

As for Kyrie, I'm drawing a blank at the moment, or they are fan-created, one of the two. :vbang:

By the way, before I hurt any more ignorant people, I want you all to read this:

Memorize it and learn from it.

so

if aria=justice and

valentine (copy dna)= clone aria (original dna)

for me it's not logic valentine needed sin's dna. :psyduck:

- is valentine a "incomplete" aria clone????'

-aria =/= justice???????

I want to say that Kyrie must be fan-created, because I've never heard of (her?). Saying Marina "exhibited gear-like behavior" is a bit of an understatement, hehe. As I recall, her legs literally exploded into writhing tentacles that Ky had to hack apart, then formed a face that looked like Marina and melted due to the damage. Marina was found on the doorstep of a church clutched by a dead woman bearing the Sigil of Justice. The priest assumed that the Blackard Company was trying to raise her to transform her into a Command Type Gear. I'm not really sure on the exact details regarding her connection with Solaria except that Solaria looks nearly identical, except younger, and *might* be her "sister". Solaria is a sentient (presumably Command-Type) Gear. She sang, and I think (not sure) that her voice (or the sound of her voice) is what triggered the Gear Cells in the various villagers to go crazy and kill them, and also what woke up the Megadeath-class gear. Raven's on the scene in the book to recover a sample of the resonance for That Man, and to warn Sol that he should keep away from the source of the resonance. Sol eventually finds her and ditches her with Ky, and she's taken under the protection of Interpol. I'm not sure, but I'm pretty sure Solaria has no bounty, because the PWAB don't know she exists. Again, could be wrong. Solaria also doesn't look nearly as much like the Maiden of the Grove as I originally though, at least not in the concept art, where her ears don't appear elfish at all. *shrug*

@Wendy That's plausible, but it may just be she (Valentine) wanted Justice's DNA because it was the closest to "Pure" Gear DNA. If I'm understanding the nature of how Gear DNA works...to some extent it grants great power (of varying elements) and nigh-immortality and healing ability. Nearly anyone would want it... Theoretically, she wasn't just trying to obtain Justice's DNA, she was trying to find the original formula for the ultimate Gear, since it's logical that the lower the production model the more refined the genetic sample. In reality, that formula is inside Frederick's body, insomuch that he's the prototype Gear.

Plot FAQ should really be updated...

I agree, but more information needs to support the current info available, i.e. even little details like I-no's guitar being named "Marlene" shouldn't be missed.
