it feels like the Guilty Gear fanfictions have . . . died :(

Not really, I'm continuing my fic. It's just like everyone's happy with Blazblue, which is not exactly a bad thing.

Hello board, I'm a new member though I've been lurking around for a while, I finally decided to join up. I really like Guilty Gears plot and backstory, and have been following it for years now. I just wanted to share an idea I had for all you speculators. +++Pure Speculation+++ Everyone seems rather convinced that Justice is Aria, and by that extent Sol is possibly Dizzy's father. Its been hinted a few times in Overture, that its more likely that Justice and Aria are two different people, with a certain connection, be it clone or whatever. However I dont think Sol being a father would really be good for his character and does not to add conflict to the plot, which is when the thought occured to me. Perhaps That Man is Dizzy's father. It would certainly explain the hatred Sol has for That Man aside from having been turned into a Gear. If anyone has played Final Fantasy 7: Dirge of Cerberus, you'll understand what I'm getting at. Vincent=Frederick Lucrecia=Aria Hojo=That Man In the pursuit of Knowledge That Man casted away his emotions, and turned on his own friends for the sake of his experiments, Turning Sol into a Gear, who then went Berserker mode (Think Wolverine) and possibly put Aria in a coma. That Man seeing the failure of the experiment went to work on Aria, but since she was in a coma took her to the Backyard where he believe that the atmosphere created by the Magic, would help cure her of her coma. Not being a patient man, he decided on Creating a Clone, and modifying it into the perfect Gear, Justice. He then expanded his experiment by attempting to create the first "True Half Human Half Gear" not just a human injected with Gear cells or vice-verse etc. He implanted Justice with his own seed, and thus Dizzy was created. Somewhere along the line during the Crusades, I imagine The PWAB has gained possession of Aria, and has attempted to recreate That Mans success with Justice, by creating their own, albeit incomplete, clones. The first or at least the most superior of which, was Valentine. Needing the key component and equasion to create a Complete Justice Copy, they made it so that Valentine would hunt down the blueprints to Justice's creation, That being The Cube. I'm guessing once Valentine became Diva, The PWAB analyzed the Data, and since perfected their Justice Clone, and are creating Valentine Divas enmass for some unknown evil plot. Although what the PWAB hasn't accounted for is the Reawakening of Aria, and should she awaken the control over the Diva Army would be hers, thus "The Merciless Apocalypse"

Hmmm that has been discussed quite a lot. Many people actually believe that theory, but it has one contradiction: At Sol's ending at GGX we see That Man saying: "To think there was a daughter... most interesting. Another reason not be killed by him." He didn't know Dizzy's existence until then. And about the PWAB making Valentine, it could be possible too, but apparently she was born from the backyard. And personally, I'm with you in speculating that Aria might still be alive. :)

I dont know I still get the feeling Sol isn't Dizzy's father, perhaps it'll be an as of yet revealed character, or That Man's mysterious third apprentice. (A fact that That Man could possibly be hiding) I'm almost certain that Valentines "Mother" and "The Merciless Apocalypse" are Aria.

Could be, Aria is not labeled as "diseased" in the GG character relationship chart. But I actually have some theories on how Sol can be Dizzy's father. ^_^ And the final boss fight will The Man vs Ky and Sol vs Aria. Epic. (But lately I have been losing faith in the GG franchise, I hope it will not die or further stagnate.) P.S Off to sleep...

As much speculation and theory is put on the table, I can only sever it at Overture. That Man says he and Sol 'already killed' Aria. The similarity between Valentine and Aria is mentioned but nothing is put in absolute terms, same goes for her mood swings at the end, also Valentine's mother might be something else entirely. The relationship to Justice is purely out of boss appearance and hair color, that's all. Perhaps all command types look as such, seeing as they are a series. Dizzy mistakes the Justice copy for her mother, but we don't know if that's programmed recognition or not, similar to how she IDs Eddie. Crow mumbles about her being a copy as well, but that could just be his personal jargon for how gears reproduce. As of now, NOTHING IS CONFIRMED! *stamp thump*

Aria being alive? I don't know. Aria still existing or in the process of being resurrected or recreated? Almost certainly.

i think i need repost my epic timeline. i been reworking it a bit. :kitty:

Zazz, before you do that, try and reread GG2's dialogue thoroughly.

and what do you mean by that?

i wonder how those translations of the other artbook stories are going :?:

Damn that just puts a huge hole in my theory.

They seriously need to come out with a new GG game. Be it a RTS or RPG or whatever Overture constituded as, etc.

Thus we speculate :eng101:

Ohhh I remember the good old days when I would spend hours looking through different forums and thousands of posts to know the identity of Ky's wife.... and read hot debates and WTF reactions about it(and until now, the chart in the memorial book is still a very indirect confirmation, at least for the fangirls I guess...maybe.)

And Dizzy's birth is just too mysterious:

1. Justice IS her mother but what kind?

2. She is half-human, but she has an OUTRAGE symbol beside her GEAR marks at the circle around her body. OUTRAGE

3. She was born during the time Justice is sealed

4. The Man didn't know about her at first

5. And these conversations:

1-7

Dizzy: Did you... come to kill me?

Sol: I came to find out. Hey... you're a Gear?

3-7

Dizzy: Please, go away...

Sol: Wait... this feeling is...

3-8

Sol: (No mistake. It's the same as back then.)

Dizzy: Stop it, Necro

What is Sol feeling? And he was surprised to find out that Dizzy's a Gear.

6. And as Blade said, Crow referred to her as a copy

7. And this weird conversation(not exact):

Crow: JUSSSTICCEEE!!! (Jastisu!!!)

Dizzy: Mother!?

Ky: It can't be...Justice is/was sealed!

Is or was would be important to figure out how much Ky knows. Please tell what was it. I can't remember :vbang:

@Zazz

Have you read the update of my fic? :)

I'm interested in the Dizzy/Eddie relationship. Does Dizzy have a history of fighting Kinjuu? Kinjuu are considered Anti-Gear weapons, yet they are Gear-Derived Technology. Also all we know thus far about 'OutRage' is that they are magic amplification devices, not all of which are considered weapons by nature, that and the word 'OutRage' appears on Gear Plant containment tanks, so there is a possible link to Dizzy in that.

Here's a question I've been pondering, but I haven't had access to the supplementary materials so I'm wondering if it's been answered there. My question is why is Jam so darn good at manipulating Chi? The most information we get is that she's naturally disposed to using it, but I'm not entirely sure that's a good reason. She seems to be nearly as adept at using Chi and Ky is at using Lighting, another form of magic, but Ky's also a warrior and has a piece of the Outrage. Jam's just a chef who happens to kick butt. Baiken also uses Chi, but only clearly in her dust, and it seems rather weak, especially when compared to Jam's manipulation. So I'm wondering if in any of the voice dramas or manga this is answered. Right now my guess is that her hairclip might be a piece of the Outrage. Angi's fans show that they clearly don't have to resemble weapons, and since Chi seems to be a type of magic that is best used through hand to hand combat, it would make sense to not be a real weapon. I'm also aware that a headband is usually used to help one concentrate, so the hairclip could be something along those lines.

Here's something I noticed recently. Justice's destruction of Japan(or at least of the Japanese people), occured over 100 years ago, yet Baiken was around to witness it.

the country of origin for both Baiken and Anji is listed as "Pre-destruction Japan"

things get even more confusing when in AC+ story mode Anji gets asked if knows other Japanese people and he replies he knows only Baiken

what? wouldn't they be from one of the colonies?

What about Mizuha? I think Anji knows her as well.

Big article in Qi/Ki/Chi here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qi

Basic idea is that it's a breathing method (Breath of Asanagi) that extends to outer release points on the body. In the manga Veritas, it says that anyone is capable of refining/filtering their energies, but it's more powerful when you practice the methods at an earlier age. My guess is that Chipp, Kliff, Baiken, and Jam started their training early on (Chipp was a late bloomer), hence the raw power they can generate.

As said the more energy is purified the stronger it gets, so you have some idea how dangerous a toll it can potentially have, too much Ki can rupture the pathways on the body. So there is balance needed.

The GG world treats Ki like a genetic trait, but that's merely outsider observation. More than anything its cultural traditions put into practice and passed down generations.

Posted

i guess May is just a natural at it then

Well maybe a natural, But she doesn't put a lot of effort in mastering it... :vbang:

Or maybe she did not realize it yet..

Posted

The Japanese ancestry seems to have a different element in this case. Since many are capable of awakening latent powers, similar I believe to the whole Kusanagi/Orochi blood feud in KOF, "Riot of the Blood". Kind of like a combat high or adrenaline rush. Baiken in particular managed to awaken after killing I-no in AC+ though it's more going berserk than anything. Also it is said the OutRage 'Zessen' which Anji uses can only be activated by Japanese blood. I don't know if Anji himself can use Ki, but it's unconfirmed if Needle Type 2 his energy orb is Ki or not. He may be compensating. May hasn't used any evidence of Ki as of yet, only shockwaves of raw power at best. If anything the Ki reserves she has are what gives her massive strength.

Posted

Hmmm...so are Ki and magic entirely different? Example: If Jam can use Ki, can she use magic as well like Ky and Sol? I remember that Kliff used Ki, but I'm not sure if he used magic at the same time. It is also possible that magic and Ki are different forms of eachother based on genetics or culture(like Blade said)? And yeah, May could be a natural. But is the possibility that she's one of the "super" children Millia found in the drama CD's dismissed? Could it fit time-wise? Kinda like: Millia rescued the kids --> Hands them to IPF--> Johnny receives one(or probably even more) via Ky Kiske JUST PURE SPECULATION OF COURSE, May's age can range from 10-14.

Posted

As I said Ki is a breathing technique, magic is like applied math/music notation with quantum physics...both are possible, just that magic can greatly affect Ki, such as a support spell like Haste or Quicken. I still have to finish KoK's ending for Millia, please be patient.

I was thinking the same way as you do.

@ Blade. No worries, we will be patient :keke:
