I'm scared that having these beautiful new models means less characters then ^Core, kinda like what happened with KoF 12. I mean, ultimately I'll still be hype as hell with, let's say a 10 character roster, but it would be nice to see everyone's favourite characters make it into Xrd. I wanna see Anji in all his HD glory, lol.

Guilty Gear isn't a new franchise.
Narroo Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 Nice job there! I think it will take place after +R but before GG2. I don't think a reboot is necessary, GG's story is much more streamlined that BB's mental plot with it's time travelling. BB started nice and tidy compared to GG. Then they threw in Drama CDs and all those Phase Shift books and what not, and now it's all wonkey and stuff.

I don't know if they could afford redrawing new sprites for all characters (+25?) in HD. I think 3D was a good choice. 3D is a lot easier and cheaper to do. It makes it easier for them to get them all in. Also, I guess if you like DLC, it makes it possible for alt costumes. I thought the shaders looked kinda weird before, (not "gritty" enough for GG) but directly comparing them to the sprites, I think it looks better than I thought. I watched the trailer a few times and now I'm used to it.

In tekken & Virtua Fighter series if the new game came out no one playing the old one .. But in street fighter though 4 is so popular 3rd strike still played (lets consider 4 as Upgraded version of turbo 2 ) the same in applies KOF ...13 has it scene and ppl still playing 98 & 2002 there are even tournaments for these games .. lets back to tekken and VF ..the game system is the same ( in general) but every new sequel they develop thing here and there with adding new moves or changing move Properties..(it's the same in GGX series from reload to slash to AC).. what about KOF & SF ?? some titles of these games has a major change in the game system.. E.G using fire balls in SF3 is different how it used in 2&4.. another example in SF alpha there is air guard in 3S air parry non of that is in 4 .. in kof 2002 you have the max combo system in XI you have the tag system another point both games and 13 has super cancel (cancelling a special into super) but in different ways ..also in KOF they change some characters game play like ropert & kyo So either MAJOR changes in the games system.. something new a gives us a new experience .. or major changes in the character's moves & game play style.. I will be surprised (and disappointed) if it doesn't come out on PS4.

The thing is though, if they're gonna sell it on the next gen consoles, they're gonna need some extra features to make it worth it to the consumer or else they'll just buy it on current gen hardware. There's some cool hardware specific features on PS4. If the share button on PS4 can make it so that I can record matches and save them (in HD?) to put on YT or Twitch or something, then that might be worth the investment for me. Not everyone wants to do that though, so I'm wondering if that's enough to make anyone want to buy it. Also wonder if our PS3 sticks will be compatible with PS4...(guessing no, since the DS3 isn't). All in all, they should be able to port it to PS4/new Xbox easily. So if you want it there, you'll likely get it there. Also will this finally stop GG fans from shitting on BB out of some retarded and misguided belief that BB "killed" GG? Also this. I don't get why anime players hate on other anime players. Secondly, "09er" is stupid fucking term for segregating a group a people because they started playing fighting games when SF4 came out. If they have some interest in the game, I don't see why you would be laughing at them about it, simply because they play Blazblue of P4. Especially when GGXX is already (or was) on it's death bed after it stopped being an EVO game, only to be revived during the +R announcement. I don't know about you, but when somebody seeks interest in the game (this person usually apart of the anime scene in my city), I'll show them everything about it and why I've been playing it since #Reload.
