Ball jump and being able to ride dolphins off the hoops sounds fun as fuck. Pot's design is bleh too imo but whatever. Also not fond of the random visor and massive belt. Don't like how they changed the apron+skirt thingy to a backless variety that looks much more awkward with the clear cuts either. I actually like the pants. It's nothing that will make me stop playing her if she is fun, but I definitely prefer the old design.

I love this change. Venom also has a new collar and basically totally different seaming construction in his bolero, though I'm sure that's only of interest to those of us who sew this crazy shit Also, May has a sailor collar now! But weirdly, her front chest panel isn't actually attached to anything, it's just floating under the collar over her undershirt. Wtf, that's gonna be such a pain... I kind of hope if Sin is, he gets a much better redesign. He's got to be the worst looking major GG character yet. Also, something I dislike about the new art is how jacked the dues are. It's like they got became workout buddies with Ralf and Clark and drunk a ton of muscle milk. I despise his duster jacket, so I hope that's tossed. That said Daisuke said the inspiration for his design was a 'piratey look', so I suppose any redesign might also follow that thread. I think Overture went a little crazy in general designwise so it'd be interesting to see what Daisuke does to bring him back to 2D (in look, anyway). GG dudes have always been jacked, but I agree the new style has something off in proportions. I think it's because everything overall has just gotten exaggerated 'bigger', hair, clothes etc, when it used to be more streamlined and balance out pretty well. Not sure how I'm liking how fantasy Popo's looking, to be honest... Curious what the rest of his body's looking like though. edit: Leggings on Millia? Pants on May? I wouldn't mind Dizzy covering up a bit more, or at least having something a tad less blatant Morifap. Cleavage is fine but a girl like her, especially with sir Kiske deserves more class. ^True they have been jacked, I didn't know that Daisuke wanted to go for a pirate theme with sin's look though. But most of it's because of zooming in along with image quality, so hopefully it looks pretty good zoomed out in motion.

Mori has had absolutely nothing to do with Dizzy's design. I do agree though- I hope they use her Overture design, which while cleavage-y is still much better. I have no idea why Daisuke decided 'pirate' would be a good motif for Sin, honestly. Confuses me too, especially since there's no indication he's ever met his mother's crew as far as influence...

Stingy loketests are standard. +R's were WAAAAAAY out of the norm, but that was also a 6 year old game by that point and only adjustments, not "new" things really. -9

I don't dislike the designs but I was hoping to get something closer to Daisukes style, but I guess not, the 3D models will looks much better.

As it stands, all the characters shown thus far (barring venom) are from Guilty Gear (the very first one)...which baseless speculation then leads me to believe that the rest of the original GG crew will come first/ next. course if you move up one game to GGX then my statement rings true (including venom)...I dunno just a random thought...makes more sense to me than them randomly selecting which characters to add, i suppose.

I swore I remember something about another dude working with Daisuke on GG. Well I can't blame Dizzy on anyone but DI then, CRAP. But eh, we all make mistakes. I still find it weird IK have not been mentioned, unless I missed them? It's been a staple of GG despite their lack of practicalness. And seeing some of them in the new style would make for some sweet eye candy at least. And imagine if they were all new? Would be sick. Ah well I guess I can't complain about the Loketests too much and should be more happy with what we're getting. I mean jeez it's a new GG, that's pretty awesome enough. ^If that were the case don't you think we would've gotten Testament or Eddy instead of Venom? Or Axl? Maybe they were trying to get a good balance for playing styles, or wanted the more simple characters first. But then venom is far from simple so beats me man. Edited August 6, 2013 by Soothesayer

Though as much as I want Robo-Ky to return, it was very unlikely he was in this early. Not much to say as of now. Waiting to see if their bios are any different
