STenSatsu Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 But you just got a new AC based game like 3 months ago? Us reload heads have been waiting like a decade, this is all amazing! Basically this. We'll still have crazy +R to play if we want that. I have a feeling Xrd will be fine on the interesting gameplay front though.
Destin Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Basically this. We'll still have crazy +R to play if we want that. I have a feeling Xrd will be fine on the interesting gameplay front though. The changes sound mostly fucking amazing. I haven't been so impressed by fighting game design decisions in so long, it's fucking exciting! !
Kyosuke Kagami Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 the #R novelist thing isn't a bad thing, IMO. As much as I like AC and ACR, so many moves and shit in the game makes it somehow frustrating to play if you wanna try someone new. I guess Daisuke thought of that, too.
fiendmaw Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 #R Chipp would be okay if he has other combos than c.S 6P xn.
the_d3v Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Sorry. Didn't post this earlier since I just woke up (long night, slept at 4AM), but here the compiled list of ElvenShadow's impressions on SRK. http://shoryuken.com/2013/11/02/guilty-gear-xrd-sign-november-location-test-impressions-and-images/
the_d3v Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 (edited) Not that I've seen so far (not even on Nico Nico). But there's a chance folks are simply not uploading them soon since Arc's being stricter with taking them down. Edited November 3, 2013 by the_d3v
Kyosuke Kagami Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 holy shit, half-sec / 30 frames? Blitz now sounds like Last Blade's repel.
ElvenShadow Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 I'm back at the loketest for day 2! Ill try to answer some of these but a lot of the new questions have been answered already... On blitz shield, it's not really a half second, more like a quarter. I have no frame data so its hard to say.
ElvenShadow Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 The roll state that is similar to slide state can be combos off of. Sol can do it from fafnir near the corner
ElvenShadow Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Stage correction Forest is Millia Train is Axl Desolate town is I-no Japan is Chipp Castle is slayer Faust shares with Potemkin for now
HoudiniJr100 Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 The roll state that is similar to slide state can be combos off of. Sol can do it from fafnir near the corner Anything more on hs derivative as an attack? I know it's a hop like attack. Also since it clears up 2k was air 2k, any changes to it's uses in the air? Can it launch an opponent from the ground like in +R?
ElvenShadow Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Of course dead angle is still in and useful. Totally different than blitz shield
ElvenShadow Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Someone told me they saw slayer do forward dust follow up in corner on sol. He wall stuck and slayer was able to combo 5s like 6 times in a row and dragged sol slowly to the ground into crouch state
ElvenShadow Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Talked to Ogawa. He thinks Faust and Millia are the best characters right now and that Potemkin is a bit weak.
ElvenShadow Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Potemkin can combo off the initial knockdown bounce of slide head if he RCs for 50% and is close enough
STenSatsu Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Kind of interesting that the 2 characters building off their weakest versions would be strongest lol.
ElvenShadow Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Ok. Faust can combo 5s 2hs into 2D or pogo off of rerere pull no meter
ElvenShadow Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Kind of interesting that the 2 characters building off their weakest versions would be strongest lol. It's just one man's opinion
STenSatsu Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 It's just one man's opinion Ya for sure. Even if they were clearly ridiculous it'd still be just loketesting. Just thought it was a funny coincidence.
ElvenShadow Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Faust can cancel his taunt but the taunt animations are random and the glowing head taunt takes longer to cancel. I wouldn't rely too much on this gimmick.
Kyosuke Kagami Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 >quarter Still a lot. And that's fine for me. It'd be easier to use than a parry.
STenSatsu Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 I may have missed this but are taunts still essentially separated into a taunt and a respect? Or are they just the same thing now?
ElvenShadow Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 More on Axls new long chain move. It's actually a stance. Half circle back HS input. Takes a little time to start up and Axl is volnerable. He stands and spins his chain. He can press p k or s for 3 different angles full screen attacks. Not sure if the downward angle one is low or not. He can't move or block in this stance. Pressing HS leaves the stance and has a recovery animation. D does nothin in stance. Can YRC to recover from stance instantly. He will most likely use this mostly off of full screen knockdowns. Seems good. Chains come out fast and have little recovery. Shoot used it against me yesterday and it was annoying to deal with.
