I hope this one is high quality but it seems more likely to be one of those small 30 pager pamphlets. Either way I will probably pass on it, and if it ends up being awesome I'm sure there will eventually be a PDF somewhere and that's good enough for me.

CS Extend's was just a bunch of printed official art that was fully available in the in-game gallery. There was also some silliness with Fate/Extra's LE where you only got one of the booklets if you bought it online from Gamestop. I hope they up their game for Xrd's LE materials. I do understand that they can't include complete OST CDs because their Japanese licensors get worried about reverse importation, though. They expect their Japanese customers to buy those separately at full price.

People willing to do that is a very small minority, if they want the OST, they will buy it in Japan, probably cheaper than importing the LE from NA.

It doesn't matter if people don't actually do it that often. Japanese executives think it will happen and thus make these baroque restrictions.

ninjay Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 I am going to download the JP version on PS3 and preorder the LE US version for PS4. That would be awesome if they did some sort of next-gen upgrade offer like Destiny did, but I am definitely not getting my hopes up.

redsilversnake Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 Is the Amazon date not legit? It's a placeholder. Apparently, retailers need a release date to take pre-orders, so publishers will give them either the date they're aiming for or a more generic one, like 12/31.

If it were to be released on the last Tuesday of December, it would be on the 30th. If it is going to be released in the US December, then the legit release date we will see will be the 9th,16th,23th, or 30th. IMO, with ArcSys and Aksys reputation with the US download for AC+ and AC+R, I would be surprised if it is released in the US in December.

Since this is such a major release for ArcSys and Aksys, I'm expecting a near-simultaneous JP and US date. There's no way they aren't throwing the full weight of their localization resources behind Xrd.
CCVengeance Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 It's gonna be a pain in the ass but I think I'm getting the JP one because I doubt we will see the game hit the US in December(would love to be wrong,though). I'm already getting ready to be chewed out by the fam for buying the game twice since I NEED the english release just to hear Yuri Lowenthal's sweet tones(and for more convinience). Alternatly I could go to any local gathering that has the game but then I wouldnt have time to practice(I'm basically shadow boxing Venom's combos anyway).

While that's true, Guilty Gear has had an even worse history of not sending us any content at all (even back when it was owned by Sammy-Sega). I mean, they didn't even bother translating the in-game movelists until Accent Core Plus R if that tells you anything. We've had to rely on English Webpages for most info, which is sad. I'll be glad if they just translate a passage or two of the GG Bible or 10th Memorial / GG2 Material Guides (so I don't have to do everything). Besides, there's other ways of getting the OST, even the stuff that's never officially released (you'd be surprised what stuff doesn't get released that I happen to have).

He has a more solid neutral and d-loop is generally better than sidewinder loop, other than the fact that you need to be in the corner to do it

Can you still input K or whatever else at the same time as H to have that override the H input in case the throw doesn't work?
