Glad to see Elphelt is going to be free for a week just like my new P4AU main Adachi was, since I plan on putting ALOT of time into her and her sister Ramlethal, since I don't have my original main, Dizzy.........yet! Now to just figure out how to get myself a PS4 and the Xrd stick BEFORE Christmas! FREE BRIDE WAIFUS LET'S GO!!! Just out of curiosity though, isn't muti-regional gameplay the standard in most games, save for NRS titles? I can play anybody from anywhere in Capcom games, and was pretty sure I had some international SCV matches back in the day too, though I could just be remembering wrong. Don't quote me on this knowledge, but this was just an issue in Persona 4 Arena: Ultimax. They said players with the Japanese copies simply could not play with the people who owned the American copy for like, the first week. Not sure how that panned out, since me and my friends played like, day one (I have the Japanese, they have the American). International playing has always been a thing. You always see Japanese lobbies up in Arcsys games, with their glorious 4 bar connections, etc etc. You can join these rooms and play, if they allow your piss poor connection through. I'm still a bit confused, myself, as to why they decided to even mention this.

It saves big headaches. I used to realllly want it for PS4 but the only difference there is is the native resolution of 720p vs 1080p. At least, you'll be able to use your stick if you're a stick player, and the game's cheaper.

Do people just think they're too long, or give her too much corner carry? I know she's considered to be S Tier/Top 6, and had the second-most reps at Arc Revo behind Milia IIRC, but she doesn't me as being better than Milia, Faust and Zato. Then again, I'm new to GG, since my "airdasher" roots lie in BB and Persona, but I think even Ogawa said he thought that she was the "least stable" of the current top tiers and could be replaced by I-No if she got fleshed out more. So did she get some CRAZY new tech or something, or are people just worried about her because she's new/ a playable boss like Seth in SF4?

Pffft, what self-respecting gamer still bugs their parents to buy them games? Ones with some form of disposable income anyway? I have not asked mine ever since I was 12 when I learned that rather than wasting my time begging, I could just do odd-jobs here and there and get it myself. Though I would like to see the scene where little Timmy asks papa Marcus to buy him Xrd. Marcus: So...why do you want this game again son? Really long combos, immense corner carry from almost any hit. Much longer combos by any character in GG honestly. She also has no real glaring weaknesses especially if she can shut down Zato. JUst because a character has a high or low representation, doesn't mean they're ass. C. Viper is sparingly used in umvc3, is she as shitty as Iron Man? NO, it's because she's hard to use, who would bother using an immensely high executionary character that takes damage like wet paper, when you can do the same things she does (unrelentingly not letting you play the game) with vergil who is significantly easier to use. Case in point, Ky is A tier, do you see many Ky users, especially exceptionally good ones like how Machabo was/is with Ky on videos from technopolis, game a-cho, and mikado? No, why play Ky when you can play Sol, and probably win more? I the case of Ramlethal, people may not be comfortable with her enough yet to bring out her strengths. Or maybe they just all got bopped out during Arc Revo qualifications. Who knows, but I wouldn't use Arc Revo as a telling of character popularity. It's better to go to Xrd's arcade website and actually look at character usage: http://ggxrd.com/pg/usage_rate_view.php There it shows Ky as the second most used character. But look at that: http://ggxrd.com/pg/ranking_view.php?mode=exe&type=psr_rank Within the top 60 RR's in Xrd, there are only 3 Ky's. So in the case of Ram-chan, she might be either boring (why few top players don't play Ky) or difficult execution/skill barrier to be good with her (why most don't play Zato). Anyways, I'm still unrealistically hoping Machabo goes back to Ky in xrd.

I mean, yo, ain't got an extra 200 bucks just to play a game in native 1080p!! I play on stick sure, just not at a comfortable enough level yet where I need to have one on the PS4. Plus for 5-button fighters like Guilty Gear, I tend to prefer playing on a controller (even for 4-button ones like BB and P4A I am not as good with a stick as opposed to a controller). It's not that big of deal breaker for me. But we'll see what happens in 2-months. I would like to own it on the PS4 but that will depend on how much I can save up.

Sure you can't use it for tournaments yet, but it's better to pay $60 than $200 right now if you play at home.

Then, the final blow: A LOT of people have been reporting PS3 controller devices' pairing (mainly sticks) to last up to max 15 minutes before having to replug it back again, and again, and again.
Appledash- Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 Ram doesn't really have to spend much resources to get some pretty zany rewards off of almost any random hit she gets. Most of her combos give her corner carry, hard knockdown/oki and damage all at once, even if she doesn't spend any tension. Also if she has a good matchup against zato then she's in a good place, although I suppose there aren't too many Zato players. Wasn't trying to imply that her representation, or lack thereof, made her bad at all, I just wondered if she'd gotten some new tech or dominated a recent tournament or something, since this is the first time I've seen someone really complain about her, when she's always looked extremely good to me from what I've seen of her. And yes, several more Rams did make it to the finals of the Qualifiers and got bopped, so had they all won, she probably would've made up like a quarter of the bracket. I can count the number of Seth players in SF4 on one hand, especially know that so many of them have gone away once Capcom nerfed him hard in Ultra, but he's always been strong because of his Vortex and Stun game. As for the Viper/Vergil comparison in Marvel, I don't really think it's fair, when Vergil IS on a different than her in that game. CTRL Unknown just got 3rd with her at TFC this past weekend. Vergil's popular not just for his ease of use, but because he's the BEST anchor in the game, PERIOD. None of the other 49 characters have as much potential in that game as he does. I was more referencing Ogawa saying she was the 'least stable" top tier in my questioning of her abilities, but she does look fearsome, and I don't want to unintentionally derail the thread now that I have my answer. Thanks guys. I always thought the Zato MU was ever and she lost to Faust and Milia, but perhaps I was wrong, since I don't think there's a true MU chart floating around anywhere.

Ogawa was the only "futurist" when it came to Valentine, everyone else thought she was either "aight" or "meh" like bedman (no offense to bedman players). Ogawa saw the potential in her, but even he didn't predict exactly how good she would become. What you're referring to when Ogawa said that, was when Valentine was just released and people were trying to figure her out.
