kosmos badgirl Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Hey thanks - can you say if there's anything mentioned about voice selection / switching between English/Japanese voices on a per-character basis? Nothing about that in the manual, the only stuff related to voices is the system voice and dub language.
RurouniLoneWolf Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Just dropping by to let you guys know that the Xrd sticks are available for preorder on the Madcatz site now
Mumm-Ra Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Internal access feature is pretty cool, now I almost kinda regret ordering the Sanwa Xrd stick. Almost.
TITANIUM BEAST!!! Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Ugh, and here I am low on cash. Site won't let me use my bank card since there's not enough in my account, even though it's just a preorder.
king of heart Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Internal access feature is pretty cool, now I almost kinda regret ordering the Sanwa Xrd stick. Almost. Just buy yourself a table and trace the stick's base with a pencil on the surface then make a hole with the same shape then just insert the stick and you will never regret anything anymore.
Jotamide Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Haha, no worries There is an actual "Arc System Works USA" as well. But our company is Aksys Games~ Hope you guys are getting HYPE for GGXrd! Less than a month away!Based Aksys. Thank you for clearing that up. The hype is real.
White Man Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 RE: Day one patches Given how long it is until the game releases the JPN version of the game probably already passed it's ship date, and the localization teams at Aksys are probably still working on it along with the core programmers and testers at ArcSys. Shooting for a day one patch is what allows them to release the game in a few weeks rather than in January or some time later. Since these guys are probably working 60-80 hours per week right now, they need some encouragement! Let's not complain about the inconvenience of spending 10 minutes downloading a patch since it means there's about 3-4 more weeks of work they were able to put into the product without having to push the release date back any further. Exactly. I think some folks are confusing release day patches with release day DLC—day one patches are a good thing. They're an indication that a development team continued to work on a title even after the process of printing the game discs began. A big thanks to the boys and girls at Aksys for all their hard work. You guys are obviously hauling major ass to get Xrd out to a North American market as soon as possible, and the news of a fully-translated library mode proves to me that you're not cutting any corners. I'd say please take my money, but my Limited Edition preorder has been paid for in full, so you technically already have.

Antitidus Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Ahem Ahem, I'm going to try and overstep the threshold here and ask, will there definitely be an english dub Akselzyis? I heard people say that they heard from someone else that it s true. But I believe there can always be a chance of miscommunication. Thank you for all your hard work and taking time out of your day to contribute to our gossip.

Ballermachine Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Just dropping by to let you guys know that the Xrd sticks are available for preorder on the Madcatz site now Does Madcatz ship to Europe or are they North America exclusive?
Yukikaze Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Does Madcatz ship to Europe or are they North America exclusive? America and Canada only, is what it seemed when I tried to pre-order.
entnervt Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Just wait until Amazon.com lists it. They ship to Europe.
Narroo Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 But, we still haven't confirmed who is actually doing the dubbing and translating. Aksys is only confirmed for the publishing and if way forward is responsible for the dub it's probably going to be 90's quality acting.

Don't be a pessimist; we just wait and see...or wait and hear (y'get my point)
White Man Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Who even cares. We've had fifteen years of Japanese voices in GG; no reason to buck the trend now. /Johnnyglasses
Narroo Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Who even cares. We've had fifteen years of Japanese voices in GG; no reason to buck the trend now. /Johnnyglasses There's totally reason: I want to understand what the characters are saying! Makoto was amazing in BBCSE simply because of her lines, like: "SPOOOOON!"
h0mebas3 Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Forgive me if I misunderstood, but the PS4 version is going to have more features available than the PS3 version?
SolxBaiken Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Access to an app companion and of course utilizing the PS4's built in Share features; but outside of that [and 1080p] I believe that is all.
Layer Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 I find it surprising people still mix up ASW and Aksys still. They've only been localizing their games and publishing it in the US since Accent Core on the PS2.
Zysets Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Aksys is pretty similar sounding to Arc System Works. I might just be people thinking Aksys is just a shorted version of ARC SYStem or something.
