MikelAL93 Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 SSB4 Sonic trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yNK-zBscUUk
Starlight777 Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 Oh I see a Lost World stage. I wonder if Sonic's going to get a stage on the 3DS version as well. I hope there's some Sonic Colors music in this game. Preferably, Planet Wisp.
Skye Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 My inner Sonic fanboy is meh, but my inner FG player is intrigued at this due to the attempted middle-ground between competitive and casual.
TPPR10 Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 I still want Simon Belmont, but I have nothing against Sonic. And I am calling that we will see a Pokémon character either before, at the same day or after the release of Pokémon X and Y
Starlight777 Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 (edited) I still want Simon Belmont, but I have nothing against Sonic. And I am calling that we will see a Pokémon character either before, at the same day or after the release of Pokémon X and Y What if you got the Castlevania Judgement "Dominatrix Light Yagami" version of Simon? Calling it now: We'll get a Mewtwo or Lucario w/Mega Evolution reveal to coincide with the release of X and Y. I would much prefer Jigglypuff with Fairy-type attacks though. Teutonicknight Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 I'd be more hype if it was more like Melee. It doesn't have to be the exact same, because I'm not a super hardcore "Melee is better than Brawl" fanboy, I just didin't like brawl as much in the long run. Gameplay leaned more on luck and noob tactics rather than actual skill, and the balance was god-awful. (and not in my favor either, being a Link and Ganondorf player) If the new one is anything like that, I think I'll pass. Nice to see good ol' Megaman back though, but the rest of the new characters I don't really care much for. Where's my Black Knight from Fire Emblem?
TheRealBobMan Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 The trailer confirms hitstun. This game is already better than Brawl.
TekkamanArk Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 Does Megaman's charging drag Mario in at 0:06? It looks like he's turning around yet getting pulled in.
TPPR10 Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 What if you got the Castlevania Judgement "Dominatrix Light Yagami" version of Simon? And you're saying that I don't like that design of Simon... Because its not true.
Starlight777 Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 And you're saying that I don't like that design of Simon... Because its not true. Oh nice someone else likes the designs from that game besides me.
TekkamanArk Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 I liked the designs in that game too, except Carmilla. Mostly because of the arm-iron-maiden.
SonicSamurai Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 I honestly thought Toon Link and Sonic would be out......cause TL appears in the Spirit Track stage on the 3DS in the background and Sonic felt like a one time only type of deal.....but shit proved me wrong right off the bat man.....but Snake.....should be out.....maybe...was kinda an odd addition in Brawl...still cool but...and now people are expectin Pac Man cause Bando is working on this....eh
floatwater Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Yay Marth finally, though he doesn't look too feminine now.
Starlight777 Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 They didn't even use the Awakening design. Screw this guy I want another Fire Emblem rep who ISN'T a sword wielding Lord.
Tokkan Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 They didn't even use the Awakening design. Indeed, they used the design from Heroes of Light and Shadow. The Awakening design is too close to Lucina, anyways. They might want to put Lucina in, either as a separate character or an alt skin (like the male Wii Fit Trainer) and it would be better if you could tell the difference.
proxy psi Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 New-main in a headband, with trailing sparkles in the attacks ~ Now the down+B causes little flowers to spring out of the ground when it lifts and the new taunt is him pulling out a compact while applying lipstick.
moofpie Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Personally, I would've liked Micaiah as a non-sword wielding female rep.
F. Wily Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 They didn't even use the Awakening design.. I kind of expected that, Marth is something of a franchise head-liner. So when talking about the franchise as a whole... this is sort of the look that they go for. That said, the pattern that Nintendo tends to go for with Fire Emblem representatives tends to be "The Marth" and a character that is from the resent version of the series. Someone from Awakening (unless there something else in the franchise pipe at this time, and no FExSMT is not something that I would consider at this time), likely a Lord, is pretty much a shoe in to be included. Screw this guy I want another Fire Emblem rep who ISN'T a sword wielding Lord. This is one of the things that bugs me, since it is the Lord's that head line in general for the games of the series (Ike seems to be the only exception to this). But you have an extremely diverse cast of characters to choose from when you look beyond the Lord's. I would be rather nice if the characters for FE where not limited to the Lord's and just two. But we'll have to see.

I forgot about the "He Fit Trainer" alternate lol. I'm glad there's still a chance for Lucina even though it's a small one. If there's a 3rd FE rep (assuming Ike is in as a second because of his unique playstyle) I hope it's not Chrom and instead Robin. Robin would at least be able to represent the magic based part of FE.

You are probably the only person who's made this suggestion that I have heard so far at least, and you are 100% right.
Skye Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 You guys know that since Fire Emblem characters existed in Smash Bros, there has been 2 of them, right? The first is Marth, the second is the MC in the latest game. It's a good chance you get whoever MC you're talking about, assuming he/she's the new FE MC (I don't play FE).

The last Fire Emblem had 3 MCs (Chrom, Lucina and the player's Avatar) and the one before it had 2 MCs (Marth and the player's Avatar).
