Ballermachine Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 Where did you find the rest of the sound files? On the disc.
Tokkan Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 Okay, so here's my observations of the Xrd cast. Sol: ??? Sounds like Kyle Hebert doing a bad Steve Blum impression, but something seems off so I don't think it's Kyle. Ky: Sam Riegel Millia: Tara Platt May: Eden Riegel Faust: Kaiji Tang (confirmed) Chipp: ??? Sounds a bit like Orion Acaba but I'm not so sure it's him. Someone suggested Erik Kimerer but honestly Chipp sounds nothing like him to me. Axl: Liam O'Brien I-no: Tara Platt Potemkin: Kirk Thornton Zato: Matthew Mercer Slayer: J.B. Blanc Venom: ??? Bedman: Yuri Lowenthal Ramlethal: Erin Fitzgerald Sin : Lucien Dodge Elphelt: Cassandra Lee Morris Leo: Jamieson Price Johnny: Liam O'Brien Dizzy: ??? Dr. Paradigm: Michael McConnohie Gabriel: Richard Epcar That Man: Derek Stephen Prince Chronus: Liam O'Brien Axus: Richard Epcar Libraria: Valerie Arem Aria: Ashly Burch April: Ashly Burch Ariels: Valerie Arem Original Man: Jamieson Price Answer: Derek Stephen Prince Vernon: Kirk Thornton Miss anyone?
Tsuki Garyuu Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 The Chipp guess was mine. I'll denounce that, since I feel the same way.
werewolfgold Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SU5PFV9b4Kc I think I may have to refer to Potemkin as "Private Meathead" now.
MasterXDrake Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 Good lord English Faust sounds like shit, nigga sounds like Eddy from Ed, Edd n Eddy with a echo effect. English Faust is much better than the Japanese Faust.
HoudiniJr100 Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 English Faust is much better than the Japanese Faust. no one shall diss the great Kaiji Tang.
BlackYakuzu94 Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SU5PFV9b4Kc I think I may have to refer to Potemkin as "Private Meathead" now. Sol really just said "Live and Let die" pls.
Zazz Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 no one shall diss the great Kaiji Tang. He's pretty hilarious in the Skullgirls VA playthrough videos. And he linked that Faust super montage on his twitter a few days ago.
Tsuki Garyuu Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 Well, with Xrd out, VA's are coming out the woodwork. Apparently Sol is Christopher Guerrero.
HoudiniJr100 Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 Well, with Xrd out, VA's are coming out the woodwork. Apparently Sol is Christopher Guerrero. huh, never heard much of him o_o
LeDom Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 huh, never heard much of him o_o I think he started out doing abridged series.
Vulcan422 Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 Indeed he did. Abridged fans may know him better as GeneralIVanVA, playing Cooler/Dr. Gero in DBZ Abridged and Enrico Maxwell in Hellsing Ultimate Abridged.
Jocelot Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 In that case, props for him. Warms my heart to see an aspiring voice actor making his way!
Tsuki Garyuu Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 Indeed he did. Abridged fans may know him better as GeneralIVanVA, playing Cooler/Dr. Gero in DBZ Abridged and Enrico Maxwell in Hellsing Ultimate Abridged. It's incredibly weird in retrospect after all the times we've heard him. Well, props for getting a main character role, but only for that. lol
HoudiniJr100 Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 ...So the fact we got Abridged!Enrico Maxwell playing the likes of Sol Badguy I give props to him
BlackYakuzu94 Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 That's a pretty sweet deal, hope he loves the role.
Domayv Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 Indeed he did. Abridged fans may know him better as GeneralIVanVA, playing Cooler/Dr. Gero in DBZ Abridged and Enrico Maxwell in Hellsing Ultimate Abridged. Unfortunately, Chris said on his twitter account that he doesn't voice Sol, though he did mention that it would be cool that if he voiced him.
Poultrygeist Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 English Faust is much better than the Japanese Faust. Ewwww fuck no lol.
Tsuki Garyuu Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 Unfortunately, Chris said on his twitter account that he doesn't voice Sol, though he did mention that it would be cool that if he voiced him. We're never gonna know, ever. It's Hamaza all over again.
Vulcan422 Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 More like Naoto. Until we know for sure who it is, we'll just go with the assumption that Sol's VA is a state-of-the-art voice synthesizer robot.
Tokkan Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 https://twitter.com/matthewmercer/status/545160511034118144 Matthew Mercer confirmed that he is Zato. https://twitter.com/YuriLowenthal/status/544612488822935553 Yuri Lowenthal confirmed that he is Bedman.
werewolfgold Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MWwhpbhPSE0 "Ram-lethal Valen-teen" lol dead Also, did she call I-No "Evo"? It kind of sounded like it. I like English May. Sounds more like a 22-year-old.
BloodWolF Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 Thanks for posting that. I was curious what the English voice would sound like, but now I'm glad I bought her Japanese one. I like her play on their names and the overall voice better, personally. I don't know why, but Sato-san is my favorite for Zato. It's just such a generic name. Also, the "jerk" for Sin is a play on his name Sin Kisuke => shinkikusai(辛気臭い). Just a little little added trivia.
SoWL Posted December 17, 2014 Author Posted December 17, 2014 Thanks for posting that. I was curious what the English voice would sound like, but now I'm glad I bought her Japanese one. Psst, you actually bought both. Just change the language settings.
