Ah, yeah, sorry for clarifying, I meant his force break. And I must have missed it on page 4, you know how your brain kind of sees things but doesn't really register... Thanks anyways! EDIT: After seeing that Force Break, and the mega Abusability of f5S (that player loved to use it), I can't wait for Accent Core. Not that I could have before. :) I'm loving some of these changes, after seeing them in action.

If you haven't seen those yet there are two good AC Zappa videos there for download. Raoh mode jH is sweet. I hadn't seen it used much in AC vids till I watched these.

From seeing a few of those downloaded videos, Zappa is finally coming up in the ranks....at least to me he is...he is looking quite abusive and will fuck someone up really badly...:eng101:

Heh, let's not jump the gun too soon. Be happy if Zappa is at least mid-tier. :P But from the looks of it, naked Zappa isn't totally helpless anymore, especially if he is dictating the advantage. The stagger on CH far 5S is very helpful to potentially land 3 free orbs. And as an oki game, it appears early far 5S on block has frame adv.! lol, still though, you know what they say about old dogs. I'm not gonna set myself up for disappointment. :P

Yes, true...I'm expecting him to be a solid mid tier character in this game. Hopefully that's not overly optimistic. I heard that most japanese think he is B tier now but that's just hearsay and it is still early. no CH is needed for the stagger on f.S they just need to get hit by it while it's on the ground :)

it'd be great if Zappa gets to at least low B tier. also, as an avid Zappa player, it's a shame his 6H had been screwed up [the whole knockdown only on CH bugs me]. however, it's nice to know Zappa appears to be getting better each game.

I just want to say that being able to combo 63214HS from 5HS (IF it's still in the final version of Accent Core) might be a HUGE improvement... Zappa doesn't really have a meaningful Sword bread and butter that comes from 2K, so every once in a while, you can 2K, 5S, 5HS, 63214HS... which gains you orbs! OH, and apparently it causes a wall bounce so you can combo further? Does anyone know if his new aerial sword move gains you any more orbs? I really hated the fact that you can no longer combo 63214HS from 6HS, but now it appears you can combo into this move again. So that's a really good change. Combine 2K with your occasional 5D-ing (which is still pretty hard to see since they upped the 5D speed in Slash, and I assume it's still the same speed), and we really do indeed see a vastly improved Zappa.

I've been seeing a lot of that 'Blue' player lately. Also, did anyone notice the new orbs? I like the way the look now. Or maybe it's a mix of low quality and recolor thats making it look different to me... Who knows. EDIT: Ghost HS toss bounces off the wall now. It's the Zap vs May at the bottom, in the corner, the ghost bounces just above her head and comes back down. I wonder if S does too...

Everything I've heard points to Zappa being able to combo into Sword Swipe then followup with air combo after the bounce. The tradeoff being that it only hits once now (Ithink for only 1 orb) but it is so worth it to have the sword do real, reliable damage instead of just off counterhits and with tension and still really only good for orbs. Basically, everything is looking better for Zappa so long as everyone else's improvements don't outpace him. But I'm still kind of upset about 6HS, if Eddie can have is UBs back and do damage again, why can't Zappa have one really strong setup?

Unfortunately its because Zappa's 2D, 6HS was considered a loop. It stinks I know. I'd be nice if there was some sort of knock down that Zappa gained to compensate for the loss.

Oh and Ukyo the final version of slash does have Zappa's sword being able to combo after 5HS. :grin: Also I read somewhere that his 5D is around two frames longer now. So its not as fast. :blue:

Does anyone know if his new aerial sword move gains you any more orbs?

Sadly it does not. :( It still looks like a great move to end combos with if nothing else...seems like a decent air to air as well from what I've seen.

I guess the spinny sword knockdown is compensation for the removal of the knockdown on 6hs. I guess in a way maybe, but that f.s move is pretty sweet though....the opponent slips on zappas throw/spit. Why does that remind me of Bo-ry-cho *misspelled* from the Mortal Kombat series and how he has sorta the same move? Not to jump subjects...but it really does though.

Be nice if his 2D really had more range...cause his 2K has more range than his 2D right now...which is kinda lol... AC zappa keeps sounding better and better :)

Yeah and most if not all of the Zappa's that I've seen in the videos are played by really good people so we are able to see what Zappa is really capable of. The combos I've seen with Raoh's j HS are are just too sick. I could cry with joy!!!!!!!

you guys didnt know his sweep had more reach? i read that in a changelog a long time ago

I just read that convo and I imagined Ryan excitedly saying all of that out loud and smiling a lot. Also drinking a beer and wearing a nice shirt.

Did not know the unsummon was also an overhead. Oh man.

I think there is a replacement dog bite infinate. i saw it in the butterfly video. it involves f.5s

and about the trip on the vomit. Norimaro from marvel super heros vs street fighter(jap) had a launcher where he sliped on a banana and if him falling missed you the banana landed on the floor and could hit you low.

EDIT: PS. Im sorry but mortal kombat really sucks.
