Hecatom Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 It has been announced that it will be finally released http://indiegames.com/2013/07/nidhogg_finally_releasing_this.html http://www.pcgamer.com/2013/07/23/2011s-nidhogg-is-finally-getting-released-this-year/ Man this games looks hype, Nidhogg for main game for EVO 2014
shtkn Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 FINALLY this game was really fun to mash when i played it at evo last year. dunno how good it'd be for "serious play" but it's fun for laughs and drunken matches (probably)
Hecatom Posted January 5, 2014 Author Posted January 5, 2014 Nidhogg Coming To Steam On January 13th With Single-Player http://indiestatik.com/2014/01/02/nidhogg/
NeoStrayCat Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 A fencing fighter? Now that's more weird than Divekick!
TAI-X Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 I liked it better when it was called Great Swordsman. In 1984.
proxy psi Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 http://store.steampowered.com/app/94400/ 11.99$ on steam with great reviews.
Soviet Bear Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 Local play so far is amazing, but online play can lag out in the oddest ways. Had situations where I seemingly killed someone, saw the animation, then it turned out I was dead all along. Still, had some great matches.
Lord Pwnge18 Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 This game is fucking godlike. Way too much fun.

Yeah, netplay seems to have major host advantage- host may get slight input delay but the client gets rollbacks like mad. I was playing someone on the east coast and, as the client, I couldn't even jump over the pits; I'd stab the other guy twice and watch him fall twice only to then die myself. When I hosted, however, it was free.
Xtra_Zero Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 I'm having trouble configuring a controller for it. Anyone else have problems with this?
FerrellJ Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 I'm having trouble configuring a controller for it. Anyone else have problems with this? It appears to use XInput rather than DirectInput, meaning many (most) normal controllers that aren't 360 pads won't be detected by it natively. You'll have to use xpadder or something to map the keyboard inputs to your controller.
