BladeOfJustice7 Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 Yeah, I found them, that reiteration of what Dandyism means by Zato was pretty interesting. Dandyism seems to play a huge part in the Guild. It's written on Venom, it's written on Slayer (on his shoes), and Zato-1 follows it's rules. I wouldn't be surprised if it's written on him too. And it's always written right under the Assassin's Guild logo too... Chipp is hella funny (BUSHIDO!!!), Zato is one hella nice guy now, Ky is still a badass, Bedman talks a lot but says some interesting things it was pretty funny how he quickly got on Sol's nerves.

It explains more about Zato and the Assassin's Guild, than tells what Millia personally has been doing lately. Many thanks to BladeOfJustice7 for telling where to find the raw... Now if we only had footage from Venom's story, then the arcade mode would almost be complete...

While it could be true that it was an "even match" for that particular fight. 1. Sol wasn't going all out (he never does, not even for Slayer... only Justice and "That Man"). 2. This was Bedman's "dream world" so he controls the rules of that place. If they were fighting on other terms and not under Bedman's "dream influence" (on par with NasuVerse's "Reality Marbles") , then I think Sol would've won that one.

That would actually make sense, considering if Bedman could sense Sol's power, and try to make it equal to his or a bit lowered. Then it could be possible it was fair, but otherwise I think Sol would've beaten him.

I don't know why their rivals, I guess its just Sol does things his way and doesn't like people telling him what to do. Ky on the other hand always gets on Sol's nerves for his "boy scout" routine.
Master Of Chaos Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 By XRD the rivalry has more or less become friendly competition between the two, but in past games it was because they usually ended up getting in each other's way. Sol looks down on Ky for his naivety and sense of justice and often has to put him in his place when they meet. Ky never forgave Sol for the Fireseal incident and hates being beaten and treated as inferior by him. And like Kyle said, Sol does his own thing and doesn't listen to others, something that causes friction when Sol gets himself involved into Ky's investigations and screws with him. In Accent Core's storyline, Ky has a final duel with Sol to settle any lingering animosity, and the two seem to come out of it as friends, or at least with more respect for each other.

I actually remember this. And then Sol raises Ky's son. Character development.

Blade Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 Ky and Sol initially had trouble getting along as soldiers within the Sacred Order. Ky was about maintaining structure and order and providing HOPE for the people... but he was young and came off as demanding. Sol was a rebel and wanted to be FREE of his fate as a Gear and doesn't like rules... their butting heads on ideals was inevitable. Sol's "stealing" the Fireseal is just what everyone thinks, actually he fought Kliff Undersn to earn it as a "parting gift". And Kliff didn't hold back on him either. Sol gets in Ky's way over investigations on Gears over the years and even in regards to the Post-War Administration Bureau (which we "think" is linked to the Senato). PWAB tries to capture Dizzy several times (I-No tries to kill her too) so Ky ends up having to protect her and while doing that they fall in love and Ky gets a job as an international diplomat. Later on the Senato force Ky in the position of King of Illyria in order to put a leash on him, and even try to blackmail him by threatening his family if he doesn't comply. Ky is forced in to a corner and gets depressed since he couldn't afford to let Dizzy and Sin to be exposed to the public as Gears when most people thought of Gears as monsters. Dizzy calls Sol in to talk to Ky, and Ky basically is trying to "confess his sins to God" (because nothing else makes sense) and Sol being his atheist self basically tells Ky he's wasting his time... The two fight, but even though Ky keeps getting beat down, he keeps on getting back up worse than before... eventually Sin steps in and breaks up the fight, even though he's not fond of his dad not spending time with his mom and him. Ky tells Sol his problem and asks him to look after Sin "for a while" (at least until the Senato are dealt with) and Sol agrees (probably out of consideration for Dizzy). Sol raises Sin (in a rough way), meanwhile the Gears start getting sublimated (dismantled) by Valentine... Dizzy is one of the victims but Ky manages to halt the process by stopping time around her by using up the Thundersealed Sword's power (he isn't quite sure how he did it, just that he did). Then Valentine basically raids the castle looking for gears but can't find Dizzy and seals Ky up in a magic seal with Raven looking on... Then the events of GG2 Overture actually start (The Baptism 13 Incident)...

When Ky found him and tried to stop him, he beat the shit out of him, then got the hell out of dodge. Kliff let him go (Whether or not Kliff tests Sol is dependent on the episode-In Order Sol's Accent Core story he lets him go without a fuss), and was intending to give it to Sol later on anyway, but that doesn't change the fact that he still made off with it. He was also ready to fight Kliff for real when he caught up to Sol, before Kliff said he was cool with it.

In fact, I'm pretty sure the number of people who are aware of that can be counted on one hand. I couldn't tell you who they are, but That Man is most likely one of them. You can debate the technicalities all you want, but the fact of the matter is that Sol took something that was in the possession of the Holy Knights, which they considered a sacred treasure, without permission (How it got there is irrelevant), trashed a Captain level officer when he got caught, and deserted. That's not going to endear you to anyone. Kliff even points out that the other Holy Knights won't necessarily see things the way he does, especially not Ky.
