AchedSphinx Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014 Continuum Shift came out one year after Calamity Trigger. That just makes it worse, unfortunately.
FluxWaveZ Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014 That just makes it worse, unfortunately. How does that make it worse? One game came out one year after its predecessor. The other comes out two years after its predecessor. How does it make sense to compare the prices of the two?
Poultrygeist Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014 Ultimax came out 2 years after the original either way you slice it, arcade to arcade or console to console. I still won't be paying full price for it though, sprites need to be made obsolete. Xrd is proof positive of that.
shoryusatsu999 Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014 wat. No. 2D always has a place in gaming, especially fighting games. D.R.F. 1

How does it make sense to compare the prices of the two? You can compare the two actually. BBCT to BBCS is one year. P4U to P4U2 is two years. It is worse because the amount of content added is similar, yet the price is different. It took them two years to create the same amount of content it took BBCS to have in one, yet the one that took longer costs more. I know production costs have probably increased in the past few years, but the 20 dollar hike doesn't sit well with me. Like I said before, I'll still probably end up getting it, just that this issue will nag me like no other. Looking at it another way, for me to accept P4U2 to be 59.99$ it would need to have 50% more content than it already has. So 7 new characters, 7 more stages and the alternates, I don't really care for the story but I guess 50% more of that, three extra modes, etc etc.
D.R.F. Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014 Games have always been 60$ and stuff anyway. I bought cp at 60$ (plus import costs) and ill survive paying 60$ for p4u

Not all of P4U2's currently console-exclusive additions and changes are currently known. Wait until it's out before you start condemning it for having a worse price-to-feature ratio than a game that came out a couple of years ago. Strife and PK Gaming 2

But, I honestly doubt they'll actually add 50% more than they're already shown.
Strife Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014 Fair enough. But, I honestly doubt they'll actually add 50% more than they're already shown. Well, ok I guess, if that's what you want. You better be ready to wait a bit since I doubt they'll lower the price anytime soon after release. It probably has to do with the "Persona" in the title.

It probably has to do with the "Persona" in the title. I'm not really against it that much. I mean, I like Persona a lot considering how active I am in the Mitsuru forums. It probably isn't the "Persona" in the title, there could be a lot of factors involved that many of us are unaware of, who knows. But I got to thinking about that 50% thing and considering P4U2 is nearing gold status, or is already at it, there may not be much more for them to introduce to the game. So we get what we get. Either way, it'll nag me a bit. I never thought I'd be one of those people complaining about the price of a game. Ironically, another game by Atlus that peeved me a bit was SMTIV the digital version being the same price as physical (physical came with a crap ton of stuff, but both were 49.99). Strife 1
FluxWaveZ Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 Ken Amada confirmed in latest Famitsu. Fights as one alongside Koromaru. RWA Announcer, Strife, RurouniLoneWolf and 2 others 5
Tokkan Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 Ken Amada confirmed in latest Famitsu. Fights as one alongside Koromaru. That's cool. I didn't think Koromaru would ever work as a standalone character anyway so this suits me fine. Wonder how they'll handle the whole 2 personas thing, though. Two separate sets of persona cards? Can simultaneously attack? SB skills are fusion skills? I'm guessing Ken and Koromaru trailer on Thursday alongside pages added for Elizabeth, Sho and MINAZUKI. RWA Announcer 1
Strife Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 Ken Amada confirmed in latest Famitsu. Fights as one alongside Koromaru. That's awesome! I didn't wanted Koromaru to be playable by himself so this is perfect. SEES is now in full force! I wonder how they'll play too. Maybe like Shadow Labrys and Asterius?
RurouniLoneWolf Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 Great to see he's finally confirmed. I'm looking forward to seeing screenshots of his gameplay. Now the only thing left I'm very curious about for the console release is if we'll be getting all the new netplay features they added for BBCP.
DeathArcana Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 Were there any screen shots r was it just a confirmation
LeDom Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 I'm looking forward to screenshots of his older self, period. I wonder if Koromaru some kind of assist character, or if the two of them are played simultaneously like the Ice Climbers from Smash Bros or those two siblings from Chaos Code. Either way, now we have every (still living) playable character from Persona 3 and 4, the hype keeps growing!
Balguna Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 There's still Fuuka! And I guess Metis technically, but I doubt they'd bring her back.

Starlight777 Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 Ken Amada confirmed in latest Famitsu. Fights as one alongside Koromaru. I wasn't expecting him and Koromaru to be one character at all. To be honest I wasn't expecting Koromaru to be in playable in any form either. This is a pleasant surprise, though I wonder how the heck this is going to work since they both have a Persona. If it's a Carl and Ada type deal I'll honestly just be looking forward to Rise instead.
Strife Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 (edited) If it's a Carl and Ada type deal I'll honestly just be looking forward to Rise instead. Nah, this is Persona 4 Arena. Home of auto-combos and 2 button DPs. I bet his gameplay will be a lot easier than Carl's. Edited May 20, 2014 by Strife
Justice7541 Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 Maybe he'll be like Sagat where he's ripped with an eyepatch and shoots Koromaru-shaped fireballs.
AchedSphinx Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 The only characters that remain are Shinji...Minato...Metis (though I suppose Shadow Aigis could be considered Metis) and Igor! I think Shinji and Minato could exist in shadow form. Unless, of course, if a person dies their shadow does as well. Not sure if there's any lore confirmation of this.
RadRed Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 ..I can not wait to see the Ken and Koromaru tag team. My hype for this game just shot through the damn roof.
TPPR10 Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 About time that Ken (and Koromaru I guess) got confirmed. Cannot wait to hear more of them soon. Hopefully Famitsu will have a good info on how he plays, and maybe Atlus will give him a character trailer this week.
