When I have to leave in the middle of a match because someone called me/needs my help. I just feel bad for the other player, this happens often for me.

pet peeve: being salty. It gets the better of me. It makes me sad.

Relius and Carl mirrors and Rel vs Carl MUs are fun to watch, what with 4 entities doing battle at all times. It's kinda like watching 4 player super smash bros.

Really all my annoyances with actual characters are only highly mobile ones. Or myself for not being indifferent about losing in a casual match. Why do I get salty over casuals? Why can I not have fun if I don't body a good player? Stop being so competetive me xP

That was suuuuper epic, out games lagged because of the extreme hitstop.

 

I find Casuals are as fun as you make em'. Outside of tourneys and super serious matches you should be "learning" and "getting better." So what I do to have fun is put additional goals to my match, like way back when I wanted at least one 236C>Rapid combo per round so I could learn when and where they should be used and also improve my execution. Now I get 5B>236C>rapid>665B>2C pretty consistently and it's helped me in  serious fights. Of course I still co-prioritize winning, but if I lose, I still get to go "Hey one outta two ain't bad" then keep playing salt-free.

 

If I don't reach ether goal it's because I literally was shut down because the opponent drastically outplayed me using an unfamiliar character/set-ups and now I have some valuable footage of to look over, then subsequently thwart. Really casuals is a win-win-win for me.

 

For the next few matches my goal is landing those special 236C>3C/5B corner combos I invented. I want to be able to use those on the fly. When I'm done with those I have the fuzzy and 41236B>4D>5D>5B combos to look forward to!

 

Moral of the story is, at our level we should prioritize learning and improving over winning matches. It'll save you many trips to the grocery store's worth in salt, and ultimately help you for when you only need prioritize victory, like in tourneys.

I really wish Sony would just take psn down for a few days. Do some REAL maintenance pn this stupid lagfest thats been happening lately. Maybe he just had potato internet (which this could be foxed by your connection to someone not being based by location -.-) or psn is screwed up bad. So either ark needs to change its way of displaying connection status (I swear if you say it wouldnt make a difference, I'm going yo orochi stomp you xP) or some maintenance.

Also, hitboxes. I know 5B>6C is unsafe as hell, but when you have respect and they're lettin you throw it out, it better hit. The thing moves me.like 3 feet forward, yet Ragna's stupid crouching hitbox was "nah".

Plus, Koko's a button should just be a shortcut to barrier. 2/5/6/j.A all removed. Balanced. xD

New pet peeve: When there's lag for exactly enough time to make me drop my corner combo that could potentially turn the tides of the match.

I swear, it lasted exactly from 214B's startup til what should have been 5B's startup. (Jin)

Unless you're terumi or Ragna you're only gonna get maybe 120 heat throughout the entire match.

I don't care. Dp's are braindead enough as it is (unless youve got an exceptionally bad one). I've never liked the idea of dp's though, especially the ones that are like "use me and get oki!" Also why are so many reversal DDs, DDs that cost 50 heat to use, so much worse than some meterless dps?
