Wish I had beaten Brian so I could have a good comeback for this. Or at least gone to last round. So much facepalm over that mis-input drive... (not that I should've been doing fullscreen drives anyway, was just abusing mu inexperience)

I need to change my approach to Kagura matches, anyway. E.g. his C moves should never be used unless I have a way to convert them into big damage or good oki (CH or meter). Among lots of other improvements.

Not to take away from Ryan but was that bait really intentional? It kinda looked like Raynex panic bursted the j.C and Ryan was still in the air when he bursted so he couldn't really combo at that point anyways.

Speaking of Raynex, wow. I know he's a very fundamentally strong player but damn, that Az is solid.

Wow, XDest is backdashing you all day, Ryan. :O It looks like XDest has the advantage in all situations: offense, neutral, and even defense 'cause he always slips away. I doubt you'll be able to beat him at neutral simply because of the matchup, so I guess you'll need to figure out how to escape his offense and prevent him from escaping during your offense.

Pretty sure he baited the burst after the previous hit he got on Raynex, too. Lemme take a 2nd look... yup, it was definitely a bait:

Earlier he hit Raynex with j.2C and didn't dash in for a combo 'cause he was baiting the burst. Then he landed the j.C and didn't dash in again. Not sure if Raynex noticed the 1st burst bait and figured Ryan wouldn't try it again, or if he didn't notice and now regrets it.

(Reminds me of your burst baiting, actually: if the 1st bait is unsuccessful, try to bait it again.)
