Hecatom Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 http://indiegames.com/2013/10/freeware_pick_street_fighter_w.html A new indie fighting game not based on popular anime or manga franchises is a difficult find, but I think this one qualifies. The free Windows trial version of 稲歩町ダイナマイトボム (roughly translated as rice-plant walking city Dynamite Bomb) is now available to poke and prod, with four superhuman characters for you to experiment with. bomb1.pngI'm partial to the cyborg and book weilding characters (the latter reminds me a bit of The Paper from R.O.D.), but all four are well animated. I haven't spent too much time with the mechanics, but it has almost all the staples: weak and strong punch and kick buttons, back for block, dashing back and forth (and in mid air), two-in-ones, recoveries, guard cancels, counters, special and 2-meter super moves, knock-ups, air juggles, and more demoed in the three screenshots included in the game download. For each character, some special moves have a follow-up, 1-meter super move that is done with a simple directional tap and button press, when the normal special move connects. All of the characters moves are outlined in an illustration also in the game download manual folder. It doesn't feel right judging the game too much now in its tentative version. This post was more to get the word out that there's a new, pretty, and possibly complex fighting game to try for free. If you want to see Dynamite Bomb in action, click on this NICONICO video link http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm21986025 otherwise download the game here: http://www.freem.ne.jp/dl/win/5681
Fujiwara Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 Downloading this game. I'd love a new game to fuck around in.
RifleAvenger Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 (edited) Was watching the video, and I noticed what seemed to be the command list showed only button presses and single direction inputs. Are there no quarter circle etc. moves, or did I just see wrong/misunderstand? EDIT: Ok, so there are quarter inputs. For some reason though, sometimes when I do a qcf movement, I get the qcb attack or vice versa. Edited October 9, 2013 by RifleAvenger
RifleAvenger Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 (edited) I'm getting an error message trying to run the game. The logos all play, but then the error pops up. What do I need to do to get this to run properly? EDIT: Got it working. Edited October 9, 2013 by RifleAvenger
SoWL Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 How do I turn on practice mode? It's in the demo video, but I couldn't find it in the game itself. The game doesn't look like anything special, though I like the character designs and their names (Dairokuten Mana? Sold!). The animation has its weird points (Mana's walking animation is unnaturally fast for her walking speed) and two of Mana's moves have overlapping inputs, so the game still got some room to grow better.
caiooa Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 pressing light punch + light kick in the versus mode makes the meter and life unlimited, and it appears in the lower part of the screen the sign "practice". But the timer isn't turned to infinite....it's a little anoying. But loved a lot of things about this game. The musics are awesome
caiooa Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 hum...is the complete version out? http://www.dlsite.com/home/announce/=/product_id/RJ132032.html
Celerity Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 You can't buy it with an English account, or am I missing something?
Aloci Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 Anybody got a way to buy the full version? The game looks interesting.
Komidol Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 Anybody got a way to buy the full version? The game looks interesting. Yeah, the game was just fully released into English yesterday here: http://www.playism-games.com/games/inahodynamite/ I did some of the testing at Playism for this game. Made sure the page has all the character charts translated and game mechanic translations. Let me know if you want similar games like this done in English in the future or tweet https://twitter.com/playismen - they're good guys. They'll be at PAX Boston if you wanna talk to them yourselves.
