superclack Posted June 8, 2008 Posted June 8, 2008 Taking into account things like guard bar and tension required for damage.
Mechanica Posted June 8, 2008 Posted June 8, 2008 A.B.A. I would say is higher damage, just because her bread and butters are her massive damage combos, while Slayer's B&Bs are technically things like 2k, 2s, 2d. Slayer needs more meter to do his crazy damage combos, with things like BBU, while A.B.A. can do 5s, 2hs, IAD jS jHS orbs, rejump jS jHS jD orbs, and even another rep on some people.
EasyModeNub Posted June 8, 2008 Posted June 8, 2008 ABA probably has higher average dmg thanks to her BnB combos also being her high dmg combos. In terms of damage potential though, Slayer is the alpha and omega.
4r5 Posted June 8, 2008 Posted June 8, 2008 Pound for pound, Slayer is the heavier hitter. ABA can't match the kind of damage Slayer can get with no guard gauge modification or tension. Give both of them equal adjustments to gauge and tension and ABA will catch up quickly. That is, if we're talking about a pure combo contest. If you wanna talk actual play. ABA builds the gauge easier then Slayer. But Slayer has better ways of hitting you. blah blah blah, etc
Hellmonkey Posted June 8, 2008 Posted June 8, 2008 Definitely slayer if you take into account the time ABA spends getting into moroha/maintaining it. As for ease of actually getting the damage in, I'd say moroha ABA is much easier to hit people with (and combo) than slayer. Mechanica: don't forget that ABA has to blow meter after rekkas to combo, and that slayer won't need any for huge damage if he manages to get them airborne via anti-air, corner 6p, random air hit confirms etc. With meter, BBU and DOT are definitely higher damage ABA's options as wel.
