Goddamn, Relius definitely has the advantage in this matchup.

I'm having a hard time getting in to do any damage, any advice? It doesn't seem like I can get in close enough with Ignis around, and even when she's down it's extremely difficult to capitalize without getting backhanded.

Appparently 6B is invulnerable to Relius' gears DP. Or at least it's invulnerable when I use it.

I feel that the only way to beat relius is to have him on the offensive and block well until he has used up his ignis meter. Hes scary cause of the space he controls with ignis. Play defensive until he withdraws her the total offensive to try to get some damage. Patience is the virtue here. Learn to block that damnable overhead.

If you respect a Relius until Ignis is withdrawn, most times it'll be far too late we're trained to do tricky stuff. Use that speed of yours, hit Ignis when you can, or dash through tus. If you grab Relius he's forced to dismiss Ignis even if he techs it. If you have meter and need to get in Messenga his zoning attempts.

Be wary of your messenga range...can't count the times I've been juuuuust a hair short. Watch for led ley too. Some normals catch it, and some finish quick enough to grab him.

Poke Ignis with a non drive move if he sends a val tus at you. You can hit her before she starts the slashes. Drive moves don't stop her. 6c is a good way to catch Relius thinking val tus is free pressure.

I THINK the buzz saw counts as a projectile? You may be able to cancel its hitbox with a drive move? Needs testing.

His air to air is better...his zoning is a problem...his pressure is better...getting in and staying there is a difficult task. His 2c is a good anti air, be careful of using j2d often. Jd also extends your hitbox, so he can tag you before you reach him with it.
