I fought under the name Haglenator today out of necessity, not a whim or anything of that sort. Haglenator is a close friend of mine and a pretty slick Hakumen (offline that is.) I noticed people respect you a lot less on round start when your square is lime green...

 

Anywho ggs to all who I played! Fun night.

 

Oh and Koopa, I told him you're a Haku with quite some renown and he's dying to try an' fight you sometime. (It'd be sweet for me if you could teach him a thing or five about being a good haku, in beatdown format of course)

 

Also shoutouts to the Terumi who turbo-mashed then RQ'd and sent hatemail on my friends first netplay experience when you got astraled. You not only provided the highlight of the evening for our party guests, but you pretty much summed up the essence of netplay in that sequence of actions. Thank you.

Can someone please explain to me exactly what are these apparently douche-esque manners of playing that Hondo employs that garners him all this hate? I've seen said hate all the more frequently as of late and can't help but be curious.

His connection is terrible and he purposely chooses a laggy stage or auto/random stage.

 

Its more that than his playstyle.

 

 

 

Why do people not set a 1bar connection limit. There are people that consistantly have bad connections with everyone that always seem to join whatever room i'm in.

last time I tried setting a bar limit, it prevented anyone from joining my lobby, even people I always have 4 bars with

Its the fact that he's usually laggy coupled with his favorite method of fighting which is get a life lead and sit back build a laser fortress. he doesnt do it as much as he does now as he did in extend, but it's hella annoying and generally not fun to play against

I don't even bother playing if it lags. It's not worth the aggravation.

Well assuming you're both from MI, I could try using Hakumen next we play if the connection doesn't suck. I don't like using Hakumen online much anymore because I keep getting laggy connections (too many fake 3 bars) and I get so salty when that happens.

I see. I appreciate the explanation, SWD and Reyn, and now that you've described to me I'm sure I've seen him use that tactic at least once in some casuals preceding one of the recent AniClash tournaments. I've always enjoyed fighting Mu so a part of me does wanna get the chance to take him on one of these days, but his apparently terrible connection doesn't inspire much desire beyond that.
