Henjin Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 Nah the number of ppl is not really the issue it could be a 3 man lobby. The point i was trying to make was if i screw up, i want a do over. But i have to wait. Not only that, but i want another match with the same guy and hope that he plows through the whole loddy to do so. And the chance of that happening is 1/7. But eventually, he gets beat then leaves and i wont get my salty runback till after a few hours to a week. But by then i wouldnt even care anymore.

Dude you literally JUST SAID - you hate having to wait 6+ games to get your run back... how is that NOT different from hosting a smaller room so you only have to wait 2-3 games tops to get your runback? Leme tell you how it IS different - you will still feel the burning urge to blast that guy who got his win on you by the time its your turn again for 2 reasons (with the smaller room) 1. Youll get your shot again sooner and the probability of your "emotional cooling" will not be as likely as if you had to wait 5-6 games This is just a fact. 2. The probability of the skilled player staying in your room longer because he/she does not have to wait for 5-6+ games, is higher as well. I can say with some certainty that the room you hosted the other night with me, nineball, stayfree, and misc~ retained its player base pretty much only because we all took turns bodying the room and had the chance to fight other skilled players AND WIN, while ... everyone else was wood for our warmup fire for the real matches. 4-5 size rooms are really just fine in terms of size and as the host you should just be more discerning in who you allow to attend - its ok to kick undesirable players due to connection or lack of skill/to great of skill or misc in order to achieve the proper room balance you enjoy. Still doesn't make sense to me to play someone who hates your guts. Get good enough (or play the right characters) and that turns into alot more ppl than you'd think - and pretty much becomes a moot point. Also Im fairly sure Cross'/henjin's irritation has more to do with her joining OTHER lobbies and abusing system mechanics there to boot the winner of the match to the bottom of the list. Ive seen her/you/WHATEVER do it more than a few times and its frankly disgusting - and until the return of players to the online lobby will it be partially unavoidable as many players who arent DL members dont understand what happened and dont know to punish that kind of poor sportsmanship. Then Players will continue to complain/post about the poor sportsmanship here because that is what this thread is for - Amongst other things

someonewhodied Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 you two do the same thing lololololol with kokonoe i teleport on wakeup knowing i'll get hit because i'd rather eat one more combo and get out of the corner than potentially get hit with 2+ more combos from mixup. Unless I'm playing koko, i have a DP with 50+ heat, or i have a distortion with invul and i see a messed up safejump i always block on wakeup. Hes literally pressing 5A or 5C on wakeup.

I was talking about joining a lobby that i know whose host doesn't want to play me. Also kind of beating a dead horse here but im not jean. My name is manny not pam. So yea.... Don't know where thats coming from. Also some people (including my self) don't want to play you because of connection issues. I see you guys with open rooms some times and I never join precisely for that reason. But thats my reasoning. She might just not like you because of xy and z. So thats why I didn't get why people were joining if you expect to be kicked.

But here let me rephrase : You could have certainly walked away with more wins than you had if you exercised more restraint when it comes to pressing buttons on wakeup - You even were doing some pretty interesting top of the screen OD combos! I play hazama too, I know the temptation of mashing out his 2a/hotenjin/buttons... Also did you happen to see that Duncan guy literally shit-talk everyone around himself? wtf was that all about?
