toanenadiz Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 That's usually the natural reaction when you can't block certain mix-ups…but there are times you just can't get away =/ You give up on that round (or burst out) and then focus on making your neutral/pressure next time (ie not doing whatever made you get caught). Always gotta focus on winning.
abadlime Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 As Hazama, you need to really be careful about what you do after you block a w5C. If the Valk opts for a wolf brake j.A and you houtenjin, he can OS it, 4D back and then 6B FC punish you. This is why I highly suggest barrier blocking against Valk to really limit his offensive options. He might be too far out to use wolf brake j.A and from there you can determine whether to jump out or poke him out of 6D > j.A. It's a mindgame thing and you never know what the Valk is gonna do after w5C. As Tsubaki, just keep DP'ing if you have charge and ESPECIALLY if they're real auto pilot with their pressure, using the w5C > 6D > j.A > j.C stuff. Either that and you can risk getting hit (which of course is kinda unlikely), or you can try to block and stay in the corner. Times like this I wish I was in the US but I have my buddy Dreize to deal with you guys. Yeah, i learned the hard way about using houtenjin, but it doesn't stop me anymore =0 And i actually have no issues using tsubaki against valks. Ask dreize. DP all day (with charges I'm not silly =P). You give up on that round (or burst out) and then focus on making your neutral/pressure next time (ie not doing whatever made you get caught). Always gotta focus on winning. Of course. I don't even like giving up rounds, which is why i'm figuring out how to get this match up down.
NecroTheReaper Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 Honestly, my issue every time was I'd always fall for his Oki every time. I could usually block his mixup well enough, but when he got that knockdown, I'd either fall for wolf tick grab setup or 2C :/ Oh how I wish led ley was viable in every situation.
FR05tB1t3 BOB Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 GGs howling moon, i'm sorry i wasn't much of a challenge to you i suck at this game ._.
BoltofShadow Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 (edited) GGs arcade. Valk makes me super salty still. Even when it's not Tesno or Aki I still will forever get blown up. Then again the same can be said for anytime I fight Tsubaki and Makoto. EDIT: It's now turned to the point I changed my Sig. Edited December 8, 2013 by BoltofShadow
Goldchampion200 Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 GGs to everyone I played with. Played my first good Terumi and got semi-bodied since I dunno how to fight him. Played my first good plat and just got straight up bodied.
Kriegdrache Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 Shoutouts to lobby mode for not letting me or OmegaPutin duke it out. I wanted the Haz/Haku mu too. Fuck. It wasn't muh internets either cause I went on P4A after and everything was hunky dory. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-qdhp1YhIsY This now plays in my head everytime I try to find games, because it's a natural disaster at times.

Then again the same can be said for anytime I fight Tsubaki and Makoto. EDIT: It's now turned to the point I changed my Sig. Honestly I'm kinda free to strong Jins. It was the same way in Extend too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gbMNNsYeVQs My body just doesn't let me bait DP's. Plus j.236D was so good. I seem to have trouble with characters that can put me into blockstun for a good while such as Jin, Relius, Taokaka, etc. I guess it's about time that I learned more about these match-ups, it's more of a personal problem than anything else.
Sil'fer Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 Good games TD and Lovebird. Sorry about the lag TD, it was fun before it happened though.
AchedSphinx Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 GGs Yatsuki and that Carl I played. I seem to be running into a lot of Tsubakis lately. The curse of errol follows me still.
toanenadiz Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 When you start fighting my Nu, you will regret that choice.
Errol Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 I don't think your nu is as good as your izayoi.
toanenadiz Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 My Nu got combos though. My Izayoi doesn't.
Putin Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 Shoutouts to lobby mode for not letting me or OmegaPutin duke it out. I wanted the Haz/Haku mu too. Fuck. It wasn't muh internets either cause I went on P4A after and everything was hunky dory. It's PutinOmega Idk what was up, since I played a good amount of matches afterwards no problem. I'm pretty sure it would be a shitty 0/1 bar though, so it's ok I guess. Also, that light green won't change no matter how many yellows I beat. CP ranking pls
Errol Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 My Nu got combos though. My Izayoi doesn't. which is why your izayoi is amazing and your nu isn't. think if you put the legwork in on izayoi.
BoltofShadow Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 Honestly I'm kinda free to strong Jins. It was the same way in Extend too: I'm not a strong Jin tho lol.
Errol Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 Since when has Toan played Izayoi. Since CP. Very strong if he would learn combos.
Goldchampion200 Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 Someone play me for a bit. Also I still haven't played against a Noel, She who must not be named and Hakumen. If someone could remedy this id appreciate it.

AchedSphinx Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 Since CP. Very strong if he would learn combos. I played my first Izayoi today. Didn't know what I was doing. The Izayoi knew combos and stuff. Somehow I derped some wins Not sure, but uhh, is randomly jumping at neutral a good tactic vs Izayoi? Cuz I kinda did that and it kinda worked. Voldemort is a WOMAN o: ****noe.
Surf Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 It was because I wasn't sure how to approach Nu with her. You didn't derp wins, it was just me being stupid and constantly jumping for some reason. Have to watch the replays and go into training mode. We only did like 3 matches against my Izayoi anyway. As opposed to the 12+ we did when I was Tsubaki
