Errol Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 I've never heard of that kind of grip. comfort is number one, but you might look around the web for ways people hold the stick, maybe in a pad->joystick guide, and try small variations and see if anything clicks.

Don't even get me started on TK214/236s and half circles. or you know, i can just go to any tourney that isn't a big e one :v I do what i want. Thats been my philosophy in gaming forever (and what lets me create stupid combos that shouldn't work in BB) Have you considered changing gates? Im waiting for my octagonal gate to arrive in the mail, because square is a punk bitch and wont let me do double quarter circle motions. EDIT: read your later posts, whoops. someonewhodied Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 Octagonal is even worse. I can't even get diagonals on that thing. I really wish that i had an 8-directional switch joystick so that a circle restrictor would work. I love being able to just slide the joystick for inputs on pad.

BlackYakuzu94 Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 I generally prefer octagonal, yea its not "standard" but I like being able to feel all eight directions, and it makes my double 236's far more easier(Although still a bitch to do in quick succession). I use a Quanba too btw.
Dreize Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 My general stick buying rule is sanwa parts & sanwa balltop. As long as I have those I'm pretty much good, but I do like it to be a bit heavy. The TE body would have been a nice addition too... You've had the stick for what, about 2 weeks now? If QCF motions still feel IMPOSSIBLE then that's probably an issue. Also, if I were you I'd just stick with the square gate. Try not to put too much force into your motions and go for clean & precise inputs instead. Have you been grinding hard in training mode or just netplaying? Because netplaying isn't going to help much here.

I was actually using Litchi before Nu but decided she didn't fuck over Carl as much as Mu did so I decided to use Mu.
