How much damage should I be getting midscreen after a guard break with Dia with using no more meter?

I got 2.6K doing Guard Break > dashing 4B > 2DD > 22A > 6A > j.C > j.2C > 2DD > 214D > 5C > 2C > 623C

It gives oki as well.

@tuka, ah I forgot about gravity. Oh and for her challenge, the most I've gotten is 8.8k. I gave up awhile back. Squeezing out that extra 200 is a mighty tough puzzle.

I use two OD's for 8.8K, technically cheating but challenge mode doesn't care.

Luna, Corner, OD > FC 5C(1) > CT > 236C > 214A > FL > 5C > 236D > FL > 6A > TK Crescent > 6A > 6B > 623C > 2DD > 6C > 236D (OD ends) > OD > 236236D > Dash 6B > 236C > FL > 236C > FL > 632146D

Oh that makes sense now.

Try it this way:

[Luna]OD>5C(FC)>CT>236C>214A>22A>236D>22A>6A>TK Crescent>6A/5B>2C>623C>[5DD?]>2DD>6C>236D>Re-OD>214D>22A>236236D>236C>22A>236C>22A>632146D[Dia]

I try to end all my combos in Dia form since I prefer that form more.

- 5C is crucial after the first 22A otherwise the opponent is too low and any followup to crescent won't connect.

- 2C is bad for proration apparently, that's why I used 6A > 6B.

- 5DD kills damage.

- 214D after the second OD will drop the combo.

Anyone got to 9K yet? 8.5 is my max lol

edit: 8.6K...

Nu Challenge 30

The combo is Luna Mode OD > 214D~C > CT > 236D > 236C > 214A > 6A > 2147D > 6A > 6B > 623C > 2DD > 6C > 236236D > 236C > 22A > 236C > 22A > 632146D

Fair warning, the damage fluctuates. It doesn't guarantee 9k. It hovers around 8.9k sometimes if you miss some hits. Actual damage is 9058.

So... I assume that from watching all these Combo Videos, Nu's overall damage, even without OD, has been buffed significantly. Is this true? If so then how hard does she actually have to work to get damage over say... 4K?

Also, is anyone planning on posting a video of all of Nu's Challenge Mode Combos?

Corner damage is pretty high, mid-screen is average but can go higher if you have the resources (gravity, crush trigger).

It's already been done. Only things missing is challenge 20 (it's just land her astral), 25 (deal 4K against a guard broken opponent, which is easy) and challenge 30 (which Sphinx posted a video about above)

Ah. So it's about the same amount of work as with Lambda, but with slightly buffed rewards. :toot:

Cool.

Her Challenges look much more... strict now with her new mode change mechanic and all.

so I've made a good midscreen combo, with resources:

[Dia]2B/5B/6B/5C>3C>CT>663C>22A>6A>4B>2DD>214D>2DD>{623C, 236D Oki, 22A>4B for overhead meaty, 22A>214D~C if your opponent has no DP}[Final Mode Varies]

Hmm, yes, well coming up with Challenge 30 was difficult because finding out how to get 500 more damage than the earlier Nu OD video was a puzzle. So instead of actually doing a 5C starter, I wanted to do as much damage up front as possible.

@swd, I never thought about doing 2C > 5C, I just looked at tuka's 6A > 6B and figured adding 5C added too much time. I was under the assumption that time was the thing you had to worry about with a non-FC starter.

@Elegant, Nu's damage is pretty good if you land a hit confirm like 2b or 4b. She can transform any of those into 2.5k combo plus oki. With gravity it becomes 3.2 plus oki. With gravity and CT it becomes 3.7k plus oki. And if you're close enough to the wall, you can tag on about 700 damage to some of those combos plus oki. So yes, she does good damage, but getting it can be tough, because you have to risk getting in close range.

Ah, Thanks for explaining that to me. Nu sounds VERY solid this time around in terms of damage and set up.

Much better than that Lamb-something in CS. XD

lambderps was definitely better at setups but nu gets better damage this time around. (not counting that BS 10.5K combo i found with lambda that only works on platinum)

Oh? Hmm... I was under the impression that since Supra Rage usually, at both neutral and in the Corner, sets the opponent up for Okizemes, Nu would have the better set ups. To my knowledge, Lambda had no such tool that did quite that in Neutral and Corner, or am I mistaken?

But Nu is so much stronger at neutral =D

Agreed. In my opinion, Lambda always felt like she was missing something when it came to her Neutral game, (Low hitting Sickle Storm, and the original Act Parser come to mind), and it always just felt like she was trying to be too many things at once (An offensive/defensive zoner, a somewhat capable close-range combatant, etc) without having enough of the tools to fully realize some of those roles. Nu seems much more... well rounded.
