Kensou was helping me with the character but cant contact him now. I believe tou're refering to the blocked 214p frc into j.k. After you get a knockdown time a 214p so that it will connect just as they wakeup. Immediately frc it as it makes contact and immediately press j.k and if they blocked low, you get the overhead for free and a free combo opprotunity. If you need more just ask.
pimp2303 Posted September 10, 2007 Posted September 10, 2007 Naw not that already knew about that. Talking about how they sometimes as a mixup just do jump kick as a overhead. Everytime i try it it always whiffs. They will do stuff like j.k into 236k for ring mixups.

You either have to set it up, or notice that they are blocking high while in blockstun. like say, do secret garden in the corner6H -> 214H (2H8H2H8H), and do iad into falling slash. If they block it high, they'll be standing, but blocking low since they figure you'll land into a low and block that way. Land into a j.K, it'll connect if they are still standing from the stun of iad.S (with secret garden, you can just combo after you land from the j.K, as the bubble hits them. if not, pin them or cancel the j.K into badmoon if you are worried about not getting a combo from it). If you are just asking for the execution... well, can't help you there, it's just hitting kick as soon as you are airborne.

Now, I've checked the past couple of pages, and I found some really good vids of Nakamura and he seems to be the most solid Millia in AC. Anyways, I thought I heard Teyah saying that there would be a section where people can post their match vids. I think that's a real good idea, because we can see how other people play, too. Plus, recommendations from the mods and other people would be a big impact for the player and we can learn new things as well.

Though he rapes more than he gets raped. However, the most solid Millia is probably Woshige IMO. Dude isn't as crazy as Nakamura, but dude is pretty solid. Hell, he even beat Ogawa in that 23 v 23 vids... And yeah, we have some match vids up somewhere from a ranbat me, def1n1tely, and blitz went to. Maybe I'll start up a match-vid critique thread or something that should be significantly different from this thread...

Yeah, wouldn't you want something like Woshige vs. Nakamura or Woshige vs. Shonen? It'd be pretty epic, IMO. Then again, Nakamura got raped pretty bad at SBO by Shonen. A sad ending indeed. About the vid section, we really need some videos from you guys, because the only good american Millia player I've seen up till now was probably AKA. Hope you guys play as good, if not better then him.

Teyah Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 5K-5K (or 5K-5Sc) allows for easier knockdown combos on some characters. In these cases, the extra 5-10 damage you can get from 5S-2H isn't worth the almost certain chance that your combo will not knock down... so we do 5K-5K j.K etc. On vid posting: If you guys want to post your videos, it's best to do that in Guilty Pleasures and then just link it over here for discussion. There's no real point in cluttering the forum with a thread that will only be used every couple of months, and you'll get more exposure over there as well.
blitz Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 it's also about being burst safe (though 5K is really iffy as far as baiting bursts goes, dash 2P-5P is best or dash 5Px2) i'm interested in that oki with the turbofall -> FRC, pin. I remember the first combo i saw that USED that (it was in reload, an ex character combo), so it's funny to see it used as A crossup/high-low setup)

Keep in mind, I had just replaced my stick buttons with Sanwas so I was adjusting to real frame-accurate buttons than the spongy, laggy, almost-broken buttons I had before which also forced me to use a non-default button layout. But enough of that. WATCH AND COMMENT!
imanoob Posted October 26, 2007 Posted October 26, 2007 @ stinkmonz I think you should rush in more often, rather than just sitting around placing Hs disc for no real use. Try using IAD S pin to get in on characters
