Hey guys! Shaka here

So, a couple weeks ago. Me and a few others were thinking of a way to get more people involved in long sets. The Ft10 that were hosted earlier this year by vote weren't really the best way to get a lot of people involved and help people get better. So here’s the idea being thrown around:

-Multiple Ft5 sets between “lower ranked” players (2 players that are equally skilled) 1.5 hour block for each console (PS3 and XBL)

-During these streams, if possible. Characters specialists or top players commentating the match, not to inform the viewers, but to point out mistakes/other options/general ideas at the match at hand. (Think having a coach during your tournament match!)

-Afterwards, upload the set to Youtube for further comments/collaborations (Reviewing your match!)

My main goal in trying to organize this is to see people get better!

A lot of times, players tell other players “Do what X does or do this like Y in this video!” It doesn't really help when you’re not really sure what you’re looking for. So getting it explained during a match might help more. Also, with Ft5 sets, we’ll be about to get more sets in a certain timeframe and being streamed can help with nerves as well and revealing your bad habits over time. The players watching will be able to help and pinpoint what a certain player’s weaknesses are.

It’s just an idea, so I wanna hear everyone’s thoughts on this. The first stream will probably be near the end of the month before NEC or mid November. Let me know what you guys want. I am also compiling a player list as well so if you think you don't know what you can improve on next, sign up! There’s already have a few great players onboard, so lets make this a success!

Everyone knows I'll FT5 as many people as possible. Gotta keep climbing!

I think specific FTs between people of similar rank may be better in the long run than just votes for who wants to see what. The latter is perfectly fine, but seems a little gratuitous in general when it all becomes everybody wanting to see LK or Bace or however the votes end up skewed.

I think a training session with players would be a better bet. FT whatevers is cool and all but if the person isn't learning from their losses and/or still confused, then this doesn't help them one bit. Maybe get a character specialist, Omex, and a upcoming player on Skype call along with a streamer to sit down with this person and thoroughly explain their flaws to them, strong points, how they can improve and visual show them what you're talking about.

I was thinking about doing something like what I explained with FNEX|Raven and I've spoken to Colpevole about this as well but never was able to put it together. Maybe since this is kinda a issue now and the gap between players is growing larger and larger, I guess it would be time for me just to go ahead and do it so the gap can be shortened.

There are merits to both, I'd say. Omnix and I just finished playing like 20 games while on Skype and even though it was pretty lax/casual/friendly, it still served as a bit of a training session too. Enough for him to shake off rust from BBCP and enough for me to... get slightly less bad than I was a couple hours ago, I guess xD But regardless. He said for someone like me (just for example) I might benefit more at this point by playing longer sets with people. But I mostly like the monthly tournaments too because I can go back and watch the footage after with commentary and from there gleam a general idea of how I won/lost.

In general, I don't think there's a "wrong" choice for trying to help players, but it mostly just depends on how they choose to take from it, so long as there are others willing to help. FTs, tournaments, casual sets, or randoms, especially any with commentary or outside input/support, they all can help so long as you the player use it to examine your current state and figure out where you should be going next.

I think you misunderstood what I meant. I never said FTs or lobbies was NOT a good idea for leveling up. My thing was if the person wasn't learning from losses by doing the FT10s or tournaments, maybe a more hands-on experience might be more suitable for them.

I wouldn't mind playing more FT5/10s, I really enjoyed the one I did with Jaguar. I also wouldn't mind doing some as Elizabeth because I would like to work on her as a secondary.

i'll be down to spectate matches and help other narukami players if they choose to participate.

This might be something I'd look to do. I've still got a lot of learning to do with this game and would gladly take advice to help me get better at the game.

Let me in on this. I would love to get another shot at Tectal after all the between now and our first FT10(a couple months ago)! I'm gonna show him he's not the only Labrys around anymore!

P.S. Can you guys please tell Tectal to accept my XBL Friend Requests? It would be nice to know when he's on so I could play him more often, and y'know, get better with our character.

I'd be down for FT's and such. God knows I barely learn anything by just playing random people on Ranked which is pretty much a desolate wasteland as it is.

I'm up for participating in any way, whether it's actually as part of the FT5s or something else. This is a really good way to help players improve.

Same here. If it's Mitsuru related, hit me up.

I would really like to help in whatever way you want/need. I'm your guy to go to for Labrys stuff (provided Tectal isn't also there).

Thanks for the love, guys. <3

It's looking like this will happen late November. I'm going to start making lists for both sides soon!

For now though, I would just like your thoughts on the whole idea, how I should execute it, and if you want in!

If you already posted, thank you!

For now, expect some new info later this weekend.

I would like to participate in the PS3 setup, but I live in Brazil, so I don't know if I'm allowed or not. I'm a Kanji and Akihiko main, so if anyone would like help, I think I can say some stuff. I'm very bad at finding mistakes, though >.>. Anyway, I'll do what I can if I can join.

You know, eventually you're going to have to pick one or the other, Ammy. You can't main two characters in one game. Now, you can main random select...but you obviously don't.
