shtkn Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 Ok, I've struggled with this for a while, and even considered binding a shortcut for overdrive, but i've found a way to cancel into overdrive without fear of accidentally RCing! when you press a button, the game check if all 4 buttons are held down and if so, counts it as an overdrive activation. This means you don't need to press all of the buttons at the same time to go into overdrive! EX: hold C, then press A+B+D to activate overdrive EX: hold C+D, then press A+B to activate overdrive so make sure you're holding down A or B or C and then press the remaining buttons and you'll never RC hope that helps everyone!
Chosenninja Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 Holding A+B doesn't make you Crush Trigger?
Brice Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 Personally, i piano every button starting with C and going all the way to the left to the D button. Kind of like P-linking every button on the layout.
shtkn Posted January 29, 2014 Author Posted January 29, 2014 ah, good catch, technically only 5AB performs crush trigger, holding 6AB would give you 6B. i'll change hte example to C+D, but the principal is the same
Kurumster Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 Nothing I hate more than missing my overdrive entirely after corner 6C with Tao. Thanks for the tip.
Myoro Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 I just have burst bound to R3, but you all may be using stick.
Dark Ranger88 Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 I just have burst bound to R3, but you all may be using stick. Yeahhhhhh pad users!!! Also is it possible to have a stick with more than 4 buttons? Then just bind one of the extra buttons to be A+B+C+D. BTW I've never had a stick or examined one before lol.
Elochai Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 Most sticks are 6-8 buttons. When I first started out on stick, I admittedly had a macro for burst. Macros aren't really needed though since the buttons are so "accessible".

ReynTime180 Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Wait? People have trouble with this? Or is it only a stick player thing? Lol pad warrior 4 lyfe
