Ragnarok_F4 Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 Even if the developers team is small, nowadays is a MUST to add some online feature. That is sad indeed...Anyway, still going to buy it.
TAI-X Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 (edited) Hilarious to have a PS4 release without online play. Like with Chaos Code, this wouldn't have affected my purchase decision if I was actually interested enough in the game itself, though.Guess they decided it wasn't worth it when probably 75% of buyers will be either story mode casuals who bought it for the Tony waifus, or arcade scene pros who will exclusively use practice mode. Can't say I blame them. Edited October 9, 2015 by TAI-X
Danaiden Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 (edited) Some screenshots of the story mode and high-resolution character select screen artworks from the majority of the cast since no major english site reported about these yet:(http://www.4gamer.net/script/search/index.php?mode=article&G031068)Beware: The spoilers contain many huge images.Ryuaga & Pairon: http://www.4gamer.net/games/310/G031068/20150828008/ Sakuya & Fenrir: http://www.4gamer.net/games/310/G031068/20150903055/ Rage & Xiao: http://www.4gamer.net/games/310/G031068/20150910080/Altina & Isaac: http://www.4gamer.net/games/310/G031068/20151001046/ Rick & Melty: http://www.4gamer.net/games/310/G031068/20151008060/Rouna & Roselinde: http://www.4gamer.net/games/310/G031068/20151015045/Misty: (VS-artwork) http://www.4gamer.net/games/310/G031068/20150917024/Sonia: (VS-artwork and in-battle screenshots) http://www.4gamer.net/games/310/G031068/20151001112/SEGA will likely release images from Dylan and Urayukihime at a later date.EDIT: Seems there is an image limit because I can only see the last ones. I'll correct these later.EDIT 2: Scrap the spoilers. Seems that the pictures are just too big, there is still a bug with the forum software or the images are protected (most likely). Either way, every image of the characters are viewable on the respective links. Edited October 20, 2015 by Danaiden
KwRIOT Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 Wanted to post this earlier but the forums were down.https://www.bladearcus.com/info_event_list.php#id14Anyways, Version 2.01 patch is out!https://www.bladearcus.com/inf/ver2.01popA4_roq.pdfVarious balance changes and slight adjustments to mechanics. No mention of the addition of new characters (Misty, Sonia). Let's hope SEGA is kind enough to release the patch on consoles.
Danaiden Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 A new trailer which focuses on Misty. It shows a little bit of her story and a match against Pairon (which is more credible than the last one).
Qu_Ane Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 amiami.com has a preorder that includes a downlode code for Sonia. Not sure how you would go about redeeming that if you even can, but I thought I would mention it.
Danaiden Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 amiami.com has a preorder that includes a downlode code for Sonia. Not sure how you would go about redeeming that if you even can, but I thought I would mention it.Not just AmiAmi, every store where you can preorder it will have Sonia, and likely the first-day editions of the game will have her too.You can simply redeem it if you have a Japanese SEN/PSN account. Somewhere down the list in the left is the section "Redeem Code", there you put in the code for Sonia (which likely will be on some kind of flyer in the disc case) and then you can download her. Kurushii made a very good guide if you need further information. (http://www.dustloop.com/forums/index.php?/forums/topic/6703-importing-101/)
KwRIOT Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 Sonia Blanche gameplay video. Spends meter to power up attacks. Blew three bars on that super towards the end. Special move where she plays the violin increases meter.
TekkamanArk Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 Does this game look like a jank-as-hell freeware game still?

TekkamanArk Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 Yes indeed it still does. Yatagarasu has better production value.
Keo-bas Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 Maybe I;m Just Biase rarely care for how how games particulalry looked. Not to say I dont appreciate a games aesthetic, but its never been priority for me. I always found quality and production value subjective how ever I always been the one to support game performance over aesthetics. So maybe I'm bias against caring for graphics and what not since i found more times than often that game would sacrifice stuff such FPS, content, portability, ect due priroitising some aesthetics. I;m not sure where I see the problem in Blade Arcus approach in this. As long I can clearly see whats going on than I have no problem.
purify Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 I don't really get it, looks fine to me? For this and for NPB though, not sure if I want to get the PS3 or PS4 versions. Could do either...have better control options for PS3, but worried PS4 might look/play worse.
Keo-bas Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 since i Don't have ps4 im getting the ps3 version, I'll imagine the ps4 will be superior but I hope sega can do a decent port of this, While their other titles such as UNIEL and Denki fighting climax handled well, these were handle by different company. I won't put it past them make other...questionable choices.I fear barbone port but I can live with that if I at least get training mode, survival, time attack mode, and arcade mode then I'll be happy. Lack of netplay is bummer but not deal breaker, it wouldn't be sega's first time with fighter. any body remember vanilla virtual fighter 5? I'm willingly to bet sega would had just let this game stay in arcades if it wasn't for majority of shining series fan base being console market. But let me give sega some credit, they do seem to have some care for some of their title. just not sonic or international consumer.
TekkamanArk Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 Wait, Dengeki handled well? I messed with the game and brought it back to the store, because it felt really wonky to play. It wasn't fluid at all, and a lot of moves had weird feeling inputs (and that comes from a KOF fan).

I dont think you understood what I was saying. Denki as game ported from the arcade had no issue, not how its played. Not fuild? I don't think you know what it mean for "fluid gameplay". Its ok you don't like these games different game play but kindly stop saying something isn't fluid because you can''t adapt to it. Your post come off as annoying at this point.
hellsoldier Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 Was torn between getting Koihime Enbu or this, but since Koihime got pushed back ill prolly be picking this game up when it comes out later this month. Wondering if there is a tier list from japanese players floating around somewhere. I know a new patch just came out and all, i just don't know how different the changes are from the previous version. I see a lot of Pairon, Rage and Urayukihime in vids
purify Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 lol I was just thinking about canceling my Koihime pre-order, too, and getting this. I must have the SSH OST on CD, though... I imagine the scene for both will be about the same, i.e. basically none at all lol. I haven't seen Koihime at all anywhere, not even a random setup at Evo.

I see a lot of Pairon, Rage and Urayukihime in vids I've seen moslty Rage and Sakuya's, with few Pairion and Urayukihime every now and then. I've seen other few times but these character been developed the most imo. Their game play does seem relatively simple while other requires some creativity Like Melty and Issac oki or, Dylan grapple like gameplay, Rouna Murasame seem she can vortex like ibuki. 9 minutes ago, purify said: lol I was just thinking about canceling my Koihime pre-order, too, and getting this. America FGC is just very fickle, They barly bother with Imports, IF the game gets international realease, its goes unnotice unless major showing in scenes or need to see high level play to justify interest. Admitly Blade arcus may have chance due to series familiarity and it not being a complete waifu fest. However its none 2d sprites and none anime like gameplay may turn off alot. edit: not to mention lack of online play.
hellsoldier Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 Yeah it seems hard to find solid info on this game so I think most people will be going in relatively blind. Which is fine since I don't think people will take this game super seriously. And no online pretty much makes it another Chaos Code. I'll still give it a shot though.

I see a lot of Pairon, Rage and Urayukihime in vids I do not believe a tier-list has come out or been agreed upon yet by the player base. I have found random early (pre-November) Ver.2.01 impressions saying Sakuya, Roselinde, Rage, and Urayukihime were strong, with Sakuya being the best. The lack of Altina suggests she is still a bad character. http://shining-world.jp/kakutou/taikai/02/ Qualifiers are currently being held for the 2nd Official BAFS National Tournament as part of the APM D-1 FIGHTING FESTIVAL being held on Dec 26th. It should give us a better look at which characters the player base are using.

Yeah I figured all those characters you listed were up there just because of their range and being able to whiff punish anything. I've wondered about Altina as well. She's definitely the type of character I'd play, but nobody plays her so I have no idea what good Altina is supposed to look like. Maybe we'll see something at the D-1 tournament.

This one is a basic Sonia tutorial. Here's my rough translation attempt. Force Actions (Special Moves) Million Thrust - Lunges with consecutive sharp pokes. Additional input for a finishing strike. Sword Blast - Draws back to evade the opponent's attack and has three various followups. Sword "Asucarento" - Jumping attack from the air. Can cross up. You can hold and release the buttons during the EX version to alter the distance she travels. Aerial version's timing can also be altered by holding/releasing the button. Force Charge - Rapidly charges the Force Gauge. Super Force Actions (Super Moves) Aura Blade - Continuously slashes at the opponent. Has invincibility during startup. Use more meter to increase damage. Spend three meters and Sonia will awaken the "Golden Lightning-Strike Princess". "The Speed of God" Lightning - Charges at opponent covered in lightning. Travels to the edge of the screen and is a powerful tool*. Like Aura Blade, can spend meter to strengthen it. (*I think they're referring to the Lvl3 version. Lvl1 doesn't go far at all. Name of the attack (神速の雷光) just means some really fast Lightning)
Ragnarok_F4 Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 I think the game is out, Amiami charged me today.

Yes, the release date is the 26th of November, so we will see next, or even this, week how good (or bad) the sales be. It would intrigue me how the sales of the different editions (PS4, PS3, LEs, etc.) will be. Sega also released the last two character videos with Urayukihime and Rouna and Issac and Dylan. The other character videos can be found here. There is also a Famitsu article about the LE if someone is still undecided.
