What helped me is hitting HS and P at the same time for the hammer break. That should give you the fastest hammer break possible. It helps to display the inputs so you can see if you hit both buttons at the same time.

You just need to start holding back immediately after inputting 6k or 6hs, you can't wait to see the animation start up or you won't have the charge going quick enough. Same with 2s to 6k gatling, you want to input 2s>6k and start charging before it actually goes into the 6k. It does feel difficult in comparison to most of Potemkin's combos, at least to me.

Anywhere from 3-5 reps depending on the character you are hitting and how impeccable your timing is.Few tips:- Try starting with 6K first instead of 2S- Don't 6K immediately, give them some time to fall down. Height is very important for maxing out rep count.- If you are deep near the corner, walk backward a little bit first. The farther away from the enemy you are when you start your 6K, the easier the break timing is.- The reps with 2S 6K are much easier to time, and push you back farther which makes the next raw 6K easier. But they also raise them up higher, so may reduce your total reps.Try this for starters:Hammerfall RRC, 6K HFB, 2S 6K HFB, 5H HeatIf you can do that reliably, stick in another rep:Hammerfall RRC, 6K HFB, 2S 6K HFB, 6K HFB, 5H HeatAnd if you can do all that, move your 2S 6K rep later and do this:Hammerfall RRC, 6K HFB, 6K HFB, 2S 6K HFB, 6K HFB, 5H Heat
Soviet Bear Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 Potemkin's 236236S VS Ky's Greed Sever: in some cases it works, but in others I get hit by Ky's special. This is point-blank in both cases, but I'm not really sure why it works sometimes and doesn't at other times. I've had both scenarios happen up close and slighty farther, and both early and late in Ky's move. Anyone know what the proper timing should be to reliable grab him with the super?

KajiOkami95 Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 So I've come across many Ramethals and just wanted to share/level up on more knowledge. Some key things to note: -You could flick the two swords she sends out. First time release are/should always be (S) Horizontal, and (HS) Vertical hitting. They are summoned to your current location so a very helpful queue to F.D.B them is to input it after she finishes saying her summoning vocals. -Her Pressure normals are all combinations, so if she inputs one button, more than likely she will be following the sequence. Something to be aware of is that the max number of combinations total to a number of 3 P's/K's. Majority of these leave her in front of you, but none of these truly leave her positive. If you can react on time, after she finishes attacking, you could P.B. (The main one I would consider a definite context of this example would be her PPP combination.  Still need to confirm others) -Ramethals who use Darou during blockstrings can be punished with P.B as well. -Her wake up game is not great, so abusing jump in blockstun>P.B is important in this match up. -Of course adapt if they seem to expect it. A lot of Ramethals like to jump and summon, a H.P.B in the right spacing would call them out for it. Hope this was the right place to put this kind of post haha.  Apologies in advance if something sounds confusing. Yeah never in my life have i been so challenged in learning a character. I mean you shouldn't stress the 6K loop so much.. its highly situational and there are other options i'm guessing. The only reason i feel like dropping pot is because every-time i go in for a grab i get 6P.

AKA it dosen't' have to be instant You want to cancel the 6k with hammerfall as soon as you can. Because you lose your charge with 6k you will usually cancel a little after you hit with 6k simply because you don't have enough charge to cancel right away. There is a slight end lag on hammerfall break so you definitely don't want to mash your next 6k. Personally, I've been practicing it on the ground, just 6k>HFB>6k from one end of the stage back to the other just to get the feel for the earliest possible time to cancel 6k with hammerfall and for the quickest timing for 6K after hammerfall break. For your PB problem, really make sure to stress doing the exact input, this game is not very lenient on sloppy inputs like some other games.  Weird I never end up getting the 6P. This really makes me wanna give up on Pot this 6k loop is just way too hard. 6K loop really is just a matter of practice. He has simpler damaging combos you can go for until you get it down, and pretty much all his other combos are really easy compared to the rest of the cast. Honestly, Pot has better reasons to give up on him, like how frustrating some of the matchups can be, especially once he is pinned in the corner.

I've got no idea when to buffer/input the movements and it only comes out once in a blue moon.

Â A clean half-circle is really important for Buster. Any dropped corners will ruin it. It's something you just need to grind out. Watch your inputs in training mode. Input it during the superflash and hit P right as the projectile is appearing, you should get it consistently. I've found myself dropping it a few times just by being too late or too early... the window feels tighter in Xrd compared to +R.
