Dreiko Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Yeah that was my impression as well but since it was used as an explanation for the delay I assumed I was missing some information. I'm pretty sure they don't have voice actors for half the chars that are from shows that aren't out in this country yet.
Poultrygeist Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 I don't remember the last time a big licensing crossover ever got a dub. J Stars and PxZ were examples that DID have most of the properties get localized and even then it was too much effort and money for games that were so niche to the West.
wenzel Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 Maybe its for the licenses on US ( the diferentes ownships/ diferentes companys) tought.
orka Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 Is there gonna be a side tourney at Evo? I haven't played or kept up with the community for months but would like to play some people.
RurouniLoneWolf Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 Yes, there's going to be a side tourny at Evo. You can see a list of all the currently planned side tournaments for anime at Evo here Also, GO1 will be there and there's a bounty out on him if people didn't know

Off the top of your head, do we need to pre-reg for any games other than those specified? I will most likely only enter DFC and AH3LM.
RurouniLoneWolf Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 I think you can sign up for pretty much any of the anime side tournies when you're there, it's just HIGHLY encouraged that you pre-reg for the ones that have it available to make the tournaments go more smoothly. For Dengeki and AH3LM, it says you can sign up at Evo prior to the tournament. You can try to get more specifics by tweeting at the head TOs, Anime_Evo and Numakie, if you want.

Do people still netplay this game, btw? I think I wanna play over the next few days try to at least get some feel back.
TAI-X Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 Do people still netplay this game, btw? I think I wanna play over the next few days try to at least get some feel back. Wait till late August, the US release will bring in a flood of noobs.

It's been a while since I've played so I'm not really sure. I do remember that there's a DFC matchmaking skype group. Don't know if it's still alive but it's worth trying to get into to try and find some matches. Tweet at @Tsuntenshi about it. Also, there's a DFC facebook group you can try and find matches in too

Wait till late August, the US release will bring in a flood of noobs. That would be nice.
NeoStrayCat Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 Wait till late August, the US release will bring in a flood of noobs. Late August? The US release got delayed to October...>_> (Funny, even though there's already a TL for it already...)
orka Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 Late August? The US release got delayed to October...>_> (Funny, even though there's already a TL for it already...) October?? What the hell?? Well, I guess that gives me more time to work on that Miyuki combo video then...
Angry Guy of DE Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 I hope those side tournies get streamed or at least recorded. The main line-up is so...meh to me.
orka Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 I hope those side tournies get streamed or at least recorded. The main line-up is so...meh to me. It's a pretty hellish, rubbish, booty line-up ya.
SuzakuRainmaker Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 Yeah that was my impression as well but since it was used as an explanation for the delay I assumed I was missing some information. I'm pretty sure they don't have voice actors for half the chars that are from shows that aren't out in this country yet. My site did an interview with Sam and Julian from Sega not long after the localization was announced. They basically said they're simply translating text and not bothering with actually dubbing the game, basically due to budget and, as you mentioned, half the featured franchises not having dubs.
orka Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 The side tourney at Evo was cool. Almost 50 entrants. Everybody got a pencil boards and the upper half placers got a hoodie or track jacket.
Ben Reed Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 Man my biggest EVO regret was accidentally signing up for Melty instead of DFC side tournament, lol. I was doing pretty good by the end in casuals! But Melty's a good game too and I should dust that off for CEOtaku. Wish I could get games in online but my Internet is complete butt. Anyone streams anything (and they will, unless I play at like 2-5AM) and I go from like 3 bars to 0 in no time flat. So please come through for CEOtaku so I can actually play this game, lol.
RurouniLoneWolf Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 Don't think news of this reached here yet so for those who don't know, DFC Ignition releases in arcades 7/28 a.k.a tonight our time Also, if you didn't know this DFC Video Database similar to chainshift.com exists, you do now! ^,^

Weren't you the Selvaria player that was at the CEO freeplay event last year? I was one of the Kuroyukihime players lol. I'm pretty much going to CEOtaku for melty and maybe DFC. We should definitely get some games in if you go.

NeoStrayCat Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Well, seems like 10/6/15 is gonna be the official release date for the US/NA English version, and will include a Launch Edition with Soundtrack CD!
