LH621 Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 I don't really dust too much, cuz Buri's dust is ass, so if I do I normally have a held yoyo ready if(when) it gets blocked. When that happens and it hits, I do the standard Gatling dust combo. I used to do the cool j.2S x2, 3set thing, back when I would dust on purpose. thats the one i do most of the time. If not that one, the alternative is: 5D, j.S, j.S, j.2S, jc j.K, j.S, j.2S, Starship or 5D, j.k, j.s, j.2S, jc j.S, j.2S , _set If i have a yo yo out/roger hug, then i would do this one 5D, j.2S, j.2S, j.2S, FDC 214K, j.2S, j.c j.S, j.2S, FDC 214K, j.S (j.2S) but...i dunno if that works. ill confirm it tomorrow if i remember! just as an aside note...i dont normally complete a dust combo and go for a setup instead....with that said, im not sure if this is a fair game for comparing dick sizes
ansem Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 which place of the yoyo can you link up the most combos?
LH621 Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 which place of the yoyo can you link up the most combos Well...that depends...cause if im glitchin the yo-yo..and most likely i am....then i could link up a combo from any spot on the screen, and all combo's tend to be the same length for me. otherwise....id just say its a tie between 6-set and 3-set in the corner. Different sets for different characters
The_Odd_One Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 im just wondering if anyone tried this b4 - jump- jump 9HS - 214k - HS-9HS - 214k-HS-9HS = bridget's uber jump tell me if im writting it wrong please? - and btw wats KMSH? e.e;
LH621 Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 im just wondering if anyone tried this b4 - jump- jump 9HS - 214k - HS-9HS - 214k-HS-9HS = bridget's uber jump tell me if im writting it wrong please? - and btw wats KMSH? e.e; KSMH = kick start my heart command = 236K (when Bridget rides on his yo-yo) and no, u didnt write that notation wrong. i do it here and there (but w/ a super jump vs jumpx2 so that i can IAD afterwards). good way to delay the game and regain your composure as you plot out your next attack + roger get can catch people at random times.
722 Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 2) proper yo yo sets.... 4set, 7set (and to a lesser extent, 6 set..either in the air or on the ground)You use 7set more than even air 6set? The true key to zoning with Bridget, much like the true key to anything with Bridget, is to lose repeatedly and do the complain about your character/complain about the other guy's character 50/50. It's a mixup, they can't see it coming. I do this dust combo most of the time: 5D, j.P, djc, j.S, land, 6S, air combo But only because I do 2147K~P after dust, regardless of whether the dust hit. I can't hit-confirm it. Otherwise uhhh I think if the yo-yo isn't out I just do something basic like... 2S 2S S K S K djc S K S 2S I don't even know, I tried to do it on an imaginary joystick in front of me and it's not even in my muscle memory apparently. But I know it has a lot of S and K in it!
excelence Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 What Oki setup that u guys using the most?
blitz Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 What Oki setup that u guys using the most? um... here's what I use the most: (corner) knockdown with 236K~P, then iad.set3, falling j.2S (DP safe if done perfectly; in ac, depends on the opponents wakeup time and DP speed, but it still works on most). from there, I do a few things: falling j.2S... -land, 2K-S© (low) -(land)214K -> j.(P-)2S (high) -land, throw -HSB, land, 2K or throw from HSB, land, 2K... -214K -> j.P-K -> HSB glitch, land, dash S© into yoyo glitch combo. -delayed 2D, release yoyo, dash 6S -> aircombo --HSB glitch, gatling with 2P (burst safe) until far enough away, them max distance S(f) -> HSB glitch(hits opponent on way back) -> 236D (comes out right in from) after the above, dash jump into either low airdash mixup, or fuzzy guard mixup. more later...
Jais Posted November 30, 2007 Author Posted November 30, 2007 What dust combos does everyone use? Dust combo a go go 5D~8~j.S~8, 2~9+sj.S, land, 2S~JI~6S~sj.S~j.2S~jc.S~j.2S Dust~homing jump~j.S~(pressing up after any normal before the background turns blue will jump cancel any normal and continue you on the dust path), once you've FULLY canceled the j.S and are now just following the homing path, you can jump out of the Dust path ( I found it easier w/ a super jump [ 2~9+j.S]) Fucking win.
ansem Posted December 7, 2007 Posted December 7, 2007 I'm practicing with bridget how to do a glitch bear?
feri Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 What dust combos does everyone use? Dust Combo I'm using. D > homing > j.s > j.2s > 6set > j.s (j.p is easier to hit) > j.2s > roll > j.s > j.2s > jc > j.s > j.2s > roll > s > razor/buffer Since everyone can consistently block the dust I just use it for the lulz it seems to achieve.
Jais Posted December 8, 2007 Author Posted December 8, 2007 I'm practicing with bridget how to do a glitch bear? http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2883 Practice practice practice Good luck ^_^
blitz Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 What dust combos does everyone use? my dust combo (when the opponent techs back) tends to be something like... D /\ j.2S j.2S -> set2, j.S-2S -> 214K -> j.2S -> dj.S-2S -> 214K -> dj.S/2S -> razor, yoyo hold, or roger get (and you can do stuff like the yoyo hold, then wait and do a glitch razor or roger get, etc.) if they tech forward, you can setup the airthrow by changing the dj.S-2S into dj.S -> set4, 214K -> FD, airthrow. Or, just razor/roger get if they airdash towards the center (into roger/yoyo... hopefully. Oh, and if they DO airdash, you can do a late roger get to catch them when they come back in ^_^ (GET always goes in the direction that was considered forward when you initially set the yoyo, afterall)
feri Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 Lol I miss #R rolling Dust combo. That's back when her air normals did more damage *sigh I barely hit people w/dusts so why bother D=!! You have to REALLY get inside their head to land one. Anyways, that's a great dust combo that still doesn't make up for Buri's extremely visible AND slow dust animation.... I want 80% life for people failing to it (I know I'm a little greedy). Thanks for a nice looking alternative Jais

Anyways, that's a great dust combo that still doesn't make up for Buri's extremely visible AND slow dust animation.... I want 80% life for people failing to it (I know I'm a little greedy). Thanks for a nice looking alternative Jais There are still a few ways to have them eat a dust... 1)hidden under MAMKM 2)through a particular setup where you FRC something close to them (will also hide the dust) such as: KSMH~P (knockdown in corner), set3, dash in deep starship -> FRC, 5D (as just one example of many). And in that example, if they block it, you can HSB to really mess with them or just bring the yoyo back to be safe and continue pressure (to clarify: you are canceling the blocked dust into yoyo pull).
Kyle Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 Sup Buri players, I have written a guide to tackling your hoe and I would appreciate some of your guys input. Did I cover what needs to be said? Does May have any advantages I didn't point out? What is it that Bridget's hate MOST about May? Guide HERE. http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3666 Post Replies HERE. http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3120 Thanks Everyone, Kyle
Kyle Posted December 15, 2007 Posted December 15, 2007 Sup Bridget brigade, Thanks for all the input on the match-up guys. Your crew is quick and plentiful. Jais and I were taking about different ways to play the same character, as we're curious from the new same characters teams 23 on 23 vids from JP land. So, basically, I want to see Andrew (722) play. Do you have vids... links?

Do you have vids... links? lol, oh shit, I'm getting called out I had some old, old vids of me but they died when my last computer did. I haven't been playing very much for the past month but if I get back into it I'll try to get some stuff that's not my finger-quotes Ky end-finger-quotes up on the Internet. I can't really promise anything though.
burningvigor Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 I recently decided to pick up bridget again for some damn reason. Is there a real easy way to do the Buri pull back glitch? I can get the FB bear to come out quite easily.. but the otheres are tough. Its pretty much pressing the button immediatly after release, which is why you need two fingers right? Also.. how do you roll and fd roll while pull holding the yo yo? I do like a 360 spin on my stick and buri will roll.. but other times if I do it regularly i just FD.. much thanks if you answer this.

Roll to a HSB like this HSB, 214,N,k I prefer HSB, 2146+K OR gatlin into the roll like HSB, f.s(hit)~214+K
burningvigor Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 What about FDC roll whiling holding the yoyo?
Jais Posted December 26, 2007 Author Posted December 26, 2007 What about FDC roll whiling holding the yoyo? j.p version HSB, 214, N, [K]~[P] FD version HSB, 21[4], N, [K]~[P] ----------- You are correct about the glitch re-buffering BTW
Diveman Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 Is there any advantage or plus if i do a roger move with that fire effect??? you know, the one u get by holding H when yo-yo is out?
LH621 Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 question: Is there any advantage or plus if i do a roger move with that fire effect??? you know, the one u get by holding H when yo-yo is out Technically speaking...no, there isnt any type of added dmg on roger's attack or guard bar increase (since no yo-yo/roger moves build guard gague anymore). The only benefit of glitching is: 1) Roger comes out in a different place in relation to where u are when you glitch it 2) it could put roger back in front of the opponent if the yo yo was originally behind them 3) when u actually do the glitch, there's 2 hits involved: a) the roger attack b) the actual yo yo prior to transforming into roger (continue reading for an explaination) B/t the time the yo yo is still to the moment of the glitch occuring (i.e yo yo goes into roger when being pulled back), the yo yo is considered "active", so it could hit the opponent. With that feature, if u hit the opponent during a glitch motion, the yo yo will hit followed by the 1st hit of whatever roger call u do comboing off of that. This is all dependent on: 1) the distance b/t the yo yo and your opponent 2) the type of roger call u do
